TTC after MC - Aug/Sept 2020 (Thread 12)

@MichT4 good news about your appointment 😊 that’s so soon which is really reassuring. At least you have an aim now, something in sight. Any sign of AF? Just a little tip if not. Someone told me to drink some ginger... I had that Monday. Low and behold AF started yesterday. Not sure if it’s coincidence or not but thought it might help you too 😊

@KatiePlus3 I’m sorry that it was a BFN but it is still early days which is a good sign. When is your AF due?

I haven’t got a FRER yet but I will nip out and get one after work and take it with FMU tomorrow.

I also have a GP appointment for Monday so if there is no change by then I can mention it then xx

@MinnieMouse4 well...I've taken a FRER and it's a BFN! Lol! So still none the wiser have you been out to get one yet? Xx

@VP91x yes the girls are absolutely living life at the moment. Not sure how long their enthusiasm will last though 😂😂

@MinnieMouse4 I've always had false positive on clear blue tests too, I'm going to get a FRER twin box and do 1 today and the other will save for a few days time :)
So there is still a possibility you may have ovulated really late in your new cycle since mc? Fingers are crossed for you xx

@MichT4 thank you. The 99p one I took was a pink dye but I’m not sure they can be trusted that much. I think I will go and get FRER. I still have one early detection CB left so I will leave that for a good few days as clearly blue dyes are messing me about at the moment xx

@MinnieMouse4 I feel for you. These are the combo of tests that gave me faint lines for over a week. EPU think it's a chemical but I now really wonder whether the reviews are accurate about the false positives. Either that or I had some hormone lingering from the previous MC and these ones just picked it up. FRER was stark white throughout. I know lots don't get on with pink dye, but I did with my first pregnancy so I'd definitely try one of those and hopefully you'll get your answer.

@KatiePlus3 I think I can see a faint line. Wait a day, ideally 2, and maybe take a FRER too.

@Pugprincess definitely push for a review. Maybe say you aren't really comfy going in to work until you've had it done - that'll get them moving! 8 weeks! Why is time flying except when you're waiting for AF or in the TWW??

@Bellabubble sorry AF arrived, I hope you are ok. Sounds like you were prepared for it. The scan sounds great. I would definitely go for it - the price you said seems good too!

@KatiePlus3 I don’t know exactly as I stopped taking OPKs before I got a peak but I think it was within a day or 2 of 22nd Aug and last BD was 22nd. My cycles are usually 28 days but this was first since MC so I understand they can take a while to come back to normal but I had a BFN only a few days after MC so I would have thought my hormones would have regulated quite quickly. Xx

@MinnieMouse4 when roughly did you ovulate? I hate being in limbo and not knowing what's going on, when I have a BFNs i rather the AF just hurry up so I can start TTC again. Do you have longer cycles? Xx

@KatiePlus3 I think I will just to make sure but I know I won’t be able to relax until either AF arrives or a definitive BFN xx

@KatiePlus3 my friend told me a little trick where you turn the photo into a negative and you should be able to see the line more clearly. Have you tried that? The cheaper ones are come and go. I’ve found some to be really good and others not so much xx

@MinnieMouse4 I did a poundland paper test too and that is completely negative :/ I'll need to read the box and see if theres a difference in levels detected. Are you going to get a FRER? Xx

Morning Ladies, I caved this morning at 8dpo and did a cheapie poundland test and I think theres another line. I really dont want to get excited rn, as much as I'd love to jump up and down I've lost 2 early on and really cant deal with the heartbreak for a 3rd time. Does anyone else think this could be a positive? Xx

@MrsK21 @Sully84 @VP91x thanks for your support ladies. So 2/4 were definite BFNs (including CBD) but the other 2 Tesco cheapies showed the same result as yesterday with the very faint positive line, albeit a bit more prominent than yesterdays as even OH can see the line 😅. It must be something wrong with the tests. I used these and got my BFP last time but it looks like I’ve picked up 2 packs from a bad batch possibly?
I’m tormenting myself. Debating whether to go and get FRER?

@Pugprincess amazing you're at 8 weeks! Definitely push the school for yo ur risk assessment can't believe they've not done one yet!

No real update from me - onto CD6 now and due to shorter cycle last time, started my CB digi today and got the blank ⭕️ out of the way today. Lots of watery CM so hoping this FW starts ASAP x

@VP91x no I don't temp I tried once but with OH not knowing what I do for TTC it's kinda difficult to do it discreetly haha also I'm rubbish at it and lately I've been waking up every night without fail at around 3:30am for a wee so I'd not be able to atm.

do you? If so, do you wait for an implantation dip etc before testing?

I got my BFP last time at 11dpo I didn't test any earlier and I actually thought I was 12dpo but obviously can't count haha so maybe I'll test on Saturday at the earliest. I also had some very mild symptoms from 9dpo last time, I'm 9dpo tomorrow so I will be giving my boobs a good grope to check for tenderness 😂😂

4 BFNs this morning, including CBD. Expected AF is 7 days late today. I think it’s safe to rule out a BFP this time around or it would have shown by now. I have one CB (not digital) left I will take on Saturday if AF hasn’t arrived by then. Xx

@RichmondLady1981 woke up this morning to af - I suspected it after the bfn on sat, and I had some slight spotting yesterday before bed which was not goong to be in at 15dpo lol. On to the next cycle! I have decided to get some test done though just to be sure - as I’m 36 and onto my 9th cycle post mc. I also had a word with my husband aboht energy drinks, I might be being superstitious, but that is the only thing different to last time. He had been off them for a month when we fell pg last time, but he has since gone back to drinking them, and I swear they can’t be helpful with all those chemicals in them!

i eight in thinking the extra bits nhs offer would be a blood test for hormones? Then test for oh? I’m back to cd1 today - boooo!

@VP91x she should be having a test. Not been told anything more yet though 😩 not great really. I want school to be chasing that family up asking etc. I’ve not had a test yet. I don’t think I will unless this comes back positive with the girl or I develop symptoms. I think the chances are low but I just think if this is how it’s starting it’s not going to be a fun ride. Don’t think I can work from home until 28 weeks as apparently that’s when a temperature can be dangerous for baby. I STILL haven’t had my risk assessment I’ve been asking for. Another lady had hers. So many schools have announced cases and sent whole year groups home etc where I am x

I’m doing ok thanks for asking. 😃. Just getting to grips with going back to work in a school full time and have a little one so it’s a massive juggling act. All this with FW so found it hard DTD when so frazzled. Not sure it was enough this time but let’s see. This morning Natural cycles confirmed ovulation on Sunday so I’m on 3PO. Just starting out on the dreaded TWW. Positives include no more POAS which I’m thrilled about and I’d like to try and switch off a little from it. It’s all consuming.

Due on my period 21st Sep. How about you?

Anyone due AF around the same time?
