Ladylush - sorry you're feeling down too. And there are drawbacks to summer babies you know, anyway - you could be heavily pregnant and lumbering about sweating and puffing when it's hot, you might find those early days of motherhood chaotic and end up indoors a lot in your pjs most of the day, and miss the rest of the summer. So, if it doesn't happen straight away, it's not all bad. I thought April was a fab time to have a baby, but there you go.

Saw a pic of Kerry Katona in some magazine, smoking. I know people find smoking hard to give up, but it makes me angry when I see pg people smoking. Especially so when i'm not pg, cos I think I deserve to be more than them, if that's not a horrible thing to say????

Not sure if I won't follow Kate and Rosy. Finding it a bit sad hearing all these bfps (although v glad for everyone, can't help the Also, everyone so focused on building their family, and I seem to be heading for splitting up mine (if dp would actually accept I mean it, rather than saying it's best we're together. Yes for him, but not for me.

ILTS old blood is good blood, it means no fresh bleeding. Think positively. I agree with you completely about treating it as if you were not pregnant. That is almost what I have done over the last few weeks. I was only showing a BFP for 5days so almost feel like it wasnt real. I would go to the doctors now just to registeter your BFP. They should offer you a blood test to monitor your HCG. At least that way you will get a true result eithet way.
All that is irrelevant because you are pregnant and will stay that way.

My mum thinks I am bitchy to my brothers DC. What she doesnt (want to) understand is that for years I have been made to feel guilty by my brother because my DH & I have a little bit more money than them. I was working full time when DD1 was little, whereas his DW couldnt be bothered to work at all. We also have very very different ideas about parenting. They think it is ok to park baby/toddler in its pushchair in front of the TV with a bag of crisps!.
I am never horrible to the children because it isnt their fault, but their behaviour is not acceptable in my house as my DDs dont behave as badly!

Oh, sis is good about it, most of the time. But she's got a bit of a 'thing' that me and my parents aren't sufficiently doting on her two boys, even though we live quite far away, my parents are old and pretty immobile, etc... And, in any case, the boys, at 2 and 4, couldn't give a monkeys whether they see us or not! She gets a bit fed up with my 'problems', I think.

Also think it's off that your mum doesn't understand how you are feeling. Mind you, I find that most people don't understand - it's only really people on here who seem to imo.

Oh, and Wheely, if you ask me you could be on your way to a BFP. I remember two pregnancies ago one of the first signs was crazed emotions - I bawled my eyes out seeing a private ambulance arrive at the block of flats opposite my office

CD1 - what a relief. Was dreading a long cycle as only had spotting last few days and usually get full flow by CD27.

ILTS - it may well be old bits clearing out, as someone once put it.

Well, back to square farking one today. AF came yesterday evening, like the bitch she is. All despondent, so bought some wine, and now hungover. Mood not helped by hearing from my mum that my sis thinks we're not being excited enough about her son's fourth birthday. Which is a month away. And whose birthday party I'm attending, even though it will be stuffed to the gunnels with babies, toddlers and smug Surrey mothers and make me want to kill myself. GNNNNNNGG.

ILTS I have had three episodes of bleeding with this baby, some pink some brown and some red. I saw the baby the other day so I think all is well. About 20% of women bleed in pregnancy, good luck.

Wheely speaks sense re. importance of having all pregnancies recorded. Also, you might benefit from having reassurance scans during this pregnancy but they won't refer you unless you present at a clinic.

ILTS - doesn't sound insensitive at all (how we get through these things I really don't know tbh so anything that helps.......) but don't give up yet. Apart from the spotting, how do you feel?

Not insensitive at all - I totally understand. However, one reason to get it checked out medically (if it continues) is that if it is worst case scenario you might want to get it registered as they won't count it if you want investigations at any stage.

But, will be keeping everything crossed that it is implantation.

ILTS - I had brown blood with ds at 5-11 weeks and all was fine. Any cramps? Hope all is ok with your little bean, but bleeding is very very common so try not to worry hun (impossible I know)xx

SK - you weren't supposed to see my negative post. I hopped over here as I didn't want to cast a cloud over your wonderful bfp! Thanks for your encouraging words though - and everyone else for that matter

Gilly - he looked at my tongue too and asked whether I had put weight on recently (don't know why he asked that), also asked what my energy levels are like (of course they are crap like most mums would be)and he asked what my periods are like eg flow and frequency. It was a bit tricky as the lady had to translate the whole time. He did recommend the herbs too. Usually my cycle is regular. Bit concerned this month as period has not started properly.

not got an epu, honestly im not going to go as i do not want to know, if it gets worse im going to call it af and use every ounce of self control i have to forget i ever got a bfp. I know it probably sounds insensitive but its how i deal with things

Thinking of you ILTS. I want to say try not worry but I know you will. GP in the morning (or can you self refer to your EPU ?).

ILTS - its old blood isn't it so not necessarily a bad sign, could be implantation bleed ... How did your previous m/c start ?

Hugs to Ladylush - don't know anything about chinese medicine although its on my 'to do' list. Where I live has a very high south korean population so we have lots of chinese medicine places - a friend of mine had acupuncture at a place and DID conceive that cycle after about 10 months of trying so I will probably go there in case it wasn't a coincidence !

Not much to report here - AM CD 24 - probably of up to a 30 day cycle and pmt has already started. Huge sore boobs and have been irrationally irritated by my builders today (I think irrationally although its hard to tell), so guess its all over this month too. Am quite gutted if it is as I know we did absolutely everything we could have done this month..... (and as you will all know it doesn't help reading all the 'oops I've got pregnant by standing next to my DH and its my 100th child' .... bitter and jealous - moi ?!
