Thanks @Loladoodle I keep trying to tell myself that there's something wrong with the opks, but also haven't had a temp rise or seen any ewcm this month 😕 You're right though, should keep dtd just in case 🙂

Loladoodle · 30/12/2020 13:41

@Kitekat81i wouldn’t worry too much just keep dtd! I know some people who never get pos opks but have had children it’s all a bit of a mystery

Kitekat81 · 30/12/2020 11:31

@Loladoodle thanks, yeh it's been a lovely relaxing Christmas. Unfortunately ttc hasn't been going so well. We've dtd a lot but I'm now on cycle day 17 and still not showing any signs that I'm going to ovulate. Really worried now that I'm going to have another anovulatory cycle (last one was in August). Pretty gutted to lose a chance to ttc this month, and worried about what it means for my fertility in general 😔

Loladoodle · 30/12/2020 11:18

@selina37 9dpo here and prodding my boobs waiting for the usual pre af soreness!!! On and off crampiness also 😩 I’ve also had too much food, scared to try and get anything on that has a zip! 😅 running bottoms have been my friend (without the running) over Christmas while I’ve over indulged 🐷 hate this part of the 2ww it’s excruciating! 🙏 af stays away for us both 🙏

selina37 · 30/12/2020 08:48

@Loladoodle I think I'm 10dpo? 🤔 I haven't picked up the OPKs again but I regularly get the kind of stretching back pain on day 11 now, so I guess I ovulate on day 12...? Spotting and cramping though 🙄 so I figure I'm out yet again 🙄 Due on on Monday, so that will make the day to go back to work even better! 😒
I too have had a few too many drinkies and definitely way, way too much food! 😱

Loladoodle · 29/12/2020 21:26

@M4v3r1ck so sorry to hear that! I hope you are resting up with lots of tlc! Your attitude is very admirable ❤️

@Kitekat81good work on the dinner 👏 sounds like you are having a lovely time. Hopefully lots of dtd in there too on the lead up to ov!

@selina37 how you doing twinny? What dpo are you? 8dpo here.... the relaxed approach did not last 🤣 fa la la la la la la la la! Although I’ve been a tad (VERY) excessive on the festive drinkies 😬🥂😮

Kitekat81 · 28/12/2020 13:24

Hello ladies, glad to hear you've had a good Christmas! @M4v3r1ck oh no I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope you are feeling a bit better now and that it passes as quickly as possible for you 💐 I've had a lovely relaxing few days, cooked my first ever Christmas dinner in 39 years and it wasn't a disaster 🙌 and been spending lots of quality time with my oh, going for walks, playing board games, watching movies etc 😊 I was due to ovulate between Boxing Day and tomorrow (usually cycle day 13-16), still haven't had a positive OPK yet but trying not to worry, hopefully it's just a little bit late but still on its way 🤞

M4v3r1ck · 28/12/2020 10:23

@selina37 thank you, yes, just trying to focus on the positives here! 😘 Definitely don't count yourself out until AF here! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you!

I'm convinced I'm no longer human and am now 50% chocolate/50% pig in blanket! 🤣 Forcing myself to go for a walk - definitely only leggings for me! 😂

selina37 · 28/12/2020 08:35

@M4v3r1ck sounds like you've had a tough time, but you sound so positive, that's good 😊

I too have massively pigged out! Cake, cream, truffles, gin... I'm genuinely worried about having to wear anything but leggings! 🙈

In the latter part of the TWW here. Usually spotting which I think is down to cervical erosion. Trying to tell myself I shouldn't count myself as out until actual AF.

How's everyone else doing?

M4v3r1ck · 27/12/2020 17:33

Hey ladies, hope you all had a lovely Christmas Day! Unfortunately, it was rather shite for me! I ended up in A&E at midnight with excessive pain and bleeding! Got home yesterday at noon after a stint in Gynae - it was essentially a natural miscarriage with a vengeance, and it needed a little help (like a coil removal) to complete! Even though I knew it was coming, it was still a shock. However, it's hopefully the best outcome for me. Going for a scan in a few days to confirm everything is gone! Then 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 my cycle can get back to normal soon and I'll be TTC again!

@Loladoodle I'm with you! Asides from the above, I've been the same! I've eaten a Cadbury's factory worth of chocolate!!!

@Scotti84 when I spoke with the midwife, she was very lenient on the caffeine! I went from four cups of tea down to two (with the other two as decaf), and she said that was more than fine! As long as you're not constantly drinking strong coffees and fizzy juice, you can enjoy that morning coffee and some chocolate! I found the nhs guidelines a useful guide! 😃

Loladoodle · 27/12/2020 12:21

Congratulations @Scotti84 great news!

Hope everyone has enjoyed Christmas and are making the most of the remainder of the festive break. I've been eating and drinking 🐷 relaxing and having a lovely time!

Scotti84 · 25/12/2020 10:32

Thanks guys, yep my first. Maybe it is true that when you stop worrying and counting every little sign it works? I didn’t read into anything this month, thinking I’d be starting hormones in the new year.
Now I just have to work out how I’m gonna cut caffeine! Didn’t realize it’s in chocolate too 😫

MgW1 · 24/12/2020 16:41

@Scotti84
Congratulations!!! Is this your 1st? 😊xxx

selina37 · 24/12/2020 16:00

Hi @Scotti84 🙋🏼‍♀️ yay congratulations! 🎉

Overlyanxious · 24/12/2020 12:10

Congratulations @Scotti84

@MgW1 I’m ok - I have my gynae appointment at the beginning of January which will be good. I’m trying not to think about it all so much though and stop assuming it will all happen.

Kitekat81 · 24/12/2020 11:57

@Scotti84 that's wonderful news! Congratulations!!xx

MgW1 · 24/12/2020 11:29

@Overlyanxious
How are you doing? X

Scotti84 · 24/12/2020 11:29

Yep, I’m 36 and been trying since april. I know it’s early days so trying not to get carried away but I’m so happy and so scared at the same time! It’s going to take a while to sink in I think

MgW1 · 24/12/2020 11:28

@M4v3r1ck
I know what you meant 🤣 I will do, been in quite good spirits this week suprisingly as I have been occupied with xmas stuff! Its good to have another focus xxx

Tillybabs · 24/12/2020 11:04

@Scotti84 that’s amazing news! Congratulations 🎉

M4v3r1ck · 24/12/2020 10:55

@MgW1 omg I wrote extra TTC instead of TLC!!! 🙈🙈🙈 Too many acronyms here!!!

M4v3r1ck · 24/12/2020 10:53

@Scotti84 yaaaaayyyyy awesome news!!! Is this your first pregnancy?!?! 😍😍😍😍😍😍

M4v3r1ck · 24/12/2020 10:52

@MgW1 gosh that's awful, I'm so sorry! 😔 It's just frustrating that the body doesn't realise for so long! Please make sure you give yourself extra TTC! 😘😘😘

@Kitekat81 thank you! I really appreciate you saying that! 😍 Christmas is super tough and I can totally relate to those "will I ever be a mum" feelings. The whole TTC process is emotionally draining, same with when you're pregnant - there's always worry and concern of some kind. Sadly, the worry sometimes comes true, but as you rightfully say, things can change so quickly. I think it's important to acknowledge the harder and tougher days of the TTC process, but I know in the end it will all be worth it! And I expect plenty of healthy and sticky BFPs for all of us girls in 2021! 😍🤞🏻

@Tillybabs sadly yes, I didn't realise just how common MC was - so in an awful way I'm reassured it's not just me! Damn school for making you think you get pregnant as soon as you have sex, and automatically thinking it leads to a baby! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Hurrah to finding your peak! Good luck DTD!! 😈

@Overlyanxious welcome back and hope you're doing ok! 😘

Happy Christmas Eve, ladies!!! 😍😍😍 It's a glorious day here, so going to go for a walk then it will be PJs and binge eating for me! 😃

Scotti84 · 24/12/2020 10:50

Hi, so i was new here worried about my age and that, went to a dr a few weeks ago who told me everything was ok but we would start on hormones in the new year. Thought I’d take a break from everything over Xmas and relax a bit... AF was late and very light for me... took a test this morning BFP! I’m in absolute shock! Over the moon but kinda resided myself to the fact it would take a lot of work and help before it would happen! Now I have to find the excuse to tell the in laws why I’m not drinking 😁

Overlyanxious · 24/12/2020 10:36

Hi everyone - I’ve been taking a bit of a break from mumsnet. I’m sorry to hear some of you are having a horrible time. Fingers crossed we all have a better 2021 x
