@bellabella84 so hard not to get carried away thinking about stuff ! I get myself into a right head spin and then remind myself I need to get pregnant first 😂🙈

I've not had any AF symptoms other than 1 spot on my face, I'm lucky enough to have clear skin and only get spots near AF so not sure if that's a sign she's on her way or if it's from wearing my mask on a train journey the other day. Still haven't tested, going to test next Friday as according to flo it's due in 5 days but that can always be out a day or two.

Hi @RBCoxie and @Clapham4 I'm also in the "not strictly testing in September" gang. Period due 1st October. This months fertile window coincides with my 36th birthday, and my pre fertile window doubts are way out of perspective this cycle! Top of this months list of doubts is what I would do if my kid was sent home from school sick. Goodness knows how nuts I'll go if I ever do manage to get pregnant!

AnnaPosie · 10/09/2020 18:44

@clapham4 not sure I'd have the patience for temp testing to be honest but if we are still trying in another month or two I'll consider it!

Anyone thinking of testing in the next week or so ?

@Clapham4
Haha crazy or calm - love it! I’ve tried to convince myself I’m going to be calm, but I just know I won’t be. Even my OH laughed when I said I was going to wait until my AF was actually due - he knows me too well 😂
Totally agree - everyone is different too so we’ve just gotta do what’s right for us. It’s great to get advice from others in the same situation though! Picking up loads of great tips.

I’m not temp testing yet - I’m not using OPKs either but I think I’ll start using OPKs over the next few months if nothing happens.

@Unicornsparklez
As @AnnaPosie said - really positive that they can’t find anything wrong - I’ve heard that a lot of the time it just comes down to luck! Has your OH tried the Wellman Conception tablets? I’m not at all in the medical field, however I’ve seen some really great reviews about them!

Clapham4 · 10/09/2020 11:40

@RBCoxie oh the TWW, I hate it😅, so cycle 1 I tested all the time🙈 And then last month I distracted myself and I only tested ONCE, I knew AF was coming but just wanted to know for sure. This month I could be crazy or calm... who knows 😂 I’ll try and go as long as possible though I think🤞🏼

That’s so funny about the raw eggs! It’s mental all the different advice through the years, totally agree with not stressing though. That’s half the battle, not stressing your body.

Is anyone doing temp testing or anything? I’ve never done it not sure if it’s worth it if I know my ovulating timings x

AnnaPosie · 10/09/2020 11:19

@unicornsparklez
That's good they can't find anything wrong , I know it seems like a long wait but on average it can take over a year ! I think we were just told so much to worry about pregnancy that we assumed it would happen straight away!

@clapham4
That's great you figured out the ovulation, I definitely think we got our timing wrong for a few months 🙈 yup I had the same problem with pregnacare.

@rbetty
Sorry to hear about your chemical, hopefully September will be a better month for you. Don't be hard on yourself at all, it's not your fault ♥️

@Clapham4

Ah yes!! My Ovia app is saying I’m due on the 2nd October which was pretty accurate last month - I’m going to try really hard not to test before then, but I can see myself caving and testing at the end of Sept 😂 Do you have a plan for testing?
That’s such a good way of looking at it - and so sensible too! Thank you! With the amount of info that’s out there, we can end up cutting out so much and getting more stressed about it which has a negative impact in itself! As you say, I’ll definitely move onto decaf if I get a BFP but for now I think I’ll stick to the one cup of coffee a day. So funny about the Guinness - my Nan used to drink raw eggs in the morning when she was pregnant for the protein 🤢
So pleased there’s someone else with the same TWW - I’m not the most patient person in the world so nice to have someone who understands!! 😂

Clapham4 · 10/09/2020 09:57

@RBCoxie yes we’re on the same timeline then🙌🏻 When would you be testing? My AF due 3rd/4th Oct.
With the caffeine thing, I think it only becomes a thing in early pregnancy so having it while trying is prob fine (I’m no doctor btw!)
My view is for years women have been getting pregnant while drinking teas, coffees, even smoking etc. My Nan had 8 healthy babies and never thought about what she was consuming, just had a healthy enough diet. And probably drank about 100 cups of tea a day😂 She was actually advised to drink Guinness!!
I’ve also had friends who didn’t know they were preg and were drinking in early preg and all went on to have normal healthy babies & pregnancy.
I get it though, when TTC you want to give yourself the best chance. I don’t think I can give up tea though! I’ll move decaf if I get a BFP but not a second before then 🙈 With coffee I’ll still have a regular one in the morning and move onto decaf if I’ve anymore.
Each to their own really, it’s what you’re comfortable with xx

Welcome @rbetty 💕

RBCoxie · 10/09/2020 09:21

@LJCoolJ
Ah thank you so much! Fingers crossed for a miracle! Think I’m going to try the pineapple and pomegranate too - anything to help! Sending you lots of baby dust do you can give your mum a lovely birthday present!

@AnnaPosie
Thank you! It definitely does seem to be a bit of a crazy world! Yeah really pleased that my AF arrived as normal - I’ve heard that it can take a few months to settle down too so it may not be the case for me this month, but let’s see! I have one coffee a day in the morning - I have a pretty long commute into work (1.5hrs each way) and it gets me through. I should probably stop that and switch to decaf though 😔 or do you think one coffee would be okay? Honest opinion welcome!!

@Clapham4
Yes!! I’m glad I’m not the only one 😂 I’ve only had one a day so far but earlier this week I turned up to work and someone had bought me one and I felt awful not drinking it so I ended up having two - I felt so guilty! As it’s a one off, surely it won’t make too much of an impact! I think if don’t have my miracle BFP this month then I’ll properly stop caffeine. My FW is also due next week and I have a 30 day cycle so we must be around the same time! Fingers crossed that September is our month!!

Welcome to everyone who has joined too! Sending lots of baby dust to you all! Really hoping that there are some BFPs from this group this month!! x

rbetty · 10/09/2020 02:44

Hey is it ok if I join? I'm hoping sept will be my month, I had a chemical back in may and I've been trying ever since, I'm trying not to be too hard on myself, all I think is if I can get a BFP before the end of the year I will be a happy lady 😊

Clapham4 · 09/09/2020 23:46

Sorry for the monologue 🙈

Clapham4 · 09/09/2020 23:46

Hi all,

Hoping I can hop on here too, I’m on another group but this seems like a lovely small group I can keep up with as @LJCoolJ says :)
Too funny about the caffeine @RBCoxie, I’m the same. When I first heard about it being bad I thought that’s ridiculous I love coffee and I’m carrying on as normal, and then added decaf coffee to the shopping list the next day🙈 I am having the odd drink though, especially when AF arrives!

I’ve been officially TTC for 3 months but I’ve been off the pill for a year before this, some months we entirely missed the window due to one of us being away for work. But I naively thought we could just fall pregnant without really trying! And turns out I ovulate later in my cycle which I learned from the clear blue tests, so glad I tested so now I know. Taking folic acid too, I tried the Pregnacare supplements but that month my regular 30 day cycle went haywire and I read that’s happened to other women so I stopped taking them, and it went back to normal, so strange!

My FW starts next week.. Fingers crossed Sept is the month for us all💕🤞🏼

Unicornsparklez · 09/09/2020 21:04

Hi all. I'm 31 TTC #1 for 16 months now 😞 I've had blood tests, ultrasounds etc and they can't find anything health wise with myself that would be a factor for our lack of success. OH had a sample analysis a couple of months ago and had borderline low morphology. This can impact as a tad too many swimmers with two heads and two tails for want of a better description 🤣. Usually use the first step amazon sticks to detect ovulation. Cycles can be anything from 30-36days and my app usually predicts ov at around CD20. I used the clear blue digital for the first time this cycle & got a static smiley CD15 which surprised me. Trying not to expect anything as very much used to AFs arrival each month now. Not experienced anything so far.. no chemicals or anything so yet to ever see a BFP. Lots of luck and baby dust to you all ✨✨✨

1992EM · 09/09/2020 20:37

@AnnaPosie I have been taking smoothie with pineapple, mango, papaya, pomegranate, berries etc. I also have sunflower seeds on my cereal . I take the slimfast shakes too as they have lots of vitamins in it. Lots of water and walking regularly. No idea if it helps but will at least make me healthier x

AnnaPosie · 09/09/2020 20:28

@LJCoolJ

Seem to be fine on the seven seas so far fingers crossed!! I've never heard of the pomegranate , that sounds interesting, I know Kylie Jenner was always eating it and she got pregnant so maybe there is truth to it , worth a shot 😂😂

I must try more of the pineapple 👍

@1992EM

Welcome 😀 think I'm about a week or ahead of you but similar length of cycles and lutheal phase.

Saw pineapple mentioned below, anyone trying anything else food related ? I've been eating brazilian nuts , they contain selenium which is meant to be good for fertility or so Google says 😂

I would love to join. I am onto cycle 5 of ttc number one. I'm am a few days off ovulation I usually ovulate between cd14 and cd18 and I am cd13 just now. Cycles are usually around 30 days and have a 13 day luteal phase. Hopefully September is a lucky month for everyone x

LJCoolJ · 09/09/2020 16:40

@AnnaPosie i was exactly the same! although the amount of time I have spent reading articles and forums on it all i'm half way to being a fertility expert i think! Hahaha I joke! Ah let me know how you are feeling on those seven seas, i tried those for a month but had my CM so stopped for 6 months - trying the proconcieve folic acid tablets now and drinking lots of pomegrante juice and eating pineapple (I will try them all if they work!) lol :D

@kalecat
Sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy, hopefully this month will be better for you. We took a break for a while as well earlier in the year as we are due to get married in December so was worrying about my dress fitting but now I'm a few months trying I wouldn't care if I had a bump, just want one 😂 congrats on your upcoming wedding, it would be a wonderful present for sure.

@RBCoxie
Welcome to the madness of ttc ! That's great your AF came I have seen for some people they have to wait ages after coming off the pill.
I was exactly the same , I stopped coffee , sweets , takeaways etc and when it didn't happen then I felt so sorry for myself as thought I was doing everything right but it's just a lot to do with luck . It's definitely very overwhelming and I've no patience , it's the not being in control part that is hard. I still have the occasional coffee to be honest because I was stressing too much about trying to do everything right , I think it will be better to be feeling relaxed as it's hard enough already so don't drive yourself mad is my advice !
