I need to be so low cal to lose it’s so frustrating I maintain on 1200. Low carb helped that.

I’ll kick my arse in gear soon.

candycrush2298 · 16/09/2020 21:26

@Elakiya I believe its possibly a contributing factor but by no means the sole reason. One of my friends are almost 20 stone and she had a healthy baby. Whilst she may not have had the best pregnancy being obese she conceived and her husband isn't much lighter than her (they did no struggle to conceive within 4 months off birth control she conceived). And of course there are many other people who are overweight and have children. So I refuse to believe thats the only reason.

I am most certainly not saying dont lose weight because being a healthy weight is always a good thing I am just saying I dont think its 100% preventing pregnancy. And the same goes for you @NamechangeTTC I just cant see it as a punishment to you.

And I didnt do low carb when I lost my weight I constricted calories and followed my fitness pal which was macros of 50% carbs, 30% fats and 20% protein.

@snapple21 think the rapid response won't pick it up yet unless you're prepared to wait a week to test i would use a different test for now and keep the rapid response for later.

Can you grab some other tests?

Could be implantation though!

snapple21 · 16/09/2020 20:46

So possibly the asda ones aren't that good.
I'm going to do another clear blue early detection in the morning.
I have the first response but only the rapid ones?
I think they're only sensitive to 50miu.
I'm cramping like my period is coming!

Elakiya · 16/09/2020 20:27

@NamechangeTTC Yh low carb makes me lightheaded and tired all the time. I did this before I got married and used to sleep at 8pm everyday because I was sooo tired. But I definitely think unless I do low carb I won't lose the weight... and once I go back to the NHS they just won't help me.

NamechangeTTC · 16/09/2020 20:24

Oh I fully understand. I got mega skinny to get married and ran all the time but I can’t run now and it makes me angry trying. I can’t be arsed found out to do a mile when I used to do 10 miles easily for fun. I can drop carbs and lose weight but be fucking miserable and skint but I might have to try.

Elakiya · 16/09/2020 20:19

@snapple21 Don't lose hope yet. Buy an FRER this might be the start of something :D. Fingers crossed for you.

@candycrush2298 @Kaybobx But it's true though. I've been told one very simple thing. Lose weight and you'll get pregnant naturally. I was told that over 2 years ago now and I am still overweight so to sum it up, I've just been lazy I need to sort myself out. I know this will happen if I lose the weight but that's where my problem is... I sit exams every 6 months work can get super busy so I just end up making excuses for myself. If I want a baby I need to pull myself together. Even my gynae last month was fuming that I had gained some of the weight back. I could clearly see on his face that he wasn't happy at all... I need to lose it. I don't know how I am going to do it but I need to otherwise I am scared I'll either have a baby with health conditions or I want have one at all.

@NamechangeTTC Sad I'm sorry that you also feel this way. It's really disheartening and upsetting, and what makes it worse is if you're an emotional eater, it's a vicious circle.

candycrush2298 · 16/09/2020 19:56

@snapple21 found this thread on Asda tests people are saying the £1 Asda tests are even better so that might be good news then

Waiting for spotting to start. Fucking hate the 2ww

NamechangeTTC · 16/09/2020 19:41

Nap fail. Just woke up.

Welliedays · 16/09/2020 19:06

I'm sure the Asda ones are like 20 or something @snapple21

candycrush2298 · 16/09/2020 18:15

@Elakiya fully agree with @Kaybobx weight is such a difficult thing to manage and during lock down it was so easy to grab snacks and eat what you wanted as its all so readily available. Mental health also causes compulsion eating. So no you are not any less deserving because of your eating habits / weight!!

@snapple21 you know we are all hanging on every test now hahaah because you're a soy subject hahaah!!

OP posts:
NamechangeTTC · 16/09/2020 18:15

Praying for a good result @snapple21 maybe this is our soy baby.

@Elakiya I fully understand how you feel. I feel like it’s a punishment for my weight deep down. I just can’t fix it just now.

@Boc86 glad you have your appointment.

I’m waiting for spotting to start. Some cramps, have walked miles and miles today. Hubby having a beer and I’ve had to go for a nap I’m that exhausted. 12dpo.

Kaybobx · 16/09/2020 17:53

@Elakiya awe don't say that its not true. I've put on a stone and half since lockdown, im actually heaver than when i was full term pregnant! Doesn't mean i don't deserve my daughter or another child.
Weight is such a hard thing to manage and i work in a gym!! Sending you ❤

@snapple21 do you have any more tests to try tomorrow? Those blue dyes suck ass! They shouldn't be allowed to be sold. Praying its a positive though 🙏

candycrush2298 · 16/09/2020 17:43

@snapple21 you're not an idiot you're just like the rest of us hopeful to see a line and impatient to wait!! Doesnt make you an idiot.

Maybe they not very sensitive. Can you order some FRERs to arrive tomorrow or does your local superdrug stock them? Or any 10miu early response test. Think home bargains have some early ones. Not sure about poundland?

OP posts:
snapple21 · 16/09/2020 17:25

I've tried to google the asda sensitivity and I can't find it, nor can I find how sensitive this one is. I also hate blue dyes but it was the only early response I could find. Bleh. Don't wanna get my hopes up. I'm 9 days post ov. Wasn't even gonna test I'm an idiot.

candycrush2298 · 16/09/2020 17:23

@snapple21 hmmmm I would say when another test can pick it up then believe it until then dont get too excited. I mean I am super hopeful this is it for you but scared to get excited as blue dyes are evil!! Maybe in a few days other tests will pick it up???
What dpo are you?
It looks a bit dark to be an evap but also think surely another test would pick it up. Is the Asda one also 10miu?

The digital would be too early for anything so discarding that one for now lol.

@Elakiya oh no honey!!! Thats not it, I understand why you're feeling that way but the type of person you are and the determination you display far outweighs your eating habits. Every single human being has flaws we can't be perfect. But you as a person and the kindness you display to others makes you more deserving!!! You are worthy of becoming a parent hun, dont think otherwise!!

Well done on reaching day 2 of 16:8 you got this!!

OP posts:
Elakiya · 16/09/2020 17:16

@candycrush2298 I don't think I deserve kids. If I can't be healthy and look after myself which is the tiniest requirement then why do I deserve kids. I started 16:8 again... it's day 2 today so not easy but this time I am on a mission and I am not stopping until I get what I want. :D

snapple21 · 16/09/2020 17:10

There's nothing at all on the Asda's own and the clear blue digital was negative. I feel weird today but I feel like I'm coming down with something. I've never used this type of clear blue early detection - only the one with the cross which I hate!

candycrush2298 · 16/09/2020 17:08

@Kaybobx 🤗🤗🤗🤗 I think speaking to hubby is a fab idea it will bring you closer if he knows how you're feeling!!! He is your man he will have your back!!

@Elakiya awwww you're breaking my heart saying you don't think you will have kids😭 i truly hope that's not the case. I like your idea of not tracking. I doubt it will ease my obsession in the tww but it certainly has helped for the first half of my cycle think I am going to do this until the end of the year.

@snapple21 I 100% see a line on the CB but can't see anything on Asdas on brand do you have a better angle of that one as I trust the pink dyes more. Omg soooo excited for you what dpo are you again??? Have you been having symptoms??

OP posts:
snapple21 · 16/09/2020 17:02

I am 9po today. Is this a better picture?

CSG (Thread 3)
Kaybobx · 16/09/2020 16:56

@snapple21 ahhh its so hard to say with those blue dyes. Can you see anything on the other? Its a bad angle for me to zoom on this pic.

@elakiya thank you, i literally feel the same and you're probably right. Im going to take a month out and not track anything too. Im going to speak to hubby about it tonight too as i hide too much from him. I think he needs to know how im feeling and what's going on.

Elakiya · 16/09/2020 16:56

@snapple21 What dpo are you?

snapple21 · 16/09/2020 16:51

Clear blue early detection at the top. Asda own test at the bottom. Did a digital and it's negative. The line on the top one came up within a minute. Is it a nasty evap ???

CSG (Thread 3)
Elakiya · 16/09/2020 16:48

@Kaybobx Hugs I am sorry you're feeling quite upset and can completely relate with how it's affecting your marriage. My advice to you would be to not track at all, just BD every other day from CD10 to CD23 and then wait, no tests nothing that way you feel less like you're actually ttc-ing and obviously go and see the gp and push for an appointment to see a specialist etc. But that could just be going on on the side whilst you live life.

This is basically what I am trying to do and honestly, I think its the best thing for my mental health. I want a child and it breaks my heart that everyone I know is having babies and it won't happen for me but there is not much I can do apart from try to be healthy and do as doctors advise :(.

@snapple21 OMG please post your test!
