Ahh @Overlyanxious hopefully that's not the case. You know Google it can take you down a dark alley and best to wait to speak to doctor but I google everything and wish I didn't. When is you next appointment?

I just got back from my Gynae appointment. I live in Germany so things are a bit different over here, and much more efficient. Had a smear test and internal ultrasound, everything looks as it should but due to my age hes gonna put me on hormone therapy. Need to go get bloods done on the 3rd day of my cycle (which will be in January cos next month that day is on Xmas eve) but planning to relax over Xmas, enjoy the alcohol and food, not worry about ovulation dates etc and then in January the real stuff starts.

Anyone had any experience with this? Any side effects or anything I should be aware of?

Welcome @Tillybabs. I will be 39 in feb and also trying for my first. We’re on cycle 7 so planning to call and speak to the dr next week to see about more tests. Hoping it’s just a matter of time!

@whatever1980 I had hoped nothing was wrong - but having heavy and painful periods I thought perhaps I could have endometriosis - which looks to be similar. I have never heard of it, but google makes it seem like conception can be more difficult and then you are more likely to miscarry. So I feel pretty rubbish right now

I had to google what it is - did you suspect this and is it easy to treat?

I just got my ultrasound result and I have adenomyosis - doesn’t look great for fertility, but can’t speak to the dr until Tuesday

I didn't take the EPO last night and have today gone from low fertility to peak (love my CBFM - dead clear - hope it's right) wonder if it's the soy.

Just need to check Ava and the CB digital and the easy@home now...

Hello ladies ! I’ve just discovered this thread and thought I would join.

I’m 39 years old (40 next month). I’m trying for my first but it won’t be my partners first. I was on the pill for years although I was pregnant about 8 years ago and then after I mc I went back one pill.

I came off the pill in august and had a withdrawal bleed shortly after and I’ve had two cycles since. My cycles are every 28 days it seems and I’ve been using OPKs since last month. I managed to find my peak last month which I found really exciting lol.

I’m pretty sure AF is coming. If so this will be my third cycle.

Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and I hope to get to know you all more.

I hope I haven’t left it too late but whatever will be will be x

My husband wouldnt make it either , i have outdone him now on the stamina front! 10 years ago it was opposite way round 🙈. Next month im just doing it 2 consecutive days when i get ewcm - ans thats our december effort! Its literally over xmas week... if Af shows up! X

I had also scheduled DTD for next 4/5 days in a row (how romantic) based on previous cycles and now it's clear I'm not ovulating at moment but also I don't want to take the chance I am and miss my window (though I'm definitely not ovulating) but not feasible to keep DTD everyday until I see a peak of it happens! DH won't make it!

@MgW1 not tried Agnus castus have you? What's it for? Before EPO I was all up for taking any supplement but now I think I may need to play it safe due to my age.

I tried pregnacare and was getting really bad headaches and I thought it was down to stress at work and was taking paracetamol everyday I didn't link it to the tablets but then looked them up on here and saw it was a side effect

Your absolutely right , better late than never....its a positive move in the right direction. Well i have been preg 3 times and its happened either 2nd or 3rd month of trying. 2nd month of trying with the latest that ended in miscarriage. We were only casually trying. Not used opks until now! Il see how I get on and try to think positively that things are getting there post mc.
Oh i know about shop open and shop closed! Opening hours will be reduced over xmas week as the shop keeper wants a few gins!!!! 🤣 xxx

@MgW1 you don't know for sure that the EPO made any difference, maybe a later ovulation this month is just your body still resetting itself after your mc? And a later ovulation is definitely better than no ovulation 😊 Did you manage to dtd much around last wed if you think that's when you think you ovulated? If you ovulated late then your af should be later as well (although nothing is predictable if your body is still resetting itself). How long is your luteal phase usually? Lol I haven't dared use the word mucus with my oh 🤣 he has very little interest in the science and tends to glaze over when I talk about hormones etc - he's only really interested in when my fertile window is (=lots of sex), when my period is due (=shop is closed 😂) and when he needs to be careful because I'm in a very sensitive mood or my boobs are sore 😄

Im feeling a bit down and sorry for myself! Last 2 months i definately didnt ovulate , its not out the ordinary following a late 1st trimester miscarriage. Anyway this month i feel i have scuppered my chances taking epo 😔 Af due saturday and I think I ovulated last weds .... got terrible cramps today! A gin and tonic is helping at the mo but will probably be balling later!!! The prospect of having another mechanical sex month 🙈 i just cant face it! Told my hubby we will just do it twice when i get ewcm - he has banned me from using the word mucus .... says its not v.sexy 🤣 xxx

I took epo and grapefruit juice for ewcm and I ovulated earlier this month by two days. Strange how things effect everyone so differently!
