Hi @Rumi1 - I have a low egg reserve too!

But conceived child #1 three years ago, straight away. Didn't know about egg supply then, but it must have been on the low side already.

I'm 39 and have monitored things closely for the last few months, but now taking a step back and aiming to relax more. Stress definitely doesn't help.

On day 32 and have felt all week that AF is on the way. Think I ovulated later than usual - day 19 or 20. Hate the wondering!

Mysteryyy · 30/10/2020 14:14

@Sleeeeeepy fingers crossed🙏

Rumi1 · 30/10/2020 14:10

Welcome to all the new ladies

Thought I'd pop by as I have up a few months ago charting

So I consciously TTC #3 at 37

Only anomaly we have is move hit a low egg reserve

But I have had 3 pregnancies in the last 2 years - so you only need 1 good egg

How is everyone doing ?

I'm not tracking

No clue when AF the is due

Feeling sleepy all the time and god back pains so she's possibly on her way xx

Sleeeeeepy · 30/10/2020 13:33

Welcome @Mysteryyy ! The witch arrived for me yesterday so also on cycle 7, fingers crossed it's a lucky one x

Feetupteashot · 30/10/2020 13:32

42, TTC #3 for a few months now, day 33, usually 26-29 days cycle, was getting really really excited but bfn :(

Am I deluded to think an early morning urine might change things?

Good luck all, been lurking for a while

Mysteryyy · 30/10/2020 13:30

Thanks LT103 ❤️ Trying to stay positive while counting cycles with negative tests is a challenge🤨

LT103 · 30/10/2020 13:03

Welcome @Mysteryyy I’m 38 and trying for baby #1 too. This is our 6th cycle (I think, I’m starting to lose count)

Sleeeeeepy · 30/10/2020 13:01
@Keepeas yeah I do it cos my oh is never gonna agree to every other day So at least this way we can try and ensure we cover at least a couple of days in fw!
I use Femometer ones so still cheap but I’ve used a lot this month. I was oNly doing twice a day because I wasn’t getting anything above 40ish. Been high on and off since day 10 so not sure what’s happening. I usually stay at peak for 24 hours but I guess not every cycle is the same. Will just see what happens. Everything else pointing to 4dpo so guess I’ll go with that! Someone needs to invent a little device that works all this out for you!!!
I hear you, I just don't have the energy for every other day then every day, and work usually gets in the way as well 🙄

Mysteryyy · 30/10/2020 12:34

Hello everyone. I'm TTC, just turned 37 and for the baby #1. Period just came😞 so on cycle 7)
new cycle, new hopes🙏 looking forward to following everyone's journeys. And baby dust to everyone💫

LT103 · 30/10/2020 08:23

@keepeas oh fingers crossed. That sounds hopeful. And I think positive thinking is always a good thing!!
I liked Ovia but it was better when I was super keen at the start. I quickly stopped putting ally symptoms in so I use fertility friend now for tracking bbt and I have the Femometer app to interpret my opk

Keepeas · 30/10/2020 08:03

I used to use ovia, preferred it for logging all symptoms, but now use premom cos it works with the opks.
I'm feeling probably unreasonably hopeful this month, my temp went up much higher than normal yesterday and still up today (10dpo), normally my temp starts dropping around now 🤞🤞
So either pregnant or got the virus 🤣 (its not as high as that!)
Decided this month that I get disappointed even when I try not to be hopeful, so I might as well be hopeful and positive

Vie8126 · 30/10/2020 07:53

@highlandmama I use Ovia I had to go back and put my last 3 cycles in for it to match up with where I should be so have you tried that? I don't temp but a friend of mine swears I should!

@CC81 acupuncture sounds nice have you found it helpful to relax? Fingers crossed everything works out for your test.

I sent off my finger prick test yesterday well what a faff it was to get the amount of blood they needed it ended a literal blood bath and now have 3 very sore fingers 😂 hope for results next week at some point I guess.

Trying4mylastmiracle · 29/10/2020 20:03

@CC81 fingers crossed 😊you not out till witch shows up

M4v3r1ck · 29/10/2020 15:28

@CC81 I really hope it's a BFP for you, or if it is the witch, that she disappears for your test!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Re: temp and OPKs... I started using BBT during the last cycle and I was all over the place. This cycle is more regular and I've been getting into the habit of doing it as soon as I wake up every morning. I think I'm "normal". 🤷🏻‍♀️

I started using the cheap easy@home OPKs a couple of cycles ago, and after a bit of stress realised that I drink too much water. I measured around once a day average, and left the test for about 8 mins before scanning. I also used manual scan. All of these things resulted in me supposedly finding my peak - hope that helps! 😃

As for apps, I use premom (simply cos of BBT and the OPKs - that's the recommended app for those), but I'm not a fan of the app in general. I like Ovia for all the extra info it gives you. I also have the free Flo version and it's good as a "third option"! All three seem to be pretty much in agreement with each other on predictions! 😃

Oops wrote an essay! 😂

Keepeas · 29/10/2020 08:51

I temp and also need to stop, especially as in theory the reason I temp is to keep DTD until my temp goes up after peak, but we usually get bored 2 days after peak and stop dtd.
@LT103 It looks like youve ovulated to me. Do you opk test multiple times a day? You might have a really short peak and miss it if you test once a day?
I've switched to easy@home sticks because they're much cheaper than CB, and with premom app they measure the ratio of test line and control line so you know you've peaked.
@cc81 🤞 that you're pregnant! But understand how frustrating it is to have to postpone hycosy. The fertility consultant i saw told me i should have hycosy, but my GP said I won't get it on nhs because of having LO. Definitely heard of other mums on here having it, but I dont think my tubes are blocked. She just said that there's a strange coincidence of hycosy leading to natural conception, so could be worth trying.

LT103 · 29/10/2020 08:27

The chart might help!

Anyone any use at temping? Usually my cycle is pretty standard, I get a high opk followed by a peak that lasts about 25hrs, usually ovulate next day confirmed by temps. (Like you guys I think I need to quit all this as it is extra stress!!!!!)
However, this month lots of high opk but no peak. I was worried not ovulated yet but had 3 days of ewcm with lots of spotting on the last day and my temps show that that is ovulation day which sounds right. But with no peak opk??? Is that possible??

I’m getting near the time to contact doctor about things as next month will be around the 6 month mark. I’m sure first thing they’ll say is to stop tracking it all!! 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

whatever1980 · 29/10/2020 08:07

Hi @Highlandmama I bought two thermometers - one for £10 which meant would've had to write down temp and didn't use and then another for £30 which is Bluetooth and transfers tempt to phone but like you I have a toddler who wakes up in night at different times so temping just hasn't happened and I'm £40 down though they'll come in handy anyway.

I've bought the ava bracelet secondhand on eBay this week which you wear at night and it takes your temp so will see how that goes.

Ultimately need a blood test though to check hormones are balanced

CC81 · 29/10/2020 08:04

Also, my period is late but I know it's not pregnancy... I felt stressed yesterday and nauseous today, which are generally signs that it's about to start.

Annoyingly, I needed my period to be over by next Tuesday, when I have my hyfosy tubal patency test at the hospital. But unless it starts today, that's unlikely! So I'll have to cancel Sad

It's hard to get the timing right for the test. It needs to be after my period but ideally before ovulation, so we don't lose a month of trying.

CC81 · 29/10/2020 07:59

@Trying4mylastmiracle - Thank you! Some days I'm more positive than others, but I keep trying!

@Highlandmama - I've been temping for a while now, and to be honest I want to stop because it's such a faff! But haven't been able to because my Chinese acupuncturist likes to know how my chart is doing Grin

I've liked the acupuncture, but I'm going to stop soon. I currently go weekly for a session, which also includes massage and reflexology. And Chinese herbs.

It's nice, but very expensive - and it's just another series of things that makes me think about my fertility (when really I want to relax and think about the whole thing a lot less).

I just need to figure out how to tell them! It's so difficult... Shock

Highlandmama · 28/10/2020 23:07

@Happyhappy37 live your best life while TTC exactly!

Well ladies. I thought I would start “temping” if that’s the right phrase because we need another thermometer in the house and why not? Day 1 I have discovered it’s a total faff, didn’t work the first time (unless I was hypothermic) and won’t combine well with a toddler prone to waking up at weird times! Downloaded the Ovia app and have done something wrong already because fertile days are weeks away!! To persevere or just give up with the tracking and relax? Anyone have good (free) app recommendations?! CD7 here...cycle 6 of TTC.

M4v3r1ck · 28/10/2020 20:19

@Happyhappy37 wow moving and studying - go you!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 As @Loladoodle says, I'm definitely glad my studying days are over! 😂

@CC81 I hope things go well with the fertility counsellor! 😘

@Vie8126 @whatever1980 hope you get answers soon with your tests! 🤞🏻

Been feeling nauseous for a few days here and some left side cramping, so treated myself to a McDonald's! 😈 Trying not to be too hopeful, but not too negative re: this month! It's such a challenge getting the balance right!

Trying4mylastmiracle · 28/10/2020 16:59

@CC81

Hi *@Vie8126 - On the subject of tests, I don't know if you saw my previous post to @whatever1980*, but you may find this helpful.

It's really important that you don't allow test results to freak you out and rule your expectations (like I did!). It causes a lot of stress and scientists don't agree on the importance of them.

Here's what I said, tweaked a bit... :)

I have very low AMH (low egg reserve) and have been told by an expert at a private clinic that it's still absolutely possible for me to get pregnant naturally.

Apparently there are lots of women walking around with low AMH who have no idea. Some get pregnant and some don't. It's all rather a lottery based on getting a 'good egg' in any given month.

He also said relaxing was very important... he says he wishes I hadn't found out about my low AMH!

However, it can be worth getting a scan done to check that everything else is working properly. My womb and ovaries are all normal and healthy; and soon I'm having a tubal patency test (NHS) to check for blockages.

I'm 39 and TTC #2... but we're currently trying to decide whether to simply accept our family of three (had our first easily when I was 36). Or alternatively, give IVF a try, to speed things along - but it's unlikely to work for us (as IVF is mostly about egg numbers).

I'm seeing a fertility counsellor to try to get my thoughts all sorted out.

@CC81Amazing response whatever you decide wishing you well baby dust your way but I’m glad you are a very happy positive individual 😊
Loladoodle · 28/10/2020 15:57

@Happyhappy37 never too late! And it’s good to get the cogs turning
