Hey guys! TTC since March! Periods have become irregular since I took Northisterone (to delay my periods) in January! So my days may be off (deffo will be off) but it's worth a try. Just stress as my partners in the army so he's away all week and I feel he will miss my most fertile days 😂 any others want to share the journey?

@purplepoppet92 I think that should be enough! I would probably do it one more time maybe Thursday just in case? I am in the same boat as you as we tend to only DTD once a week and that's usually on a weekend.

I am due to ovulate on Sunday according to apps but still not a lot happening on my OPKs either, although mine are known to go from a complete negative to a dark positive in one day and then back down again, so going to start with my CB tomorrow morning.

So hard to get a right balance with the cheap OPKS! I drink a lot of water so I think this dilutes my urine a lot.

DTD yday for fun and hubby asked me this afternoon if he has impregnated me yet. Men are oblivious! haha

Can I join? Had our first DC in early June 2020, we want our children to be close in age so are now trying for DC2! We tried for a year with no luck before taking a break last time and fell pregnant the first month when we started trying again so hoping we get lucky again and it happens soon!!! 🤞🤞🤞🤞

@OliviaGrace1x I’m in Hertfordshire Smile

OliviaGrace1x · 05/10/2020 01:58

@lilacflower12 hey! I'm also 22. Nice to meet someone as young as me!😅where abouts are you from? X

Okay so i apparently ovulate in 5 days. Still no positive OPK (obviously) but DTD last night. Will possibly DTD again Tuesday as I ovulate Thursday. Does this seem enough?
I'm battling between actively trying and not making it procedural - naturally as a couple we only DTD once a week on average

bez91 · 01/10/2020 19:28

@eloiseislost thank you that's good to know. We didn't cover all bases last cycle due to working away and fell pregnant (ended in MC) so I suppose anything is possible!

eloiseislost · 01/10/2020 19:08

@bez91 Here is a graph too!

@bez91

Based on my peak OPK yesterday, I assume ovulation is today. DTD yesterday and another couple of times in my fertile window this week. Can't today, we're in the midst of a house extension and DH has loads to do tonight before second fix plumbing tomorrow so we can move back in 🙈

Hope it'll cover as many bases as we can even though tonight is a no go 🤞🏼

I've read that you are more likely to conceive the day before ovulation than the day of! Good luck!! 🧚🏼‍♀️

@AnneZ31I have downloaded a couple of fertility apps and the premom app you can take a picture of the opk and it will log it against the date so that you can see the progression of your opks. It also analyses the colour to let you know the ratio between your control and test line.

AnneZ31 · 30/09/2020 18:07

Thanks both. I hadn’t thought of taking photos, I will do that from now on so I can compare day to day!

eloiseislost · 30/09/2020 16:29

@AnneZ31

Does anyone else have this problem. Every single opk I have done has shown a certain result after 3-5 minutes... but then developed afterwards and when I look back a few hours later, it’s much darker!

This can’t be happening to everyone else as I’ve seen people sharing their “opk line development” pictures and some show very pale lines.

I have no idea what’s going on basically. This morning I thought I was no where near ovulating but when I look at the line now it’s as if it could get my peak tomorrow. Any advice? Perhaps is the brand I’m using.

No idea what's happening with other people's strips, I tend to throw mine in the bin after I read the result. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wouldn't worry too much about it, read the result after the specified time and make a note of that. Maybe the material of the strip in combination with your urine oxidises and darkens over time? If you want to keep track of the progression, take photos. You can even stitch them together on your phone afterwards to a single image so you can see review the progression.
AKC88 · 30/09/2020 16:19

@AnneZ31 I'm not sure if this is the case for all of them but the last OPKs I used said after 20 minutes the results wouldn't be reliable...I was using One Step ones from Amazon. Hope that helps.

lilacflower12 · 30/09/2020 15:53

Hi all, can I join?

I'm also 23, I was supposed to be getting married this year but we now moved it for the 4th time to 2022 so have decided to try for a baby first. It's our first for both of us. I stopped taking my mini-pill on Saturday, bled sunday- tuesday (google says it was a withdrawal bleed?) which has now stopped so I'm hoping my body will start trying to ovulate soon :)

CookieMonster3001 · 30/09/2020 12:54

Oh okay that makes sense!! Thank you!

I know I need to get a life! Luckily OH doesn't know about dates in diary or he would defo think I have gone loopy!!

bez91 · 30/09/2020 12:32

@CookieMonster3001 the first time you use a new reader for each cycle is what I meant 😊

Dates in the diary - that is organised 😆

CookieMonster3001 · 30/09/2020 11:32

@2020letsdothis I take my temp every morning at 7am (I have an alarm to remind me). I try to make sure that I don't move or talk until the temp has been taken. I agree with @Flower3411 I would recommend an app. I am using Fertility Friend and it has been by far the most accurate so far for me.

@bez91 do you mean it is blank circle for the first time you use the test or for the first cycle? Sorry if that's a silly question! I am due to start using my CB ovulation kit for the first time this month, and not sure what to expect!

I am on my last day of AF today so will start OPK testing tomorrow! I already have the days I want to BD in my diary! I try not to be so regimented about it, but its hard not to be!!

I usually ovulate around CD 12/13, so my aim is to BD on CD7, 9, 11, 12, 13 & 14 with the hopes I will have covered all angles!

eloiseislost · 30/09/2020 07:35

@bez91

Hi *@eloiseislost* I read a few times somewhere that the first one is always a blank circle to kind of get your 'baseline' level, don't know if anyone else knows how true this is? This is my second month using them.

I got my peak this morning. Going the full 14dpo as I always do before testing so will try and hold out until 14th October x

Yes, I think I've read that too! It makes sense because instructions tell you to start testing early. To be honest, I would be slightly concerned if my fertile window started the day after my period ended! Still feel a bit yucky and low sex drive! Grin I have zero willpower and an 11-day luteal phase so my goal this month is to hold on until 10dpo to test… Baby steps!! Good luck, keep us posted! Daffodil

@purplepoppet92 @AnneZ31 Empty circle for me this morning on the CB digital! I reckon the flashing smiley will probably show up during the weekend, fingers crossed!

Diamond3253 · 29/09/2020 23:14

TTC for one month now! Regular since coming off pill two years ago!

Moving in with partner this weekend so we can finally have sex every other day! We just caught my ovulation this month so fingers crossed!

Good luck to all ladies here!!!

Flower3411 · 29/09/2020 23:12

@2020letsdothis BBT needs to me done in the morning as soon as you wake up, preferably at the same time each day! I would recommend an app to put each temp in and they will create a graph for you! Good luck starting to temp xx

2020letsdothis · 29/09/2020 22:33

Have just ordered a BB thermometer off amazon, was cheap enough at £9.99 (some were so expensive!) so going to start checking! Hopefully it works ok. Do you guys just check every day to keep an eye on it? Or is it like OPKs, so you start checking at a certain time of the month? Sometimes I really think I have no idea what I'm doing 😂 isn't it funny how you spend years trying so hard not to get pregnant, then all of a sudden it's like right ok, I want a baby right now 😂🙈

dollymoo · 29/09/2020 22:06

Can I join also. I'm 29 and we will be trying for #2 after my next period at the end of October so want to use this month to try and figure out when ovulate. My cycles are long roughly 32 days
