TTC after MC - Aug/Sept 2020 (Thread 12)

@Northernsoul90 @KatiePlus3 @VP91x thanks for the support ladies. It is really appreciated. I agree and don’t think I’m going to use those Tesco ones again. Although I did also have a VERY faint line with a CB too!

So I went out and stocked up on pregnancy tests and when I got home I felt some pains and thought I could maybe see some discolouration when I wiped (sorry TMI) so I’m going to hold off taking any tests until the morning if AF doesn’t progress. Sod’s law that happens just after I spend a small fortune on tests but they can always be kept for my next TWW and the most important thing at the moment is having some sort of answer (either AF or BFP).

I did find out something interesting though when looking through the tests and their sensitivity that I thought I would share.
I bought the FRER tests which are 6.3miu
I bought CBD weeks indicator which are 25miu
I bought Superdrug own brand cheapie tests which are 20miu
Finally I bought 99p dip tests which are also 25miu

It’s interesting that the CBD are the same sensitivity as the 99p dippy ones. I always thought they were much more sensitive. I also looked up the CB ultra early (non digital) test sensitivity which is 10miu.

Can you tell that I am trying to keep my mind from testing/checking for AF? 😂 xx

@KatiePlus3 Oh sorry I didn't see that update, I can see the line on your most recent pic too with the photo darkened. Fingers crossed for you! 🤞🏼 Definitely retest with fmu xx

@VP91x This is the same photo but with the photo darkened down as I know cameras never pick it up as good as the naked eye, if this isnt my month I'd really like to temp from next month but I'd need someone to explain it to me as I dont have a clue how to do it :/ xx

@Northernsoul90 I did a FRER after this and got a negative :( but I am still only roughly 8dpo so still holding on to hope because it was a mid day urine too! Xx

I'm good thank you cd 5 today and I think I'm going to try and take a step back this cycle... no temping and I might not even use OPKs but don't hold me to that 😂. Xx

@Pugprincess definitely push for your RA - they should be done asap in schools, and our local council wanted heads to ring everyone up in the hols to do a special covid one (we had 2 inset days so it was literally our first job when we came in on the first day!)

@MichT4 thank you..the bfn 12dpo was probably the best thing in hindsight - otherwise I’d have had extra hope with my cycle being 3days longer than it has been. I have sent an email to the place that does the scans - they are all midwives and they do baby scanning too so I feel like they’ll be able to gove me some good advice! I’m going to ring my Dr’s tomorrow too, hopefully they’ll get me in for blood tests soon. My town has an aging population though so I am hoping that they will move quickly with me (not that I am impatient in anyway!!)

@Pugprincess @RichmondLady1981 so I maaaay have googled energy drinks and make fertility. The results weren’t great so oh bless him has sworn off his until we conceive and pass 12wks! He has been drinking at least 2 bjg cans a day, as well as cups of coffee!

Anyway yeah I heard they look after you too in early pregnancy so either way I should get the support I need. Let's hope I just need the pregnancy monitoring!

I've forgotten what frequent DTD is like 😂 with the puppy and being in the waiting phase we haven't been doing much, I look forward to doing the fun part! Gets exhausting though - good luck!

I love Christmas, it's my favourite. Not sure what it'll be like this year though if this virus stuff doesn't sort itself out. Also should have had our baby by then so that's a bit tough but need to find the positive and hopefully I'll be having a sober one, let's hope we all are xx

@VP91x they are all in the same session :) (so sorry if I already replied - my brain is frazzled trying to teach as well as wash hands regularly, getting them to socially distance etc!) I read somewhere you can have an implantation temp dip that goes below the coverline - so the temp dip could be good news!

@Rb486 thank you. I shall try that. Don’t think it’s pregnancy this month as OH and I weren’t in the same country when I ovulated although maybe I conceived immaculately... 😂😂😂😂 I shall keep you posted xxx

@Firevie yeah fresh ginger and hot water 😊 yeah try it if it’s late. But hopefully if it is late, it’s late for a good reason 😊

@MichT4 yeah good it doesn’t effect anything and you don’t have to technically stop trying if that would make you feel uncomfortable. Go with what feels best for you 😊 hopefully it comes for you this weekend or not 😉 I think it would defos be good to get some answers from the drs though, will make you feel a bit more relaxed in your next pregnancy if you had some more insight! You fall super quick so hopefully they can give you some good advise and you’ll be there in no time 😊 will be worth all the ups and downs!
I’m okay thank you. Glad to be having a new month of opportunity. Going to try and relax and not track. Just DTD every other day and see what happens... that’s a lot of work though 🥵 hahah!

@MichT4 ah I see so not too long to wait hopefully, fingers crossed it comes naturally. I think my really early faint lines when I was like 5dpo etc were from old pregnancy still, even though I thought it was back to bfn cause I don’t see how it could show that early, I remember around 8 days it was fainter and then started appearing again and then got darker. Was confusing. Yh I’m trying to and take one day at a time. Still very wary though. X

@Pugprincess yeah I'm ok thanks, and yeah still waiting for first bleed post MC. You might have read before but I suspect the faint lines were from the previous pregnancy - when I took the one confirming negative it was a pink dye so maybe those few I took still caught it. I obviously don't know for sure but I got my referral out of it so I'll run with it.
I just think I ovulated just after I had the scan and negative bloods so I'm hoping that means AF is now due this weekend. If it doesn't show I'll call EPU next week as they wanted to see me again if it didn't show up

@MichT4 Yh it does fly lol but I’d like it to go faster as I want to be out of the first trimester. I suppose I will always worry though.

@Bellabubble I agree I don’t think the energy drinks are good, how many does he have, my husband was having roughly one can a day. He drinks a lot of coffee too 😩

@KatiePlus3 I would test only with morning urine at the moment as it’s so early x

@Rb486 yeah it is nice to have a date. And I think if the wait is long, they recommend not to try because they can't do the test if you're pregnant. So at least the timing of it should mean it won't affect anything. Not sure how I'd feel about not trying at all.
No sign of AF. I have a feeling I ovulated after the whole faint line saga, and if I did that suggests it's due this weekend, so hopefully not long to wait.
Ooh that's interesting, I love ginger too, might have to try that.

@RichmondLady1981 it does seem lots of us are waiting for a very delayed AF. Just makes it worse as it's just waiting for a chance to try. Maybe our bodies know we will get straight on it so is taking its time to recover 🤔

@KatiePlus3 if you are early on an afternoon wee might not show it because of dilution. Try again in the morning

@Rb486 ooh that’s interesting about the ginger - is it just fresh ginger and hot water?! I’m due af in couple of days and don’t want it to be late so I can start TTC again in next cycle so might try this ginger tip xxx

Sorry to hear AF arrived. Such a horrid feeling when it arrives. That’s interesting about energy drinks. There’s so much to think about isn’t there. So hard to know what’s best. Always good to get more of an understanding about our bodies so go for it! You’ve conceived before so it can happen again. Life has it’s cruel ways of making us wait!

Is it me or does everyone’s AF seem to be coming late! ?? Cruel really as it’s getting everyone’s hopes up!!
