What were your EARLY symptoms..?

So I know this is super duper early for me.. I'm 3DPO today and have been feeling very crampy, nauseous and exhausted! (Cant even describe how tired I am!)

I know full well that a fertile egg wouldn't have even implanted yet, so I'm not for one second implying that I'm experiencing early pregnancy symptoms - I assume it's probably the aftermath of ovulating 🤔😅

It got me thinking.. and I wondered if anybody has ever just 'known' that they were pregnant..? Like the first few days post ovulation? I'm just genuinely curious!

I know many family members and also some friends that claim they knew pretty much within the first 3-7DPO! 😅

As I say, I'm not trying to say I 'know' I'm pregnant or anything like that, this is my first cycle TTC so I know that would be extremely lucky.. just curious! X x

@TheDaydreamBelievers bless you. That cycle
Is most likely the longest I've ever heard of,
Too. I've got my fingers crossed for a positive outcome for you either way! 💓

You absolutely cannot be feeling pregnancy symptoms at 3dpo. If an egg has been fertilised, it won't have implanted yet and HCG will not yet be being released. As another poster said, anything you are feeling is linked to progesterone rising, which happens after ovulation regardless of conception. I'm sure you aren't looking for symptoms but think you will have become very aware of any feeling in your body and there is nothing you can do about that awareness when TTC. The fluttering, cramping and heaviness is far more likely to be gas than anything gynaecological. Hope you get your BFP this month but will be a looooong TWW if you don't try to put it out of your mind...

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/09/2020 22:29

Right @Nam095?! No one ever told me coming off the pill would be this tricky. I'm part of a chat on here called Post Pill TTC Party where we all discuss/complain about the mess that is our cycles.

I'm just hoping either AF or BFP is the outcome and it's not a failed ovulation and another giant cycle! The 141 days is the longest I've come across on mumsnet

premum1 · 19/09/2020 22:28

I've just come off of the Nexplanon implant! Had it removed early August and had AF 4 weeks to the day later.. and then ovulated Thursday 🤷‍♀️ it's crazy how it can affect everyone so differently. I've got my fingers and toes crossed for everybody! Baby dust all round 💓💓☺️

@TheDaydreamBelievers ah I have my fingers crossed for you! 🤞🏼 I’ll be testing 10dpo as I’m going out for a meal that evening and would like a drink, but at 10dpo it could be BFN but I might still be pregnant so I probably won’t drink anyway either way 😅 wow that’s the longest cycle I’ve heard so far, I’m so sorry that must have been really difficult! I came off my pill recently too and my first cycle was 41 days, second cycle 25 and this cycle seems like the same as previous, I ovulated CD12 again. I hate how the pill has messed our hormones up so much!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/09/2020 22:12

Absolutely hear you @Nam095 - this is my second cycle but cycle 1 was 141 days long and cycle 2 is 46 so far (coming off hormonal contraception has messed my cycle up so much). I've only managed to pinpoint ovulation this cycle so really hoping

Nam095 · 19/09/2020 22:09

@TheDaydreamBelievers well my FF app thinks I’m 6dpo but I think I’m 5dpo based off of my LH peak and temperatures. This is my third TWW and honestly the waiting is sooo long 😩

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/09/2020 22:07

Ah sorry @Nam095 I've seen you said 5DP above. When are you planning on testing?

My app is predicting AF tomorrow (13DPO). If it doesnt come, I will test early next week

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/09/2020 22:05

I'm crossing my fingers hard for us all @Nam095 Smile. What DPO are you?

Nam095 · 19/09/2020 22:04

@TheDaydreamBelievers yeah I know my sore boobs are from the progesterone rise, it’s the fluttering I’m confused about 🤔

premum1 · 19/09/2020 22:01

@FreshfieldsGal the crazy thing is, is that I'm only 3DPO! 😯 so I'm really really early into my TWW.
I honestly haven't felt like this before, this is so different to sickness / wind / bowel related things, it's cramps and fluttering and sore boobs all at once! X

FreshfieldsGal · 19/09/2020 21:58

Oooh sounds promising for you premum1
I would have loved a third but DH had the snip 😭
When can you test?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/09/2020 21:57

Believe me, I feel you guys. At the moment I also feel like everything could be a 'sign' (12DPO).

I hate to be the bubble buster but... The problem is that all of these things are also signs of the progesterone rise towards AF (pointy, big, sensitive nips; tiredness; nausea etc). As the old adage goes, if you are pregnant enough that it is what is causing your symptoms, you are pregnant enough to test positive

premum1 · 19/09/2020 21:55

@Nam095 you're literally feeling the exact same as me I think! I've got my fingers crossed for us both! Yes exactly what on earth is that feeling?! Never felt it before.. X

OP posts:
Nam095 · 19/09/2020 21:47

@premum1 ha I can’t bring myself to wear a bra during the TWW because I know when I take it off they will be SO sore 😂 I know what you mean though my nipples really sensitive as well it’s so uncomfortable 😣 the fluttering feeling feels so weird right?! Like what is it 😂

premum1 · 19/09/2020 21:46

@FreshfieldsGal ohh I definitely have the tender boobs! I've not really noticed it today but once I was getting ready for bed it was much more obvious. Fingers crossed! Feeling just very off.. can't really describe it!

OP posts:
FreshfieldsGal · 19/09/2020 21:44

My symptoms were really painful boobs - that was with Dd. With DS I had no symptoms at all, my periods weren't regular so I'd just do random tests. I remember doing the test and leaving it for about an hour as I forgot about it. Went back later and saw a positive. Did another and came back the same!

Good luck op!

premum1 · 19/09/2020 21:43

@beckyBP so exciting! I hope it's the best news for you! 💓
I'm much earlier along at 3DPO but do feel the same in terms of cramps.. I'm lying here now and I can feel a bubbly / fluttery sensation in my stomach and still cramping quite horribly down low. It's so odd.. I know I'm not 'looking' for the signs as they've been so prominent and the cramping has been the last two days. I feel like a crazy lunatic 😂🤷‍♀️ xx

beckyBP · 19/09/2020 21:39

Aw yay! I'm been waiting for a thread like this!!

I'm 12dpo (TTC baby number 1) and for the last 5 days I've had very vivid dreams and woken up around 5am and not been able to sleep. Also cramping on and off but I normally get that pre period. Also super tired but no surprise with the early wake ups and don't seems to be as 'acne ridden' as I normally am pre AF!

Sorry to jump on the thread just really interested to see the comments xx

premum1 · 19/09/2020 21:38

@Abitlikeabiscuit ohh exciting times!
I'm really feeling silly even thinking about these 'symptoms' to be honest it could be nothing, but I like to think I know my body so these feelings are definitely not usual for me. fluttery kind of feeling in my stomach at the moment along with some very low down dull cramps.. boobs are really sensitive too 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ ahh I just want to know! Got a long TWW ahead now 💓

OP posts:
Abitlikeabiscuit · 19/09/2020 21:34

I had cramping, thinking period was coming on but it lasted three days and I thought "hmmm I'll just do a test..."

premum1 · 19/09/2020 21:30

Having said all of that, just taken my bra off to go to bed.. cringe lol sorry 😂🤷‍♀️ and my nipples are ROCK solid and really painful and sensitive to touch. Around the nipple feels sensitive and fairly sore too.. weird!

premum1 · 19/09/2020 21:28

@Nam095 same boat as me! I'm TTC my first, it's a minefield out there, so much contradicting information 😅🤔 I have felt almost the exact same as you, my boobs feel heavy but not achey yet.. I'm 2/3 DPO though can't be sure exactly which day I ovulated. Very hard to not clutch at straws especially when you aren't sure what to look out for! 💓💓

OP posts:
Nam095 · 19/09/2020 21:24

This is my first time TTC so I don’t know if the symptoms I’m getting mean anything, but I’m 5dpo today and at 3dpo I had pinching pain on my left hand side for about 3/4 hours then it just stopped. Today my boobs are aching A LOT and I had some mild cramping in the morning and then again in the afternoon for about half an hour. I’ve also had some kind of fluttering feeling in my womb every so often but I think that may be contractions where my womb is ‘transporting’ the egg? Not really sure I’m probably clutching at straws 😅

premum1 · 19/09/2020 21:24

@mineofuselessinformation oh yes I feel you on the bloating, I feel like I'm going to pop! I've just got the mist heavy feeling stomach, I can describe it. So weird!
