@gracie2307 AF arrived last night Sad I wouldn’t mind so much if I wasn’t a week late for the first time ever, had pretty much convinced myself I must be pregnant despite the BFNs.

I guess the silver lining is that I have renewed hope I’m not one of those women that don’t test positive until weeks in, as the being in limbo was killing me, so impatient Grin

Oh well, onto the next month...! How’s things with you? X

SparkyLauz · 20/10/2020 09:19
@SparkyLauz I'm on the November bus with you! AF showed up today 3 days early, only a 25 day cycle this month so don't know what is going on with my cycles atm. Mine would be a first grandchild and great grandchild too
@Dogmum13 Aww no, sorry to hear AF has arrived for you too! We will have to start a new thread for us girls who are already on the November bus!

This was my longest cycle this month at 27 days which is why I got my hopes up so much😭

Noticed your username, I'm also a dog mummy 😊 love him to bits he's amazing. what dog have you got? xx

SunnydazeQ · 20/10/2020 09:18

@Farfaraway1 how many DPO are you? Yes it is so hard not testing and yes when I see nothing I move it all around too just for that glimmer of hope 🙈

SunnydazeQ · 20/10/2020 09:15

@gracie2307 I'm also a July baby 🎉 When I get pregnant this month (speaking positive words into the universe) my EDD would be 18th July. My husband thinks this would be perfect for us as we normally have an exotic holiday for my birthday so could be a 2 for 1 🤣 So easy to get carried away and start planning 🙈

SunnydazeQ · 20/10/2020 09:09

@Farfaraway1 @gracie2307 @BuildingThings Morning ladies! I honestly thought I could give up that one cup of coffee but withdrawal headaches were insane last night. So this morning switched to a cup of tea then will have my decaff and see how it goes. If that fails, think I'll reduce my teaspoon and a bit of coffee to half teaspoon. It's crazy how easy it was to move from 2 regular coffees to 1 and 1 decaff and didn't think it'll be this bad. Anyway fingers crossed for today 🤞

gracie2307 · 20/10/2020 09:05
@Waiting2BeaMama welcome! It is quite an exciting (but also scary!) time! x

@Lemongrass9 welcome and fingers crossed! When is your AF due?

Huge congratulations @kimberley94! 🎉

For the ladies who are trying to quit coffee, it’s easier if you taper yourself off gradually, rather than quitting cold turkey. Over time you can introduce more and more decaf to replace caffeinated coffee. This is particularly easy to do if you use a scale to make drip coffee (tip for all the Monica’s out there! Grin
Thank you for the tip @BuildingThings 👍 I will try that with my coffee and see if that helps. I need to get better with hydrating more anyway but I'm such a child and hate plain water so I tend to like it when its infused with something. Might buy one of those infuser water bottles so I can spruce up tap water xx

gracie2307 · 20/10/2020 09:02
@SarahMumof1DS thank you, still no sign of AF so going to test again in the morning!

@gracie2307 @SparkyLauz hi from another 29 year old Monica 😂 I keep telling myself I should NOT be this obsessive when it’s only our second month TTC but I can’t stand the not knowing!
Hi @redpeppersoup! Always lovely to have another Monica Grin

I totally get the early testing compulsion. How are you finding things? Xx

Lemongrass9 · 20/10/2020 08:43

Thank you @BuildingThings my Premom app says AF due tomorrow and Flo says due Thursday so sometime this week. Another BFN at 4am today - silly idea as the I didn’t get back to sleep for ages!

Waiting2BeaMama · 20/10/2020 07:56

@BuildingThings Thank you. Yes I’m excited but definitely feel like we’re stepping into the unknown! Going to enjoy this month, not put too much pressure on, and see what happens for our first cycle 🙂

Glad to join in with you all x

Kg87 · 20/10/2020 07:49

@Farfaraway1 9/10 times he’s nice about it but there are some times when he’s like ‘wtf am I looking at? Is there supposed to be something there?’ 🙈😂

@Forest27 shining your light underneath is a good one, might try that next time haha

Farfaraway1 · 20/10/2020 04:35

@kimberley94 were you testing frequently up until 13dpo and getting BFN’s up to then or was the test at 13dpo your first test? Just curious ☺️💖

Farfaraway1 · 20/10/2020 04:21

@Forest27 Re pregnancy and PMS symptoms being so similar - it’s like a cruel game isn’t it ☹️ Nearly every pregnancy symptom can be a sign of AF 😩 drives me nuts. My boobs are sore, I’ve been feeling a bit off, even my sense of smell has changed a bit but still seeing BFN’s on the test 😒

BuildingThings · 20/10/2020 00:59

Farfaraway1 · 19/10/2020 20:53

@Kg87 😂 why do we do it to ourselves.. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Sounds like you’ve got a lovely sensitive husband. My fiancé doesn’t really know how cray cray I am about the testing 😁 although I think he may have an inkling but doesn’t truely know the full extent! 🙊

gracie2307 · 19/10/2020 20:28

@SunnydazeQ Its a weird show I will give you that but very intriguing watch!

Well done on perservering with the no caffeine. I might encourage myself to do the same. The problem is I hate traditional tea (I know, I dont know how Im British!) and woud like to swap it for something. Maybe try a green or a fruit tea but any suggestions most welcome!

Good luck with your FW and hope you are having a lovely evening too! And yes, fingers crossed for November and July babies all round! 😊😊😊 I am a July baby and I personally think its the best anyway Grin xx

Forest27 · 19/10/2020 20:28

Thanks @SparkyLauz!

I also take my test to various rooms of the house and even shine my phone underneath it to try and see a line... like I did today Grin We’ve just moved into a new house and we don’t have blinds yet so I hope no one was looking at me reappearing in various windows 😂

I think AF is on her way sadly!! Pink spotting returned and I have some light cramping pains. I’ve had them for a couple of days now and usually only get them a couple of hours before she arrives so it’s all very strange!! Hmm

Fingers crossed the spotting has stopped in the morning Sad I feel sorry for my partner as he arrived home from work and I was a mess over the spotting haha why are pregnancy symptoms and PMS the same 😂🙈

gracie2307 · 19/10/2020 20:22

@Lemongrass9 I know the feeling, I am guilty of testing pretty much daily from 10dpo 🙈 luckily I bought a bag of hcg test sticks from amazon for next to nothing to satisfy my testing urges. Good luck keeping everything crossed for you 🤞😊 xxx

Kg87 · 19/10/2020 19:39

@Farfaraway1 I do this 😂 I hold it up the window and convince myself there’s a line, then my husband kindly brings me back to reality 🙈

Farfaraway1 · 19/10/2020 19:13

@SunnydazeQ well done on making some changes and trying so hard. It’s not easy I know. I’ve done the same although I’ve stopped drinking - pretty much at all - because I would have at least a small glass every night. And apart from running the 2 kids around and going to work I actually did no other exercise so now every night I take the dog for a decent walk.. hoping these small changes might help me be a bit healthier and help conception.. 💖

Farfaraway1 · 19/10/2020 18:58

@Lemongrass9 😂 that is exactly me too, walking around finding different lighting, holding it up to the light etc etc 🤪 i say I’m going to try and wait a few days before testing.. reality is I’ll be testing again in the next day or two.. just can’t stop myself either.. and in a way it kind of helps me mentally prepare that it’s another no and AF will arrive.

SunnydazeQ · 19/10/2020 18:57

@gracie2307 loved the Nun (everything in the Conjuring universe) and yes agreed Hill House was much better and scarier!! Will definitely check out The Third Day.

Day 1 of no caffeine and I am struggling but really going to try this month. I cut down to 1 coffee and 1 decaff last month and thought this was OK but after my MMC, I just want to see if this might help in any way as we're on cycle 6 now. Fertile window starts tomorrow so giving it a go until either AF or BFP LOL

Here's to BFP's in Nov and to July babies :) Hope you are having a lovely autumn evening. xx

Lemongrass9 · 19/10/2020 18:55

@Farfaraway1 I definitely do! Find myself taking it into different rooms to see it in different lighting 😂. Well done for planning to wait a few days before testing again. I find that once I let myself do one test I can’t stop.

Lemongrass9 · 19/10/2020 18:53

Thanks for your reply @gracie2307...would like to say I’ll hold off testing for a few days but I’ll probably just allow myself one early morning test a day until AF shows up.

Farfaraway1 · 19/10/2020 18:43

Does anyone else stare at a BFN for so long they convince themselves there is a shadow of a line?! ☹️ I know there isn’t and it’s just my mind playing tricks on me. Going to test in another 2-4 days..
