Hi! I’m new here. I’ve read what seems like hundreds of these threads, but never posted anything myself. I’m currently 9 DPO, I’m positive about my ovulation date as I get the really sharp pain on my left side each time! Have definitely had a multitude of symptoms. I have it stuck in my head that I’m pregnant, but I have 30 + day cycles. This would be the second one for me! Would love to have a baby, but still finishing up my schooling.. so! We will see. I went crazy and bought a ton of tests, took one this morning which was a BFN. But my period is still 7 days away, so. Would love people to keep me company from my crazy brain!!

@HerringGull and @Sarah3956 thank you both and also sorry, I realised after posting that it might be insensitive to post the lines pic. It's just to note that at 9 dpo there was nothing and its jumped up really quickly so testing too quickly can make us feel sadness that isnt needed. I was also having ridiculous cycles (141 days and 47 days) with no clear ovulation so I hope that gives hope to others too ! All my wishes for you both

@TheDaydreamBelievers

Congratulations!! GrinFlowers
Nothing makes me more happy to my core, then seeing this for others! I love to watch the line progression too!!! Keep me updated!!

Hey @Sarah3956 this is now! First baby, negative at 9DPO, BFP on Monday, lines progressing nicely and crossing my fingers hard that it all goes well 🙏🤞

9 DPO

@ttc15

Sounds like a positive sign! I can’t tell by that because i feel like I always have cm, during my cycle. It only stops briefly

@TheDaydreamBelievers

Logically, I know this! I’m still 6 days out from AF! So I know that I have time. Thanks for the positivity Grin how far along are you now? Or was this a precious pregnancy

OP posts:
ttc15 · 25/09/2020 15:11

Just had some creamy cm after nothing since ovulation, I’m normally dry until AF arrives? Wondering what this could even mean! 5 days until AF

TheDaydreamBelievers · 25/09/2020 14:35

I did a test on 9DPO which was completely blank then one on 14DPO using a FRER which was obviously, undeniably positive. I think 9DPO is just too early for most. Try at expected period date @Sarah3956!

Sarah3956 · 25/09/2020 14:05

@AKC88

Speaking of what month babies are born. My LO and SO happen to share a birthday in March. So I was pregnant right now.. that falls into beginning of June for a baby. That’s around my birthday, so how coincidental would it be if that one fell on my bday too? That would be too crazy! So then likely it would have to be my girl Wink

@AKC88

I have not heard of those vitamins! I’ve been taking prenatals for a long time, because it’s still good vitamins, and good for hair and nails! I’m with you on wanting a girl. I have a boy and I think I need a little mini me, even if girls are born with a sassy attitude Confused

I’m the same with self protecting. My symptoms are kind of constant now. But I keep getting mad at myself. I promised myself last night I was done taking tests and would wait until my period, because for surely I can’t be pregnant! Took one this morning Grin

@Sarah3956 I just re-read my previous message, sooo many typo's sorry, my husband is called Si so my phone always autocorrects my so's to Si's!! Grin

I literally go between, yep definitely pregnant to definitely not pregnant by the hour lol, I think I'm self-protecting. I've been taking the Seven Seas TTC vitamins too but I read somewhere they can lengthen your cycle, so my paranoid self has stopped those again.

My other two are April and June so a July or August baby would be delightful Grin I have two boys and desperately want a girl!!

I will join you and @HerringGull in your calming breaths lol.

Sarah3956 · 25/09/2020 13:02

@HerringGull

Correct. I should drink some tea and take some calming breaths Hmm

Sounds positive @Sarah3956 ! Hang on in there, we're only 10DPO today Smile

Sarah3956 · 25/09/2020 11:34

I’m just feeling pretty crummy today. Boobs are swollen, constant aching and cramping, had bouts of light headed ness. Absolutely no energy. Lower back has hurt a lot this week. Needing to pee a lot. Very thirsty with a dry mouth. I’ve checked my cervix and it hasn’t changed from ovulation.. normally after cramping for this long, it would start to get much lower if AF was coming early or something. The past 2 days I have eaten like a wild animal too Grin
Have had headaches as well. Guess I’ll just keep waiting and over thinking. sigh

@AKC88

Yes! Your body might still be confused. But something also might be going on in there too! Wink it’s hard to not be overly positive, but not be too negative either. I think it would be fun to have a summer baby!! In the next few months, we could all have one! I was also pregnant through Christmas with my LO, and that is fun.

@HerringGull

Yes, I did test this morning. BFN, of course. I was dumb and got all blue dye tests, even though I have heard how terrible they are. There was a very apparent blue evaporation line from the one yesterday, after sitting all day. When I went to the store for the tests.. all they had was FRER digital and then blue dye. I also have one dollar store brand, which are nice and clearly read! Oh well. My boobs are very swollen today and I’m still majorly cramping

@ttc15

Sounds like a plan! You’re stronger than I am for holding out Wink

OP posts:
AKC88 · 25/09/2020 09:30

@Sarah3956 I'm pretty sure she is coming, si CE I had my coil out in July I get a really heavy dull feeling for 4/5 days before AF and I've definitely got that this morning. I've also had a 37 day cycle and a 42 day cycle since having it removed so I think my body is still confused! I'd like a summer baby though so hopefully something will happen before Xmas!

I've been symptom spotting like mad too but it's si hard when symptoms are basically the same for pregnancy and AF, although I can't keep my eyes open past about 8pm for the last week or so which I did wonder about Hmm

I don't want to test until I'm late... whether I manage that or not is another matter

HerringGull · 25/09/2020 08:59

@Sarah3956 Yeah, it's definitely DPO that counts assuming you know when you ovulated. I think your period pretty much always comes 12-16 days after ovulation, so if you have a long cycle, you probably ovulate later than day 14.
Did you test this morning then?

It’s so hard to hold off testing. Even if we know for a fact nothing good will come of it.. how silly huh. It’s just almost a ritual that needs to be done. I wouldn’t anything out yet! I’ve said before that symptoms can come and do, they don’t have to be constant! Do you think you can hold out until the date AF is due?[/quote]
I think you’re absolutely right! I’m going to have to hold out! I don’t want to waste tests and it’s only a few days now anyway

Sarah3956 · 24/09/2020 22:31

@HerringGull
I do not want to know about a possible chemical either, it would crush me. But I’m obsessive and I bought loads of expensive tests. sighs so I’m going to keep testing each morning to use those babies up Hmm

OP posts:
Sarah3956 · 24/09/2020 22:29

@HerringGull
See.. the part that confuses me about this process is people’s cycle length. I’ve notice people with a really short cycle, can get a BFP at like 8, 9 DPO. Shouldn’t it always depend on when you implanted and ovulated, not the length until the next AF? I don’t understand that! So I suppose I could definitely receive my good news in less than 7 days. Are you having any symptoms?

Sarah3956 · 24/09/2020 22:25

Glad we are in the same boat!!! Please keep us updated on things until then, and when you test as well. I think I may actually cry from joy when others post their success!
