I'm 32, I have been TTC since July, I had a chemical in August and today AF arrived and feeling really gutted.

Out of curiosity, how long did you take to take to conceive, and how old were/are you?

I'm feeling as if my age is going to be a problem here Confused

tortillachipsanddips · 29/09/2020 20:22

Started trying at 25 conceived 4,years later

Slat3 · 29/09/2020 20:18

I’ve been really really lucky to be honest.
DC1 21 - unplanned
DC2 23 - 2 months
DC3 26 - 2 months

I used cheap ovulation sticks with DC3 on the 2nd month whereas first I just went off when the app told me which wasn’t accurate

Tbug · 29/09/2020 20:14

12 months then miscarried at 10 weeks and now on cycle 5 of trying since the MMC :(

gypsywater · 29/09/2020 20:08

8 months and am currently dealing with a MMC Sad

Bl0ndi3 · 29/09/2020 20:07

8 months at 29, miscarriage

Conceived straight after the miscarriage at age 29 JUST 😂 literally conceived days before my birthday.

I think you just need to accept it may well take some time and don't put so much pressure on yourself each month, that's what will be a problem for you. If it happens quick then amazing of course xx

Posie100 · 29/09/2020 19:35

39 - got pregnant on 5th month of trying after coming off the combined pill. I used LH strips to chart ovulation.

DollyParton2 · 29/09/2020 19:28

3 months age 30 DC1
4 months age 33 DC2
Just conceived 2 month trying at 39 for DC3.

Are you using Conceive Plus or pre-seed?

Rebelwithallthecause · 29/09/2020 19:23

Started trying at 26 - fell pregnant after 4 years of trying

Started trying at 31, fell pregnant within first month of trying

Started trying at 34, fell pregnant within first month of trying

MrsSDK · 29/09/2020 19:22

First attempt age 38 using a period tracking app and ovulation sticks, I had my game face on! I know we were very lucky.

TattyMcBab · 29/09/2020 19:16

Good luck.

ThoroughlyForumed · 29/09/2020 19:15

ThoroughlyForumed · 29/09/2020 19:14

And I'm 31

ThoroughlyForumed · 29/09/2020 19:14

18 cycles and eventually IVF due to fertility issues. 6 weeks now after fresh transfer so fingers crossed it sticks 🤞
Good luck op

allfurcoatnoknickers · 29/09/2020 18:46

32 and it took about 6 weeks! It was so quick (I have PCOS) that I actually didn't even realize I was pregnant until I was 7 weeks gone.

I was one of the youngest of my friends to have a baby, so I wouldn't worry about your age.

sausagebap88 · 29/09/2020 18:20

Thank you everyone and all the love goes out to everyone who are still not there yet and I'm sorry if I sounded insensitive saying I've only been trying for 3 months, it really wasn't my intention, just curious how and when other ladies conceived. Baby dust to all of you and I hope you get everything you deserve very soon. Lots of love xxx

I'm 31 and got pregnant twice in 6 months. I was pregnant the first time after 3 months but had a miscarriage then I fell pregnant shortly after. I'm now 30 weeks. I think they say you are more fertile after a chemical/miscarriage which in our case seemed to be true 💕

sophi1207 · 29/09/2020 17:53

Also, I am 26.

sophi1207 · 29/09/2020 17:52

No contraception for 1 year but not actively trying, then TTC for 3 months before conceiving.

princessbananahammock252 · 29/09/2020 17:32

First time it took 18 months; I was 33
Second time it took 2 months; at 38

Yorkshiredolls · 29/09/2020 17:24

First try at 29, first try at 33.. I was Taken by surprise both times as very long Irregular cycles And thought we might encounter difficulties. no hormonal contraception for years prior to either. think at 32 years old, age shouldn't be a concern just yet.
