Hi! I’m new here. I’ve read what seems like hundreds of these threads, but never posted anything myself. I’m currently 9 DPO, I’m positive about my ovulation date as I get the really sharp pain on my left side each time! Have definitely had a multitude of symptoms. I have it stuck in my head that I’m pregnant, but I have 30 + day cycles. This would be the second one for me! Would love to have a baby, but still finishing up my schooling.. so! We will see. I went crazy and bought a ton of tests, took one this morning which was a BFN. But my period is still 7 days away, so. Would love people to keep me company from my crazy brain!!

@AKC88

Hello! I’m feeling kind of icky today. Tired and cranky and slightly nauseous. 13 DPO and a BFN still this morning 🤷‍♀️ Thanks for checking in!

@HerringGull

Have only been together for 7 months now. So very short time in terms of making a baby! 😂 that’s why the plan was to wait until next year, after getting the house and being done with school. He is 11 years my senior though, so I do feel a bit of pressure to hurry up and get this family thing rolling 🤪

@AKC88 not bad thanks - planning to test on Saturday if AF not here. Still having same symptoms as pregnant cycle last time, so possibly it's a good one for me. Hope you enjoyed your prosecco! Wine Is your AF away yet?

AKC88 · 28/09/2020 15:48

Hey

@Sarah3956 and @HerringGull just catching up on how you are both getting on!

How are you both feeling today?

HerringGull · 28/09/2020 15:41

Wow that does sound stressful, poor you! I'm glad you have a supportive OH this time round though Smile How long have you been together now?

Sarah3956 · 28/09/2020 14:57

@HerringGull
My train of thought is this. I was in a downhill slide of my relationship with my sons father. It was a really bad one, and I found out I was pregnant right after I turned 20. In the same month. I left him very soon after. So I went through a pregnancy alone, which I struggled with very much. I was very young and I felt like i had ruined my life plans. I then raised the baby alone, while co- parenting with this man I could not stand. I felt like I had been through the wringer. So then, one night I happen to meet the love of my life at a bar. This was one week before my LO, turned 1. They turned out to have the same birthday. So now I have this amazing man and I’m ready to expand the family, because it turns out that little boy was the best thing that could have ever happened in my life. I so badly want another baby. I want to enjoy the pregnancy and be so full of joy, instead of stress and sadness. I just want to do it differently this time! I feel guilt around how it went the first go, but I couldn’t change the circumstances. That little boy has had no shortage of love though either ❤️❤️
Sorry for the lengthy post! 😂

@HerringGull

It’s so hard to know because when we’ve got the idea in our head, we are going to notice every tiny symptom and relate it to pregnancy. I guess that just comes with this territory 🤷‍♀️ I really hope it happens for you this month as well! This will be your first and I will be elated for you ❤️

HerringGull · 28/09/2020 14:05

@Sarah3956 Oooh well still sounds possible then! I remember bacon making me want to chuck pretty early last time. I love bacon!
I've had all the same symptoms this TWW that I had when I conceived last time, so it's totally possible I'm preg, but I just don't know how much I just notice symptoms more than usual because I'm looking for them, if you know what I mean? Such a weird time! I really hope it happens for you this month Smile

Sarah3956 · 28/09/2020 13:59

@HerringGull

Oh! And cooking food and perfumes are really bothering me all of a sudden. I can smell a lot more. When I was pregnant with LO, colognes and perfume were horrible to me 🤔

@HerringGull

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. I completely understand the need to wait, to protect yourself. We are ready emotionally as well but he really wants a house first! That’s been his plan 😂 they say If you wait until the perfect time to have a child, financially stable etc. you’ll be waiting forever!
AF is due in 3 days. So 16 DPO. I’ve had very irregular cycles in the past, so who knows 🤷‍♀️ I’m just basing this off of it being regular the past few months. I’m feeling really odd still though. Cramping everyday, achy lower back too. Boobs hurt so badly, swollen also. Having headaches everyday and light headed. Starving and random cravings. Peeing a lot, also very thirsty. Been very emotional the past few days and cried multiple times! My cervix is still high and closed too, which is odd right before AF

HerringGull · 28/09/2020 12:55

@Sarah3956 Not sure about stronger! I've had a loss already and I don't want the upset of another. Sensible maybe, but definitely not stronger!
Me and DH are very ready emotionally, but 'life plan wise' it's not all there yet for us either. House etc I mean! We're okay, but we're not waiting until everything is perfect. Figure we have nine months to get on with things if it happens for us sooner rather than later! When are you expecting AF?
@ttc15 @DollyParton2 How are you both getting on?

Sarah3956 · 28/09/2020 12:51

@HerringGull

Technically there was a whoopsie around ovulation. We should be buying our house before we actively start trying! Either way, I’d be overjoyed ❤️

You are smart to wait that long. That takes a much stronger woman than I. Please keep me updated Smile

@Sarah3956 aww, don't feel silly! It's so tempting isn't it! I hope you still get one this month, but if you don't, don't worry too much. This is your first month TTC right?
I still haven't tested. I only want a BFP if I'm 'reasonably' past the chemical pregnancy window, so will test on Saturday I think at 18DPO :)

Sarah3956 · 28/09/2020 11:31

@HerringGull
How are you doing? 13 DPO and still a BFN this morning. I don’t believe I will be getting a positive this week any longer. I wasted a lot of money on those tests and I feel silly 🙃

HerringGull · 26/09/2020 21:21

Sorry to hear that @AKC88 Hope you're enjoying your prosecco 😜
@Sarah3956 still too early to be sure... hang in there hun!

Sarah3956 · 26/09/2020 21:17

@AKC88

I’m sorry to hear that! I hope good things happen for you next month ❤️ Wine is delicious though, it can sure help. Yeah I have a billion tests now so I can definitely keep testing daily Wink

OP posts:
AKC88 · 26/09/2020 21:08

@Sarah3956 as I thought AF arrived for me this evening, although I'm only 12 DPO! I'm having a prosecco as a consolation prize ha!

Hmm, give yourself a few days and test again! There's still time!!

Sarah3956 · 26/09/2020 20:46

11 DPO today. Took a blue dye test this morning.. got a faint positive line. I know it’s not an evap, because it showed up in a few minutes. But I also hate those stupid tests. So then I felt the urge to buy some real FR kind, held my pee for 4 hours. That was clearly negative. I’m in bed now as I have a splitting headache. How is everyone else?

OP posts:
Sarah3956 · 25/09/2020 22:50

@ttc15

Don’t be so hard on yourself dear! Each person and pregnancy is different. Some people don’t get a positive until the exact day AF is due, or even days later.

OP posts:
HerringGull · 25/09/2020 21:26

Aw don't worry @ttc15 - you're still a few days til AF right?

ttc15 · 25/09/2020 20:51

Couldn’t hold off, especially with CM changes and cervix feeling closed. BFN to absolutely no surprise on FR test. Going to go to the shop first thing tomorrow for CB one and try again

Sarah3956 · 25/09/2020 17:46

@DollyParton2

Welcome! I was pretty achy and crampy with my first pregnancy though. It’s very common in early pregnancy, as well as PMS symptom. So hard to tell!

OP posts:
HerringGull · 25/09/2020 17:45

@TheDaydreamBelievers not at all! Hopefully we will both have the same news, if not this month then soon 😊 Very happy for you x

DollyParton2 · 25/09/2020 17:42

Sarah I’m also 9 days post O & desperately checking too!! Have a feeling it’s a no for me as had some dull aches past few days (but funnily not as much as usual pre AF cramps & not as moody either!) so will wait & see.

Sarah3956 · 25/09/2020 17:26

@TheDaydreamBelievers

No, no. Not insensitive at all! This is a platform for support, which is good and bad. We should celebrate our successes. And this is a big one ❤️
