Ok. When you said that you put the escaped swimmers on top of the pressed , I thought you meant you mixed them together then inserted it up you.
I'm going to order some pressed now to try it out.

@ 7khrs, no. The preseed is a lubricant sold under the same name. It mimics the fertile EWCM. But since my natural ECWM was so little, I used the preseed to complement it.

You don't have to mix ECWM with anything. I scooped the escaping swimmers my DH deposited which were just inside or outside my VG and used it as I described. This probably did nothing, but I won't know

If I'm understanding, Did you mix the EWCM with preseed together then insert it up you? Then put the mooncup inside to keep it up there?

Most of the tips have been said already but here is what I did. This is my fourth cycle TTC after being on the pill for 6 years. Periods are extremely light, about 2 days max.

I have been on multi vitamins for several months. Folic acid is a must.

I use OPKs, the easy@home strips and the premom app is very useful for tracking ovulation, test twice a day. I also find the Ovia app very useful.

DTD everyday during my fertile window. I understand every other days is perfectly fine.

TMI..... I used preseed as my EWCM was very little. After DTD, I put a little preseed in the tube it came with, scooped the outside of my VG with a mooncup to collect any escaping swimmers and even picked a bit up with clean fingers - desperate, I know . I put the collection on top of the preseed in the tube and inserted it as far back as I could to deposit the contents there. After that, I inserted a moon cup and went about my business.

I tested positive yesterday and I'm not sure if any of the tips mentioned above made a difference, but it causes no harm to try.

Here are my tips ...
Dont think of it as baby making, it's still sex so enjoy it!
Dont wave a pee stick at your man and tell him you're ready 😂. Its not very sexy and can also lead to performance anxiety for some and you dont want them just feeling like a sperm donor.
DTD every 2-3days. Sperm lasts up to 5 days so this should give you the best chance and make sure you dont miss it. OH will also love it!
I also sat with a pillow under my bum for 10 minutes after but pretty sure an old wives tale.

First month I had 19 day cycle and didn't ovulate so only reason I used CB digital ovulation was to ensure I was ovulating. Just relaxed and fell pregnant straight away x

I did them in the afternoon as it normally picks them up better in the afternoon!

I found it helpful using them as I don't get a large amount of EWCM so wasn't 100% sure when I ovulated. With the cycle being between 28-35 day ranges and working 7 days a week, we don't always have time to DTD every other day at the moment 🙂

I have to agree, if you're having regular periods, don't bother with the OPK kits. Just regular sex during your fertile period.

Folic acid + healthy diet.

Don't overthink it. Enjoy the canoodling.

Use ovulation tests twice a day if using cheap strip tests but if using a CB digi then you just follow the instructions and use on the days it tells you.

I wouldn't worry about any of this at the moment if you're only just starting TTC.

When did getting pregnant become such a chore? OP says she's trying for the first time, what's wrong with ditching all the tests, and stressing and just doing it whenever you feel most in the mood???

We might be exceptionally lucky, we now have seven wonderful children, but I could always tell when my wife was most fertile, and pretty sure she knew as well.... hormones are powerful things, they've been working pretty well to maximise the chances of conception for a long time....

Download flo app it tracks your cycle it’s good. Let’s you know your ovulation window too.

Lying down afterwards makes bog all difference. The sperm get to where they need to really quickly. The sperm that aren't able to do that should be allowed to fall out with everything else anyway.

And a pp is right. You should urinate pretty soon after sex as it will flush out any bacteria introduced to the entrance of the urethra and prevent UTIs.

@Mama1993 you should always pee after sex, even if it’s not a full bladder. The urethra is very close to the vagina and bacteria get pushed up there during sex. It’s always recommended to flush them out before sleeping, as not doing so risks causing a UTI

Have sex 2-3 times a week every week. Not just in your fertile window.

I don’t think it matters as that’s usually all the proteins etc. However I usually wait and use the bathroom in the morning

Please don’t do this, you’re risking UTIs. The force of the man’s orgasm fires the sperm up where they need to be. By all means lie down for a bit if you want (as a PP said there’s little evidence this helps) but don’t go to sleep after sex without emptying your bladder.

We just dtd every day or other day from the end of the period until the next period. V lucky but pregnant first month every month
