Hi ladies...with the cheapie OPKs, when you get a peak LH surge...how many days after the surge do you DTD? Xxxx

Runnergirl1 · 24/09/2020 13:29

@HappyVibes no I stopped doing opk as I had ewcm and a peak on cb so I thought I ovulated around the 3rd September. I had a lot of ewcm, a lot more than usual tbh. Maybe I need to get back to the cheap OPKs again and see what’s going on. I haven’t done frer yet at all. As I thought it would be a waste of time but done, ic tests, clearblue and some cheap wilko ones. My head is scrambled.

@Furbsies we are In exactly the same boat I’m cd36, 21dpo (I thought) period was due a week ago. Honestly can’t cope. She still said there is a chance I could be pregnant. But carry on as you where and wait and see didn’t really fill me with confidence. You may get more luck than me though x

Furbsies · 24/09/2020 13:04

@runnergirl1 same situation.. I feel like pulling my hair out, cycle day 37. Cm is quite clear and stretchy still. Still bfn and negative opk

I was going to call my doctor but your message has put me off that.

HappyVibes · 24/09/2020 12:55

@Runnergirl1 have you been doing OPK tests too? Just in case your cycle has been a bit different and you may have ovulated later than you expected, therefore AF may not yet be due? Or was your ovulation definitely clear this cycle?

Your CM presence would be hopeful in terms of a BFP still being on the cards? It could also indicate a FW if your cycles are a bit out. Have you tried a few different pink and blue dye early response tests?

Xxxx

HerringGull · 24/09/2020 12:45

Can I join please?
Had an mc a couple of months ago and this is the first cycle TTC since then. 9 DPO at the moment, but won't test until I'm late. Busy symptom spotting - I'm terrible for that! Grin

RichmondLady1981 · 24/09/2020 12:08

@Runnergirl1 I’d be keen to so and see someone private if you can. 💕

Runnergirl1 · 24/09/2020 11:14

So ladies I rang the doctors today as no af still and she more or less said wait and see, could be hormones, which could be due to stress or mmc. I may not have ovulated, I may just end up being a few weeks late. Apparently nothing to worry about atm, she’s not concerned and carry on as we where (so more DTD). Not really helpful but just going to have to ride it out. Cm is still very creamy and I’m very damp. Oh and I could still be pregnant 🤦🏼‍♀️ X

RichmondLady1981 · 23/09/2020 20:45

@Sallyjo27 it sounds like you’ve been to see all the right specialists and you have a plan of action. So sorry that you’ve been through so much- 2021 will be your year x 💕

chloedancer897 · 23/09/2020 20:44

@RichmondLady1981 I couldn't keep going the way I was. I was like a woman possessed. I really needed to take a step back for my own sanity x

RichmondLady1981 · 23/09/2020 20:39

@chloedancer897 that’s amaZing. I think there’s so much to be said for taking a step back. Seems to have helped so many people. Good luck !

Sallyjo27 · 23/09/2020 18:35

Hi ladies hope you are all okay?
Just thought I’d give an update as I had an appointment with a private consultant today (I’ve had 3 miscarriages in the past 7 months). We went private as the NHS waiting list was 11 months. The consultant is writing to the hospital and the gp to ask them to do the blood clotting test but said she’ll do it if they won’t( I’ll have to pay £180 if I have it through her but I don’t mind) and she said she’s writing to the gp to ask her to prescribe me progesterone for 12 weeks when I get pregnant again as well. As soon as I get pregnant I’ve got to ring her and they’ll arrange a scan for 6/7 weeks and if there’s a heartbeat I can take aspirin too. She said there’s more chance of me having a baby than miscarrying again so that made me feel better. she also told me to eat a “reduced inflammation” diet and red meat 2/3 times a month at the most. Yeah definitely, feel so much better. I mentioned my bmi and she said not to worry about it at all Because it isn’t a reason for miscarriage. I’m surprised because mine is quite high. I’m not going to TTC this month as I’ve got another 21day progesterone blood test booked in and an ultrasound scan to check my ovaries etc on the 26th of October. Providing everything comes back normal we will be back on it hoping for a 2021 baby xx

chloedancer897 · 23/09/2020 18:33

@HappyVibes we've DTD so much I don't think my DH has any sperm left!😂😂 hopefully that's me covered. I need a break! What your cycles usually like? I tend to ovulate the same time every month so I have an idea when it's happening. I told myself I'd stop doing OPKs but I just can't resist POAS lol

@RichmondLady1981 thanks. I also missed my temp on CD14 because I've been so lax this cycle so I imagine I probably had a temp dip then. Temps are high now

Runnergirl1 · 23/09/2020 17:55

@Furbsies and @RichmondLady1981 still no sign of af pulling my hair out. I wish I could help you furbsies but in the same boat hanging around waiting for af to show her ugly face. I’ve had one af since mmc but now 20dpo and still nothing. It’s torture and I am the same as you, I sure what to do. I just want her to arrive so I can crack on. Even my oh is wondering what’s going on and what’s to get on with things haha x

RichmondLady1981 · 23/09/2020 17:10

@Runnergirl1 hope things are progressing and AF has turned up?

familybythesea · 23/09/2020 17:04

@scrambledeggy thank you - and congratulations, I hope your pregnancy is a healthy happy one :)

@HappyVibes thank you for the reassurance - I’ve actually had the scan and CD3 tests, but my GP wouldn’t do the progesterone one as he wasn’t sure what he was doing! (I know I ovulate but not sure if progesterone is low as I spot heavily before my period starts). I’m hoping the clinic might involve a bit more detail but who knows - sounds like we’re at a similar stage of investigations. Let’s hope neither of us need them soon! :) Looking at your chart maybe I’d get in one last DTD!

Furbsies · 23/09/2020 17:00

@Sully84 thank you for that. So sorry about your loss. I'm just so confused and not able to be happy about some other good news that family has. It's been difficult.
I do have cd2/3 bloodtest booked for pcos and such so was hoping if I don't get my BFP I'll be doing that but now AF is playing hard
@RichmondLady1981 thank you so much for linking me on this, I'm struggling tk understand what's happening
@Runnergirl1 what would be your best advice and what was your experience with all this.

RichmondLady1981 · 23/09/2020 16:54

@Bl0ndi3 congrats. That’s so reassuring. Here’s to a healthy 9 months ahead ! X

@Furbsies I think @Runnergirl1 was experiencing something similar?

Welcome @PixieLa and @notalwaysalondoner. Sorry for your losses. Hopefully things will go your way this cycle! Xx

@Firevie good luck with the POAS. Your cycle sounds similar to mine in terms of when you ovulate. Seems like a long time to wait doesn’t it! I’m on CD5. But boring but at least I have a break from POAS 😂

@chloedancer897 CD 14 def looks the darkest (peak) to me. They say you ovulate 24-48 hours after your peak/surge. Good luck! 😀

HappyVibes · 23/09/2020 16:20

What does everyone think to my charts please? My mind is blown this month so I’m just so unsure ha. Usually I’m so confident, but rather double check. I’m wondering if I ovulated CD18? So if so may get another DTD tonight?

HappyVibes · 23/09/2020 16:14

Yes @chloedancer897 ... or the morning of CD14? Have you managed to DTD around the time if so? Xx

HappyVibes · 23/09/2020 16:08

@familybythesea the appointments are with gynae hun - I had my first one at the beginning of the month. It was really good & really reassuring!

From my first appt with gynae they requested CD3 bloods, CD28 bloods & a referral for an internal scan. My internal scan is beginning of next month so only been approx 4 week wait which is good. & my bloods will also be complete by then too. Just then need to wait for an appt with the consultant to discuss all the results. So all in all, a quick turn around which I was impressed with.

Hopefully this gives a little insight into what’s to come for you. But hopefully you’ll be fine and won’t need it given that you’re now in the TWW!

I might postpone my internal scan until I know if I got my BFP by then as I don’t feel comfortable having an internal if I am literally just pregnant. Xxxx

susiebluebell · 23/09/2020 16:05

Hello @notalwaysalondoner, I'm a very recent ex-Londoner (probably always a Londoner at heart though) and I'm 30 next month! Friends and in-laws having babies all over the place and it's very bittersweet isn't it! I don't think me and my OH have anything to worry about as we've only had 1 miscarriage and it was our first pregnancy - still devastating - and I've got my fingers crossed that the same is true for you! Should assume all is fine until you hear otherwise!

And hello @PixieLa I think you do have to wait a couple of days as a member till you can post pictures 🙄 Here's hoping it's all good for you!

Rainbowhope11 · 23/09/2020 16:02

Hi ladies! Any whose had an Hcg trigger shot before, how many days did it take for the Hcg to leave your system?

scrambledeggy · 23/09/2020 15:40

@Bl0ndi3 ooh, mines the 21st. Is it a private scan you're having on the 10th?

Welcome @notalwaysalondoner , so sorry to hear about your losses. So good that you're finally (hopefully) getting some answers.

@PixieLa I know how hard it is to wait (both for the mumsnet system and to test again!). When you come back in a day or two there should be a section below the "Add your message here" that says "Images", and you can upload them there.

Sympathy to the OPK crew, I still have loads in my drawer as I bought a massive batch of cheapies!
@familybythesea I've been lurking for ages as well! Well done on getting past that tough milestone, and for hopefully reaching another in your post-MC care by getting that appointment for next month.

Just cracked and did another test, it's a lot darker than yesterday's, phew. Can someone ban me from picking up any more for my own good? 😂

Sully84 · 23/09/2020 15:01

@Furbsies I miscarried late last year, since then my cycles have been between 26-31 days (was usually 28 pre MC). But last month I had a 41 day cycle. It completely threw me. My GP is going to do 21 day bloods (I’m on about day 12 so far). I’m hoping it was just a blip and that even though it’s been 9 months since MC and surgery maybe my body is still recovering. The GP didn’t seem overly concerned and seemed to think the stress of covid etc has probably effected lots of people in different ways. Not sure that’s reassuring but just to say you aren’t alone so maybe it is the body just still resetting itself after the MC. Sending hugs though as I know it really plays on your mind x

familybythesea · 23/09/2020 14:47

Just checking in and saying hi - I've been watching the feed but haven't had a lot to say. 5dpo and got my fingers crossed but it was my birthday this week (38, eek!) so I've been on the sugar, caffeine, wine...you name it! It was also my due date for my missed miscarriage a couple of days before my birthday so that stirred up some old emotions, but doing better now. I have an appointment with the recurrent miscarriage clinic (although letter only mentioned gynaecology dep?) next month so I'm hoping they will run some tests to put my mind at rest that there's no clotting disorders or anything obvious like that - and maybe they can finally answer some of my questions about short luteal phases!

Hope you're all doing ok. Hello to the new people - wishing you luck. And sending hugs to all those struggling at the moment xx
