And thanks @Tammy80 too - that's lovely of you Smile I'm 39, so not too far away in age.

I'm just really shocked! Even if it goes nowhere, it's a step further than where we've been.

M4v3r1ck · 31/10/2020 17:26

@CC81 yaaaasssssss 😍😍😍😍😍😍 so delighted for you!!! I hope all progresses ok!!! 😘😘😘 please keep us updated!!!

CC81 · 31/10/2020 17:22

Thank you. Now I have a different reason to cancel Tuesday's tubes test (for the moment, at least).

I guess this means at least one of the tubes must be okay? Confused

Tammy80 · 31/10/2020 17:21

Hi all, I’ve been following this chat since thread 2. I’ve never been brave enough to post but I’m so excited for @CC81 that I couldn’t help myself!!
Massive congratulations you’ve made me smile and given me hope this evening. I hope this is a sticky one for you 😊
I’m 40yrs old trying to conceive #3 since January 2020 with current partner. I’m blessed with 2 DC (15&11) from a previous relationship.
Have been taking Pregnacare Conception and Vitex as I felt that my hormones were out of whack but I’ve had no luck so far. Cycle is always regular 24-26 days. Just hoping I haven’t left too late!

Highlandmama · 31/10/2020 17:07

@CC81 congratulations! That’s awesome. I know it’s early days but so pleased for you x

CC81 · 31/10/2020 16:46

Holy sh*t.

I daren't get excited, as there may be quality issues or abnormalities (I'm at high risk of that, due to very low egg supply). Lots of hurdles to get through yet.

But if nothing else, it shows my eggs are still fertilisable...

M4v3r1ck · 31/10/2020 16:39

Lack of knowledge reading its head again... can you remind me the difference between the cheap HCG tests and FRERs??? 🙈

Loladoodle · 31/10/2020 16:37

@lucieloos how are you keeping? All going well?

Loladoodle · 31/10/2020 16:14

@CC81 I’m so hopeful for you 🤞 def a frer would show a result today!

lucieloos · 31/10/2020 15:52

@CC81 yes a frer would definitely be accurate today. Do you have one? Mild cramping and feeling yucky are signs of pregnancy as well.

CC81 · 31/10/2020 15:34

Thanks all - do you think if I do a FRER later today, it'd be accurate?

If it's negative, I'd like to know ASAP so I don't start getting hopeful.

I'm cautious because it feels like AF is about to start - mild cramping etc. And feeling a bit yukky. I've felt it a few times this week.

It might be a CP that's fading away, maybe. I've never had one before, so don't know what happens! I'm about 14 DPO.

M4v3r1ck · 31/10/2020 15:28

Happy Halloween ladies! 🎃🧛🏻‍♂️🧙‍♀️🧟‍♀️

Welcome to the newbies! I'm 36 and TTC #1. 😘 This is cycle #6 for me too.

Currently 12 dpo and really really really hoping the witch doesn't appear!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Booo to those with AF! Hope you have plenty of choc/wine/gin in! 😘

@CC81 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 keep us posted!!!!

Sleeeeeepy · 31/10/2020 15:28

Squeeee!! @CC81 that's a line!!!xx

lucieloos · 31/10/2020 15:07

@CC81 that is a definite line and has colour to it. My first test was on one of the cheapies it was 9dpo and was such a shadow it was barely there but when I did a frer a couple of days later it was really dark. They just aren't as sensitive but I would say yours is looking good!

Loladoodle · 31/10/2020 15:03

That looks more than a shadow to me! I think you need to get a frer ASAP!!! Eeek!

LT103 · 31/10/2020 14:54

Argh @CC81 that was a definite line. If maybe hold off and test again tomorrow. Do you have a frer?
I’ve had a false positive on an ic before so I’m always so wary!! Really hope you get another line tomorrow!!!!! 😬🤞

CC81 · 31/10/2020 14:37

@Loladoodle - Thanks for your reply!

There was a vague shadow on the second one, but not sure if I'm kidding myself! I'm worried that even if it's positive, it can't be a very strong one (as the line was so faint).

TTC 35+ Thread 5 Cougar and Silver Fox Club
Loladoodle · 31/10/2020 14:11

@CC81 that line was so clear!! Has the next test not came up with a line at all?

CC81 · 31/10/2020 11:10

Think it must be false, as I've now done another and nothing showing. No surprise there.

Ugh, that was a weird feeling! My heart rate went through the roof.

Never mind!

CC81 · 31/10/2020 10:47

Few mins later (but maybe too long now to be accurate?).

I REALLY shouldn't be doing this to myself... Blush

CC81 · 31/10/2020 10:38

I shouldn't be doing this to myself, as I know it's so incredibly unlikely - but I'm an idiot, so...

Day 33 (14 days DPO) and I've done a cheapo test. Is there a very faint line here, or am I imagining it? And does a line this faint actually count for anything anyway?

Evening all

How is everyone?

I'm starting SMEP tomorrow (haven't told DH yet). Trying to stay positive but I've got a strong gut instinct that this isn't going to happen. Like I can't see myself pushing a pram again or having sleepless nights again with a baby but I'm still tracking and taking supplements like on autopilot.

Highlandmama · 30/10/2020 18:18

Thanks @Vie8126 and @whatever1980 and others for the advice on apps. I’ll persevere with temping and Ovia and see how it goes! Welcome newbies and hoping for more BFPs on here soon! Funny story on temping - I woke up and frantically felt around in the dark thinking it was almost morning and my toddler would be awake any minute, found the (cheapie) thermometer, took my temperature (5 mins wait!) and when I put the light on to log it, it was 11:30pm and I had been asleep for about 45 minutes 🤦‍♀️

CC81 · 30/10/2020 18:05

@Vie8126 - Yes, the acupuncture was really good - combined with Chinese massage and reflexology. It definitely helped me cope with the stress of recent months.

I was doing it weekly, so had to stop because it was expensive and time-consuming! But I'll return to it in future (less frequently).
