Trying to conceive baby No 1 over 40

@Honey2 these are what I use - bought on Amazon.

@sabtom this month we ditched the Clear Blue digital ovulation predictor and it's smiley faces and tried to just dtd every other day. We managed it for the first week but then got tired so I wasn't convinced anything would happen this month.

In fact I've been really down this month- and spent a fortune of multivitamins and Coenzyme10 supplements, but as I only started them 4 days ago, they are not likely to have influenced this hcg result.

@Littlemiss40andfabulous that’s a great line! I only just got a line that strong this morning at 19dpo on the Femometer tests. That’s really great, I’m keeping everything crossed so hard for you. Can I ask what brand test that is? I’m running out and I might buy some more, stupid really I know because doesn’t tell you much as this stage but I like my morning poas 😂

DH very sensibly not getting too excited yet as we only got to 5 weeks last time and I'm trying not too too, but I am a little bit!

Slightly in shock here. 28 days since AF so expecting it any day (usual cramping would suggest that too).

Went to the loo and thought why not just try a pregnancy test on the off chance- I have enough of them to spare and got this! Must be at least my 3rd wee of the day!

DH away for the next few hours before I can tell him and now I'm a little bit distracted for all the work I was going to do today!

Very early days and only other time I saw 2 lines I had a chemical pregnancy and AF came the following week... but where there is a line there's hope!

@wanderlove hopefully it's pregnancy symptoms instead

Well as predicted AF arrived early this morning a day later than expected 😔 the cramps this month though are intense! Last time I had cramps this bad was my teenage years and after my miscarriage last year. Wondering if it's a side effect of the acupuncture I'm having? 🤔

Anyway, appointment made this morning for my initial scan to start IVF.

I'm also due AF in the next few days. I've got spots and ratty as hell so expecting it soon.
I've feeling a bit despondent...probably a bit of pmt. I hate the vague hope that it isn't going to come.

@Littlemiss40andfabulous I've been taking Ubiquinol for about a year although I've only been taking 400mg for a couple of months

@sabtom yes I'm taking 400mg (200mg twice a day) as the book recommends.

Got to be patient and wait several months now to see if it will have any affect. How long have you been taking it for?

I think AF will arrive tonight or tomorrow for me too...

Well it looks like I'm out again this month, CD 29 for me (TMI sorry) started with light brown spotting yesterday a littler and again just later this afternoon. I haven't had the brown spotting before AF for a few months now so it's a bit unusual this month and I'm usually on 26/27 cycle so 29 days is the longest I've had. If it wasn't for the temp drop this morning I would've taken a test thinking it could be implantation but I expect AF so up tonight or tomorrow morning
So now we're gunna make an appointment and get the ball rolling for IVF, I don't see the point in holding off any longer, my eggs are only getting older

@Marvellouslymadmum thanks! I couldn’t resist and I did a clear blue weeks test and it came up 2-3 weeks which has put my mind at rest a bit!

@Honey2 I think your lines look great on the frer! Lovely progression, the others have progression it's just light lines it may just be the way those tests are

Hi @Honey2 yes I do and I started them today. We also now have milk in glass bottles being delivered and I've got rid of all my plastic storage containers as the book suggested. DH not thrilled at having to take multivitamins too!

Im doing ‘ok’ worry myself sick, which is pointless but can’t help thinking it’s likely to go same way as back in Feb/ March. I’ve had reasonable progress on FRER tests but the cheapie Femometer tests are still so faint and no progression it’s doing my head it
