toomuchtimehaunting · 25/10/2007 10:13

Morning all - thanks for all the hugs and sympathy.. I think I'm starting to pull myself out of my depressive state.. I'm getting AF like symptoms already so although I'm gutted it means that no BFP - it almost resets the clock to a new cycle of hope - IYSWIM

Ready thanks for being so nice - I was just feeling sorry for myself I think..

MT big hugs - hope you're feeling better this morning - your DS sounds wonderful and you sound like a fab mam!! so never feel guilty!

BB hi - sorry to hear about your ball - I thought it was a really good idea too maybe with a different venue it will fly..

nomore morning and thanks for the group hug

everyone else.. hello

mistlethrush · 25/10/2007 08:43

I could just do with getting rid of this awful cough. Basically been off work all week - although doing some bits and a meeting on Tuesday so not exactly totally off. Mostly at home though.

Went to accupunturist yesterday and as well as accupuncture have some chinese herbs to boil up. Will no doubt taste disgusting, but hope it will help to clear it.

((hugs to all of us)). Perhaps we should try starting a new thread and seeing if we can all be a bit more upbeat?!

noooomoooorescarynames · 25/10/2007 07:49

(((ready/MT/toomuch/BB/nomore))) sounds like we need a big group hug (that's why I added myself in!) Sorry you're all down at the moment.

ReadySteadyTrickOrTreat · 24/10/2007 23:09

I'm low enough on my own MT - you don't need to apologise. You are a wonderful mother - just reading the way you talk about your DS and the pride and pleasure you have in him shows us all how much you love/cherish/value him and he couldn't need for anything else.

ReadySteadyTrickOrTreat · 24/10/2007 23:08

... that's not to say that your DS will be an only child forever, just that it wouldn't be terrible if he was... I am rubbish at explaining what I mean... but honestly, please don't torture yourself.

mistlethrush · 24/10/2007 23:07

Sorry Ready, didn't want to get you down as well...

ReadySteadyTrickOrTreat · 24/10/2007 23:06

Oh no, don't MT - the way I am feeling at the moment, I will be howling with you Don't feel bad, even if your DS was an only child, that is not a bad thing. Please don't beat yourself up for things you cannot control. ((hugs)) All you should do is your best, and I just know you are anyway!! Sob.

mistlethrush · 24/10/2007 22:56

And I'm sitting here in tears, worrying about the pressure that we're putting on him, being an only child - and worrying about what might happen to him and how or what I can do to prevent anything - but not possible....

mistlethrush · 24/10/2007 22:55

Ready - I agree totally. We have the most amazing ds - and he was really worth waiting for - even though it was 6 years (and lots of bad times). I also think that I might value him more than I would do if he'd turned up more quickly. Please note value, not love - I'd have loved him whatever, and can't suggest that I'd have loved any child less - but I really appreciate him and how special he is to me.

ReadySteadyTrickOrTreat · 24/10/2007 22:41

Toomuch - Oh sweets, big hugs. Never feel that you have to keep your head down just because others have been trying for x amount. Your pain is relative to you and you alone. There is no timeframe that dictates when you can get upset.
All I will say is do try to relax about it, the average time is 12 months - and without wanting to sound too bawdy - enjoy plenty of sex!!!
It's so hard waiting and not knowing. I hear you! There is no harm in going to see your GP, I was lucky with mine, she was a total star. Even if they don't start tests, sometimes it is good to talk to someone. Hang in there, flower, and we are here for you - rant away as much as you want. We understand ((hugs))

MT - It's amazing how long you tried and what you went through, I always think though (and I am sorry if I sound a bit mental) but if all those things didn't happen, you wouldn't have the same DS that you have. If you understand what I mean. A different egg and different sperm would have made a totally different baby, so the DS you have makes all that bearable I would imagine, as he is perfect.

BabyBratt - nice to see you, sorry you have had some bad things going on

Hello everyone else... how are you all

mistlethrush · 24/10/2007 22:22

I think it is a fab idea. Sorry that it didn't work out this time. Let me know if anyone feels like doing anything else that evening - I may be able to help!

Main thing is all is OK with you.

noooomoooorescarynames · 24/10/2007 22:15

is a fab idea

noooomoooorescarynames · 24/10/2007 21:49

Hiya BB good to see you Glad baby's still 'on board' Sorry about your ball - it is fab idea, hopefully you'll be able to revive it again sometime.

BabyBratt · 24/10/2007 20:53

We had to cancel. We took the decision today because we had only sold 10 tickets. I have not been able to work on it because I have not been in and it would appear that the good old bp did nothing either. But people were saying that the venue was a little to far out of Sheffield.

I am truely gutted. I really thought is was a brilliant idea.

mistlethrush · 24/10/2007 20:46

BB - glad all things OK, have missed you! Glad things going OK. How are preparations for the ball going?

BabyBratt · 24/10/2007 20:24

Hi Guys

Hope you are all well. I have not been on here for ages. Had a few personal problems lately but its all sorted now but it has taken up all of my time

Really hope everyone is ok, great to see you lot are all still cyber shopping for baby things.

Baby is still on board and I am now 14 weeks, not really showing but my normal trousers do not fit anymore.

mistlethrush · 24/10/2007 19:36

It happens. Can you do something nice or naughty that will cheer you up?

toomuchtimehaunting · 24/10/2007 15:19

Thanks guys.. guess I'm just feeling sorry for myself

mistlethrush · 24/10/2007 14:53

Don't let it get you down - and try not to let it rule your life and colour every minute of the day (you see, you're not alone - I've been there toooooo) - going to GP earlier rather than later can't hurt - you never know. But sometimes it happens just when you've given up all hope of it happening - see me x 2 - was resigned to IVF when became pregnant naturually twice.

I don't know whether accupuncture helps, but it certainly relaxes me - so might be worth trying out even if only from that point of view - and if it helps, you never know...

noooomoooorescarynames · 24/10/2007 14:37

toomuch ther are times when it seems it'll never happen, don't worry we've all felt like that. Can you go to your doctor to just talk about ttc? They may start tests sooner than 1yr if you're lucky, or if not at least you'll be on their 'books'? My GP would have started tests at 9 months as both DH and I are young(ish) and otherwise healthy. Could be worth a try? hugs xx

toomuchtimehaunting · 24/10/2007 14:08

It's only 5 cycles (6 months) - so not that long compared to others and if it was just a case of waiting I wouldn't be so upset but because I've never been pregnant before I don't know if I'm capable of it and I'm starting to worry that I may never get pregnant.. I know I'm being irrational - and I apologise to everyone going through much worse (which is part of the reason I've been keeping my head down) - I just feel a bit at the moment ..

mistlethrush · 24/10/2007 13:25

Toomuch - it does get you down, I know. We waited 4 yrs (and got to the top of the NHS IVF list) when I found out that was pregnant - then had mc at 10wks followed by mp... 2yrs on, beautiful ds (having got to the top of the NHS IVF list again) - so it can work, even for those of us who thought that we needed help... Just think how you'll treasure dc when eventually it arrives (and ask why it kept you waiting all that time)

How long is it for you now? I've lost track

((((hugs))))

toomuchtimehaunting · 24/10/2007 13:13

I'm just keeping my head down MT as feeling a bit low..

mistlethrush · 24/10/2007 11:16

I'm scared! Its soooooo quiet on here today!!!!!

mistlethrush · 24/10/2007 10:34

I love this hat - might have to have a go at something like this for ds. Or possibly me!
