@Emc16x got bloods booked in again for day 21s. Husband is referring privately for male fertility testing, although I've been nagging him daily for a week and he still hasn't booked in.
I'm in a foul mood as close family friends have had their baby. Which im obviously happy about for them, but at the same time I'm royally pissed off as it's just that massive kick in the teeth that there is likely something wrong with us.
Go between feeling guilty that I feel bad, then happy, then bitter and angry again.
Here's hoping you do get a BFP and that you don't need to join the November bus!

SarahMumof1DS · 27/10/2020 12:51

Thank you @Sunflowers81 that's really kind. Will try let you all know if we get some better news or a diagnosis. Yeah, just got to make the best of it. I'm trying not to think of it as not being able to ttc, but just a temporary break and time to get ourselves in a better place. Looking at it that way is helping me not to dwell on the stuff that's out of our control at the moment. Hopefully things will start looking up soon and DS will go back to his normal self eventually.
How are you getting on? x

Thank you! I have heard good things about them so i will give them a go

Sunflowers81 · 27/10/2020 10:10

@SarahMumof1DS Your new plan sounds like such a good idea for you both. I can imagine it must be hard for you. Thinking of you. I hope you and DH get some good news.

Congratulations @jessicalouise10! Praying for a sticky bean for you!

@Ttcbm8687 I'm 39 TTC baby no. 1! I've had two miscarriages in my past, from accidental pregnancies. This month is our second month TTC. I'm taking pregnacare conception. I've heard that seven seas has messed with people's cycles on here.

@BuildingThings that's such good advice.

Fingers crossed for you @Emc16x!

I'm sorry @Theawkwardblonde, that really sucks.

Emc16x · 27/10/2020 09:38

@Theawkwardblonde yes! I said if you ever needed to meet up and talk I’m here you. Sorry AF came. I’m just waiting for mine! I know she’s coming! I really want to get a BFP before the fertility clinic in January. Have you had more blood tests? X

SarahMumof1DS · 27/10/2020 09:07

@ACNass I'm sorry AF came. I'm glad it has given you some hope for November though with ov.
I definitely recommend a thermometer with 2 decimal places. I got mine with my natural cycles subscription but I would imagine any brand with 2 decimal places is good. Look for one that's for measuring bbt. Mine is an oral one. You'll get better charts with a more accurate reading and less fluctuations. Hope this helps x

@Emc16x hello! I'm good thanks. Was it yourself that said you live in the north east? I recalled you had tagged me but couldn't find the post to read it.
I'm doing okay. Devastated AF arrived this month so I'm on to cycle 14 TTC 😞
How are things with you?

Emc16x · 27/10/2020 08:59

@Theawkwardblonde hope you’re doing okay haven’t seen you pop up in a while! Xx

Emc16x · 27/10/2020 08:57

@SarahMumof1DS I’m still here. Holding out hope! Lots of AF signs but she hasn’t arrived yet. I’m hoping to test at the end of the week again if she’s not here. My last cycle lasted 36 days, the one before that 17 days, so I’m all over the place. I might even wait until I’m Cd36 to match last month. Currently CD27. How are you doing?? Xxx

SarahMumof1DS · 27/10/2020 08:45

@BuildingThings well you never know you can still get your BFP!
You might not have to move to November bus! Fx for you. x

I really don't know how long the break will be this will technically be our 2nd month of not ttc but it's down to how my DH health goes. When he's ready to think about ttc again. I guess that could take months. x

OP posts:
SarahMumof1DS · 27/10/2020 08:34

Thanks @MamaPheebz, it's not a great situation but I'm trying to stay positive and see the good that might come out of it. It could have been so much worse, my DH could have had paralysis or major brain damage. Got to keep faith that things will get better and we'll get our #2 when it's time 😊.

Yes I'm keeping my fx that this is your month. If you do decide to take a break and you still want to stay on the forum during it, we could compare notes. Hoping you will be taking a 9 month break instead! x

Not really but i know when i do ovulate due to my cervical mucus, i have decided to track it going forward though so hopefully thats helps. Im also wanting to try some supplements but there are so many out there. I used 7 seas trying for a baby but i think it messed with my cycle and my period came early one month then late the next!

SarahMumof1DS · 27/10/2020 08:25

Good luck to those of you who are still in the TWW. Let us know how you get on. And let's hope you all roll into November because AF never came and you got a BFP!!! 😁 Or for those due in November, we'll jump onto the November bus. Fx for you all! I will be living vicariously through you all haha. xx

This is our first month trying.

I wouldn't worry about it yet Flowers You've only been trying for two months, so it is early days still. The NHS statistics say that 82% of women aged 35-39 will conceive within a year of trying. I understand that you're anxious about it, the sex education in school has brainwashed us all to think we will all get pregnant immediately if we have unprotected sex, but in reality it is a lot more complicated than that as we have a very tight window every month in which this can happen.

Do you track your ovulation? x

Kg87 · 27/10/2020 07:51

@SarahMumof1DS I’m still on! 1DPO today so will be joining November bus too 🤗

Ttcbm8687 · 27/10/2020 07:35

Hey, may i ask how long have you been trying? Im going to be 35 soon and im dreading it! My partner and i have been trying for two months now and im so worried that 35 will come and its still not happened

BuildingThings · 27/10/2020 07:08

Hello! @Ttcbm8687 i'm 32 ttc our number 1!

Ttcbm8687 · 27/10/2020 07:05

Anyone here mid 30s ttc baby number 1?

BuildingThings · 27/10/2020 07:03

@SarahMumof1DS I'm still here! AF due on the 31st 🎃 but my cervix is low and hard, having all the PMS symptoms, so I'm pretty sure it's a no this month. Still, I don't want to move onto the November bus until CD1 out of principle!

How long do you think your break from trying is likely to be? x

MamaPheebz · 26/10/2020 23:35

@SarahMumof1DS

You are having such a rough time hopefully a break from ttc will help. It must be so gard for you all and I really hope the scans give you some answers.

I’ve not moved onto the November bus yet. Holding out hope that October had been my month. I think we will be taking a break next cycle so will probably do ovulation tests to see what my cycles look like.

SarahMumof1DS · 26/10/2020 22:15

WHO IS STILL ON THE OCTOBER BUS??

With only 5 days left in October, I was just wondering who we have left on this thread?? 😊🎃

@jessicalouise10
Could have been a bit of implantation bleeding. There has been a conception and an implantation and now you hcg levels are on the up. I cant say i have had a good experience with epu recently because recently went through a miscarriage and my husband was not allowed to accompany me to Epu. So of you wish for your partner to go with you then book privately its about £40 ish for early reassurance scan depending where you live xx

SarahMumof1DS · 26/10/2020 22:09

@jessicalouise10 it's good you got the reassurance you needed. Keep as positive as you can. I hope you have a sticky one. Yeah totally another TWW situation. Try to stay sane. We're here if you need some sanity. 🤪 x

SarahMumof1DS · 26/10/2020 22:05

@MgW1. I'm sorry you had to go on your own to the scan esp with what what happened. It must affect our men too although I think they show it in a different way to us. It's good your DH has been so supportive it's really what you need when you have situations like that happen. 🥰

Yeah it's a bit of a unique situation in our household atm. Definitely our 2 year old is enough to deal with along with my DH's current health issues. It's a good thing for us both to have some time out. xx

SarahMumof1DS · 26/10/2020 21:29

Hi @MamaPheebz, no he hasn't said anything but he's really not in a good place (panic attacks, depression, mood changes) so it goes without saying really. However I did have a little chat with him today and said that it might be better to use condoms until he feels ok to not use them. He agreed so it's definitely the right thing to do. I just said to him to let me know when he's ready to not use them and he said ok. It's really not the right time to be falling pregnant he wouldn't cope well and we have enough on our plate. Good news is he has now got some scans booked in at the hospital so potentially he could get a diagnosis over the next month. If he doesn't get any diagnosis after that I don't know what will happen. Will have to cross that bridge when we get to it.

Until then I'm just going to try to use this time to collect data and actually see what my cycles are like without ttc! Hopefully get my stress levels down and be in a better place for hopefully future ttc. I'll keep in touch on the forum and feedback any helpful stuff I find from my non ttc cycles for you girls. Want to see you all get your BFP's in the meantime! x
