Hi all.
I haven't posted onhere in quite some time.
I've ttc since June. I have 3 children. Have previous suffered 4 miscarriages.
Anyway in September I decided it was taking over my life so I was going to stop tracking and stop trying abd if it happened then great.
A couple of weeks a go I was due on, in the morning I had terrible period cramps the worst I've had. I thought to myself this is going to be a terrible period.

Later that night the pains had completely dissapeared and NO AF. I went for wee and something told me to grab a test out of the cupboard.

To my shock it pinged up bfp straight away. Im still in shock. We only dtd twice that month.
It just shows if you relax it can happen.
I know there was a thread following on from this one for bfp but I can't remember the name?
I keeping my fingers crossed for a sticky bean this time.
Just wanted to come kn abd say hi abd spread some positivity. 🤗🤗

@whatever1980 could be signs of a stronger ovulation 🤞

whatever1980 · 28/11/2020 13:28

Since I've started taking supplements I get twinges in my right ovary definitely didn't before around now CD9 and I'm not sure whether that is a good thing or bad thing or something caused by the supplements

Kitekat81 · 28/11/2020 12:21

@Loladoodle that sounds like a good deal, I will check them out!

Kitekat81 · 28/11/2020 12:19

@SS123456 @whatever1980 yeh I've been thinking about that myself. I currently take 8 tablets a day and may be increasing to 11 😳 I take them all in one go but it does seem a bit mad to get your body to try and absorb them all at the same time.

whatever1980 · 28/11/2020 10:07

@SS123456 I take mine all in one go but I think I read it's better to stagger so body can absorb

Loladoodle · 28/11/2020 08:30

@Kitekat81dp is 31 he hasn’t been for any tests we decided we wouldn’t do that. I had such a stressful time ttc with my ex h with all the testing etc. I didn’t want to go through that all again and we both feel there’s no point getting tested as we aren’t considering ivf we are just hoping it happens for us but will accept if it doesn’t.

I ordered different q10 tablets last night as noticed Holland and Barrett had a good deal on theirs £32 for 60 200mg I paid. That’s half price than what they usually cost. Will give them a whirl!

SS123456 · 27/11/2020 23:05

Out of interest do you take all your supplement at the same time or do you stagger them through the day? I'm getting quite a collection now and wondering if I should avoid taking them all at once? 🙈

whatever1980 · 27/11/2020 22:16

I take the same brand as you @Kitekat81 was hoping there'd be a Black Friday deal on it - not really

Meant to start smep tonight but DH is snoring away

Kitekat81 · 27/11/2020 21:43

Ooh @Loladoodle how old is your dp? Mine is 43, I've got him on wellman and tried to get him to take coq10 as well but he wasn't keen, which I was partly relieved about because I didn't really fancy paying double for us both to take it! His semen analysis came back "normal" so hopefully we're all ok on his side, he has a pretty healthy lifestyle 🤞

Loladoodle · 27/11/2020 21:20

I’m taking Natures Best 200mg. I have dp taking it as well so it does work out expensive. I’m not going to up the dose for a few months until I see if there’s been any benefit. DP is young fit and healthy but he is taking well man and coq10 to try and aid the process- and tbh to probably over compensate for the fact I am old, less fit and less healthy than he is! 👵😳

SS123456 · 27/11/2020 21:15

I had never heard of coq10 before, thank you for the recommendation! I have just ordered some 😁

Kitekat81 · 27/11/2020 21:13

@selina37 I take these ones:

www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00LFVDK1E?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share&tag=mumsnetforu03-21

@Loladoodle how many mg are you taking? I'm taking 200mg a day but thinking of increasing to 400mg

selina37 · 27/11/2020 20:55

@Loladoodle and @Kitekat81 what ones do you take?

selina37 · 27/11/2020 20:55

@Loladoodle ohh that's interesting maybe I should start then 🤔
I had a crazy patch of poas loads but I prefer to tell myself there's still a possibility until AF arrives, I find the whole negative thing a let down 😫

Loladoodle · 27/11/2020 20:39

Re the coq10 I couldn’t be sure as my ex h had major sperm issues but prior to me taking q10 there was no hint of a pregnancy for 2 years... once I started it the 3rd year of ttc I fell twice mc once and 4 months later got pg with my beautiful ds who is a very happy little 5 yr old now 🥰

Loladoodle · 27/11/2020 20:36

@selina37 I take coq10 but have only started a month ago. I’m 38 not far off 39 so feel it may help! And yes we are total cycle twins... although I hope you are a tad less crazy than me in the 2ww 🤪

Kitekat81 · 27/11/2020 16:50

@selina37 yes I take CoQ10 (ubiquinol), it's supposed to be good for egg quality if you are 35+. I can't tell you if it makes any difference though as I've been taking it for 5 months and I'm not pregnant yet 😄

selina37 · 27/11/2020 16:01

Does everyone here take Q10? I don't! I just take vit D (with calcium), B complex and folic acid!

selina37 · 27/11/2020 15:57

@MgW1 I love that you are celebrating finishing DTD 🤣 I know the feeling! I end up just rolling over and letting it happen by the end 🤭🤣

@Loladoodle we are exactly the same it seems, my luteal phase is a total mishmash of symptoms!

whatever1980 · 27/11/2020 13:36

I'm the same @Kitekat81 - that booked is well thumbed in my house. I've stayed taking vitamin d too on its own as well as conception multivitamin but I've heard E is good and also B2.

I was taking Q10, DHA, super lipoid as well as other stuff for months but it all costs a lot and I use the CBFM and CB digital sticks which are expensive but yep you're right it's cheaper than ivf and time isn't on my side

Kitekat81 · 27/11/2020 12:15

@whatever1980 I've been taking 200mg for 5 months as that's what it says in the "It starts with the egg" Basic plan. I'm thinking after 8 months TTC it might be time to move up to the Intermediate plan which is 400mg ubiquinol plus extra vitamins C and E. It all adds up to a lot of money but I just tell myself that it's a lot cheaper than IVF!

whatever1980 · 27/11/2020 11:33

Hi @Kitekat81 I was at 200 until this month when upped to 400. I'm getting on okay - I think I read you're meant to split them but I take all at once like you'd as I'd forget too.

3 years ago when I last got pregnant after a mmc I took 400 and I'm old now and can't remember why I only took 200 this time probably cost! They are expensive plus opks etc but I'm I've been trying July and no joy at all so may as well up it as my eggs are older now too

How long have you been taking them for?

Overlyanxious · 27/11/2020 11:15

Happy Friday everyone. I hadn’t thought about the fact you may need to take supplements at the same time everyday. I take them when I get round to it.

I’ve just started the TWW. I’m trying to be a bit more chilled then other months - but I’m not sure how well that will go.

Kitekat81 · 27/11/2020 10:14

@whatever1980 how are you getting on with 400mg of ubiquinol? Any side effects? I've been taking 200mg for about 5 months but wondering whether it's time to up the dose. It's so expensive though 😣 Do you take all your supplements at the same time, or spread them out over the day? I take mine all at the same time otherwise I think I would forget, but it's a bit of a strange thought that they are all rattling around in my stomach at the same time!
