Am I not ovulating?

I have a fairly regular cycle, always between 26 and 28 days, and have been tracking my LH and BBT the last few cycles. I have been getting a sudden LH surge on CD11, with all the usual ovulation symptoms and EWCM, and with OPKs staying positive a few days after and BBT rising a few days after and staying up until AF. Possibly ovulating around CD12/13.

This month though, I have been getting positive OPKs since CD9, now CD15 with no obvious peak, and my BBT has ranged between 36.1-36.4C during this time. I haven't had any obvious symptoms of ovulation either.

Has anyone experienced this before, could I be not ovulating? Any advice welcome please, feeling very disheartened that this could be another month with no success ☹️

That's okay @Emmaemma23 - how is the pregnancy going? You must be so excited ☺️

I do my BBT at 6am every morning, wake up and do it straight away, so I would think mine is as accurate as it could be, but it's still a mess! I've had a temp rise the last 3 days so not sure what's going on.

I've had positive OPKs since CD9, usually get a peak CD11 but it was CD19 this month! And then had positive OPKs since, today being CD25 and my cycles usually last 26/27 days! I'm very confused what is happening with me..

Thank you! Sorry have been so busy!
I did do OPKS this month. So I had a lot of what I thought were positive OPKS, but I tested one day and got the 2 lines equally dark which is apparently what you're looking for for a positive result. I assume I ovulated the next day which seems to be fitting in with my dates so far.
Don't worry too much about temperature! Unless you're doing it religiously at exactly the same time and under the exact same conditions (apparently can be affected by sleep and taking painkillers etc) it's not accurate anyways.

Hi @Didi95, I can't say much about BBT as I haven't been doing it long and I'm not sure mine is doing what it's meant to either! When you write a response, if you click on the paperclip next to the smiley face and the T, you can add photos from there - hopefully someone else might be able to help with the BBT ☺️

How are things with you @Orlandoflorida? Also how do you PM on here to exchange numbers?

I haven't had a BBT rise yet, hoping for one tomorrow to confirm I finally ovulated 🤞🏻

Hi, does anyone have random slow rise bbts? I usually ovulate on day 14 and have a 28 day cycle so bit worried about this slow rise after ovulation? I've heard its normal but thought I'd ask before charging up the doctors. Also how do we attach our photos? That way you'll know what I'm talking about x thanks

So update - had a very strong peak OPK today finally!! And temp is at 36.2C, so hopefully I'm finally going to ovulate! I'm a little worried about how late this is but just going to go with it and see what happens 🤞🏻

How are things with you?

They do! I must say, obviously I'm sad to hear you are having problems but it's really comforting to find someone going through a similar experience - we're trying for our first so we've not told anyone, and it's become quite lonely for me.

I'm on CD18, usually my cycles are 26-28 days but who knows how long this one will be as I've had another strong positive OPK today!

I know what you mean @Orlandoflorida1, I think I'm only seeing something is wrong now I'm paying attention to my symptoms because I'm TTC! I've been tracking BBT and LH for the last 2 months but TTC for 6 - the last 2 I have had a clear LH peak and temp rise, however this month my chart is so messy and shows no clear ovulation ☹️

That's good news!! We've been DTD every other day for past week now just to be safe, probably will keep going until I get a temp rise. Was really hoping for one this morning but nothing! I've kind of given up hope for this month.

Well I’ve had a temp rise this morning so maybe I ovulated yesterday! Il have to see if it stays up! Only DTD yesterday and then 3 days before O day if it was yesterday

I haven’t been on any contraception since having my daughter (almost 2) but only actually been “trying” for a few months! But I’ve had different length cycles and unusual cycles since May last year now! I usually have a period every month but my cycles can range from 27 day’s to 30+ and my bleed isn’t always heavy. It’s only now I’m tracking it I’m concerned and putting it all together! How long have you been temping for?

Well that's not very helpful of them @Orlandoflorida1... could you try a different GP? How long have you been trying this time if you don't mind me asking?

I've randomly had EWCM last night and today, but my BBT is the same and my OPK has actually tested quite low for the first time in days, so I don't think my body knows what it's doing this month! Almost looking forward to AF so we can write this month off and hope next month things go back to normal ☹️

Well the GP told me that because I already have a child they won’t even look at anything even a blood test until we’ve been trying 2 years. She said she needed to check the guidelines but she was sure that was the case.

Oh I'm so terrible for overthinking! Yes definitely @Orlandoflorida1 - I'll let you know if I ever ovulate this month and what the GP says if I go ☺️

Usually my surges are sudden and short @Kay00 so not sure what has happened this month! Just going to keep BD'ing until I see a negative OPK and temp rise I think...

Sorry to hear that @Orlandoflorida1, it's so disheartening to think you have missed a month isn't it ☹️ I'm a bit worried this happened a few months ago too, before I started tracking LH and BBT, as I had no symptoms or EWCM. I might schedule a visit to the GP as we have been trying a few months now and I'm worried there might be something else going on.

@MF24 I’m having the same problems. Last month I started temping and am sure I ovulated as had positive OPK the a bbt rise. This month I’m now CD17 and no positive OPK and no temp rise 😔

@MF24 Some women have long LH surges (mine happens to be very short), it just means you body is building up to ovulate. Ideally you will see you OPKs become negative again and then you temperature will rise. The temperature rise will happen as a result of Ovulation, and the positive OPKs indicate an LH surge which will hopefully result in Ovulation

Did you do OPKs? Today is my 7th day of positive OPKs, in fact it's a stronger result than the last 2 days, and my temp is still low so I'm very confused!

I was convinced I didn't ovulate last month but here I am almost 8 weeks pregnant. I tried temping and never got the temperature rise at ovulation Confused
