TTC October 2020 Bus

Morning ladies,
Its my first month ttc and have come off the pill, I've decided to do OPKs everyday as I have no idea what my cycle will be like. Whenever I see OPK results online the test line is faint to indicate a negative but im not getting a test line at all is that normal for a negative result?

Hi all new on here. I have been trying since January and had three early miscarriages. Af today and I feel really down and upset. I'm really short with everyone. Needed to vent. I really felt this month was the one. 😥

@dansy have you tried using a BBT chart? Aswell as OPKS this clearly shows if you've ovulated

@Hannahusky I'm so sorry to read this, my heart just sank ❤ i can't begin to imagine what you've been through. I use conceive plus, not had any success yet. I prefer it to preseed though, that absolutely stinks lol.

Also another question and apologies in advance if I seem silly I'm just so new to this! - is it possible to have periods but not ovulate? I've done a few ovulation tests but the second line is never the same / darker than the control line, despite being taken on ovulation days.

Or could it be perhaps because I had drunk water recently?

How do I know if I even have any eggs 🤦‍♀️

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Hi everyone! First time ever on Mumsnet thanks to these amazing forums with such lovely, helpful ladies!

I've had PCOS for years now but wasn't worried about it until I started thinking about conceiving. That said, it was always at the back of my mind and something I was aware of.

Frustratingly enough, my husband went for a sperm test and although he had a very high sperm count and mobility, the results indicated high antisperm antibodies.

Has anyone's partners had this?? Just another thing to worry about 🤦‍♀️

Hes been an absolute wreck and has actually taken days off work because he's so worried. I think it's also because men don't speak so openly about these kind of things like we thankfully do!

Could it be your body taking a little while to get back to normal after the mini pull? I have been using OPKs since August and only this month did I get a positive. Your surge can be easily missed. I like natural cycles as if you set it to trying for a pregnancy mode, it advises you when to take LH tests based on where you are in your cycle. Stay positive even though it can be tough. You will get there.

Hi everyone! TTC baby #1. Having a hard time staying positive. I came off the mini pill august 26th and had a withdrawal bleed September 22nd. I've been using OPKs since then and no positives. I'm getting so impatient with my body and don't understand why I'm not ovulating yet, it's CD19 today

Hey everyone! My beautiful son was born sleeping at 32 weeks in June due to Pataus. He was my first and I'm trying to conceive again now! Anyone any experience with conceive plus? I've got the vitamins and the lubricant and I'm using natural cycles. I feel like an absolute fertility psycho atm lol I'm obsessed

@Kaybobx ahh that’s good they explained, my doctor aggressively moved the wand side to side to show me each ovary and whipped it out of me seconds later 😂 Hopefully my next appointment will shed some light and won’t have to rely on google haha!

Hi everyone, cycle 2 TTC #2 for me and DH but wasn't 'really' trying very hard last month...! I reckon I'm about 4 days before AF is due and DESPERATE to test but not sure I can face the potential BFN... keep telling myself that I felt nothing much different when expecting DD at this point last time so maybe I'll be lucky?!

@kg87 thats so odd, my sonographer told me everything she was seeing on the screen. At my next scan she checked the growth, they hadn't changed much so arranged a scan in another 3 days where they had got to size. Oh i didn't know about the lots of immature follicles and PCOS. Not very good she didn't elaborate on it though and let you in limbo! I hope you get the answers soon 🙏

it was very weird! They only had 3 patients in the waiting area so I’m assuming that must be busy for them! I sat down in her office after the exam assuming we’d discuss the results but I got the impression she didn’t want me to sit 🙈 she just said we’ll do some blood tests and then check again next Thursday so I think there isn’t much else to do with cycle monitoring - she will just assess how many are there next week, I assume if they don’t change in size or there is still approx 20 she might say I've got PCOS, after a bit of online research (as I wasn’t told anything when I was there 😂) it seems that if you have lots of immature follicles it likely suggests PCOS, I will have to wait and see on Thursday at my second scan!

@kg87 she probably meant in total. I had a scan back in March and had 9 on my right and 6 in my left. Thats terrible she didn't discuss with you, are you getting a follow up report or anything?

I went for my first cycle monitoring scan yesterday and the doctor said she could see around 20 follicles when she would usually expect 4-6 and that I am potentially bordering on PCOS, anyone have a similar result before? Not sure if she meant 20 per ovary though as we didn’t have time to discuss, she was in quite a rush to get to the next patient 😐

@jessicalouise10 I haven’t tracked ovulation yet as just going to see how things go the first few cycles but if I did ovulate as my apps predict I’ll be 2dpo, I think it’s going to be a long 2 weeks 🙈 x
