noooomoooorescarynames · 30/10/2007 12:41

Crikey it's quiet in here
Hope you are all ok?

mistlethrush · 29/10/2007 23:27

Hope cat is OK - always difficult with pets. At least ds can now tell me when he's not feeling well - although we now have to take what he says with a pinch of salt as he rather likes calpol and will say that he's ill in order to get some! We've just finished the tixilix night-time and they only had Benelin available - luckily this doesn't taste as nice as Tixilix - he can now be persuaded to have Benelin to make his cought better, but he doesn't want to have it because he likes it!

Just watching Pib and Pob on Ardman DVD - don't think we'll show it to ds....

noooomoooorescarynames · 29/10/2007 17:30

but at only cd22 I'm not reading anything into it. Prob a good job I'm off alcohol at the mo as it would only make me more (not ttc related - my cat's very ill at the mo)

mistlethrush · 29/10/2007 12:55

Nomore - off alchohol - maybe you don't need to join in the round of marinis that seems to be circulating here!

I'm going to have one though, even though we won't be 'trying' again until after Christmas - need to be sure that everythings OK first with my history. Got to get myself geared up to buying some more tests so that I can verify that nothing happening - if still faint+ve have to go and get some blood tests sorted to make sure levels are dropping. Oh what joy!

flosspot · 29/10/2007 11:30

Ooo- not wanting chocolate.....I went off chocolate....could be a good sign!!!!

Just popping in to say hello, and to sprinkle liberal amounts of baby dust in your Martinis!

noooomoooorescarynames · 28/10/2007 16:10

Can anyone piont me in the dorection of the link bout Cm please?

PiggyPenguin · 28/10/2007 14:14

Hmmmmmmmm Nomore, going off alcohol is a pretty classic symptom isn't it? I don't fancy it at all at the moment, but then given that I currently spend most of my day discreetly burping and feeling very mildly nauseous that's perhaps not too surprising.

I also have gone off chocolate!!!! Its just wrong wrong wrong in oh so many ways to not want chocolate.

noooomoooorescarynames · 28/10/2007 13:00

no idea - I've tried most things at sometime or other but I can't remember what was for what. Think zinc is for DH for something...

teeheelaydee · 28/10/2007 12:55

Morning ladies (or is it afternoon ?)

BTW - What is the deal with zinc - should I be roping DP into taking it ? Have banned hot baths again following mc.

noooomoooorescarynames · 27/10/2007 21:37

ready I'm really not fancying booze at the mo, though trying not to read anything into it

noooomoooorescarynames · 27/10/2007 21:36

Hello teehee nice to meet you
and to think I was beginning to worry that we were going to have a whole day of no one posting
Hi sybil how are you?

teeheelaydee · 27/10/2007 21:26

Fringing - v/impressive. I have only attempted square or rectangles ie: scarves and blankets. Plan for next project to be something with shape - prob baby jumper, mainly because it will take me 10 years to knit anything big enough for an adult !

PiggyPenguin · 27/10/2007 21:13

Hi teeheelaydee, welcome to the thread. Please feel free to take your shoes and make yourself totally at home!

I'm really sorry to hear about your mc. I'm also (infrequently!) on the mc thread as I had one in January. Like here, the people there are fab and I have found both threads to be really supportive.

Obviously you're going to fit right in here if you are already up with the knitting! So far I've only managed a scarf, but in my defence, it had fringing and everything...

teeheelaydee · 27/10/2007 20:23

Evening ladies - Can I join you ?

TTC #1 for about 10 months and just had mc at 9+5. On ttc after mc thread as well and it has been fab for support.

Your talk of shopping and knitting has made me think of normal things which is great. Have seen the Debbie Bliss book and loved it but DP bought different easy baby knits for my bday. Currently doing a baby blanket (thankfully started it b4 pg so been able to face picking up this week)

ReadySteadyTrickOrTreat · 26/10/2007 20:55

Tray of Martini's - anyone want one

PiggyPenguin · 26/10/2007 18:34

Blimey, I've been away a few days and the new look really freaked me out! And coming in at the beginning of the thread, who thought that would be a good idea?

Anyway, have now gone back to normal (as I suspect as everyone else - pity the poor tech bods who slaved over those changes!) so how are you all? Will try to scroll down and see what I have missed, the knitting sounds like it is coming on!

toomuchtimehaunting · 26/10/2007 09:53

Hey guys - my mobile would not let me on this new spangly website last night - how annoying

anyway - hello everyone!! IT's the weekend nearly - yay!!

I think I want a martini baby too - I reckon I'm just trying to convince myself that if it doesn't happen before xmas it's for the best so that I don't feel too upset.. pathetic I know!

Oo - might check out the debbie bliss website and see if I can find a class too..

How's everyone feeling today? MT - are you better? Ready - hope AF isn't giving you too much jip. Nomore - how's it hanging dude? Gilly - how's work this week? Everyone else - big wave

ReadySteadyTrickOrTreat · 25/10/2007 23:05

Love it!!! I want a Martini baby!!! It is official.

And to reiterate, now that I am fully up to speed with the lingo, you are not selfish at all noomoore!! There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting a baby whenever!

noooomoooorescarynames · 25/10/2007 23:00

here it is and it was chocolatedays who first said it

noooomoooorescarynames · 25/10/2007 22:57

I have no idea where I saw it (prob on one of those how can I get a pink one as I have six blues already type of thread) but the OP was saying it in the same context as I was in that she'd settle for a martini baby.

ReadySteadyTrickOrTreat · 25/10/2007 22:55

nooomoooore - link to where you saw the phrase Martini baby... to get context. Sorry for confusing you

MT - Yes, MN is great for support. I would have been a wreck without it

mistlethrush · 25/10/2007 22:52

I know what you mean re anytime - but with me, and previous history, need to be 100% that no other problems (once you've had mp, chance of it coming back is hugely higher - and I had to have chemo - which makes it more unlikely to have got in the 1st place....) - so will work for us both ways. Really schooling needs to be sorted differently so that there are at least 2 assessment sessions per year rather than just one, but that's not likely to happen.

mistlethrush · 25/10/2007 22:48

All gone very weird. Wrong colours - pages (what's that about?)

Probably won't post much over next few days - my parents coming up to visit, as is mil and dh' good friend. Might be a bit busy. . Mind you, plenty of people to look after ds so I don't have to (that nearly came out as gin!!!! )(only because he's quite full-on at the moment and not really feeling up to being so in-to everything!)

This place is great - really helps doesn't it - talking (OK writing) to other people that are in the same or similar sorts of situations...

Have a good Friday and weekend everyone

noooomoooorescarynames · 25/10/2007 22:41

links to what? Confused
