TTC after MC - Aug/Sept 2020 (Thread 12)

@HappyVibes yesterday my test lines were fainter than the control line, But today the test line is quite alot darker than the control line. I tested at 8am with first urine today and it wasnt quite as dark but did another test around 11am and the test line is that much darker it appeared even before the control line and same again on the test i did at 3pm too xx

Ah @KatiePlus3 I see. What are your lines like? Are they as dark as each other? Is it darker or as dark as the control line? Xx

@MinnieMouse4 this sounds exciting. It sounds like you definitely are well covered for that FW, so this could definitely be the one. How many DPO are you?

@KatiePlus3 have you got a pic? It’ll depend on what your lines are like as everyone CD’s are different of when is best to DTD. If you share you pic everyone is really helpful on here x

Evening guys! well the photo i wanted you all to look at doesnt need to be looked at now because i have tested twice today and the test line is much darker than the control line :) this is cycle day 13 for me. when were/are the best days to dtd? ive dtd every day since cycle day 9 xx

Update from me, I’ve been away last week and didn’t manage to keep up with CB OPKs to get the static but fingers crossed the dtd the days before I left have done the job as I got EWCM in the days before I left too. I managed to get a nasty UTI the day before I returned home so have had some blood in my urine (sorry TMI) but the doctor thought the blood was coming from my uterus which it definitely wasn’t. Anyhoo AF is around the corner and whilst I would be overjoyed with a BFP I’m not going to get my hopes up and this will be my first AF since MC so I can start fresh again when it does come.

I am also trying not to symptom spot but one of my early pregnancy symptoms are weird dreams and the past 2 nights I have had crazy dreams so that could be interesting.

i never got a smiley face on my tests then instead of a proper period I had ten days of very light bleeding, never had a period like it so hoping it was a one off. Was a crappy month as was same month as my due date.

This month I didn’t do any ovulation tests as was on holiday and just tried to DTD around when I thought it might be.

I did do a test Friday night which was negative...hoping as it was in the evening and too early it didn’t really mean anything. I’m trying to be positive and hope something happens this week. I felt crampy for a couple of days leading up to the weekend. Honestly so confused this month.

@Firevie You will feel disappointed about missing FW... I had this a few times with OH when he was working away last year. You can't help but feel sad about it. You've had a lovely break though and lots of fun on holiday and plus it sounds like you are in a good positive headspace and focused on all the right things 😊 xx

@MichT4 Aww he is just adorable! I love puppies 😍. They are a handful but so worth it xx

@Firevie it's rubbish you may have missed ovulation but you have had a lovely break and reset your body. When you get home you can dtd for fun rather than because you have too. Enjoy the rest of tour holiday and have a safe journey home on Tuesday xx

@Sully84 so are you in your TWW now lovely & at the end of it? Have you been strong & resisted the testing? What makes you think you had an anovulatory month babe? Xx

@BEESY90 sorry you are going through this. I went to A&E initially and it was a waste of time, all they would do was a blood test to tell me it showed I was pregnant and booked me in for a scan with the EPU a few days later. Hope you are able to rest as much as possible right now.

I am assuming my period is due in the next couple of days (last one wasn’t a proper period as I think I had an Anovulatory month). Been symptom spotting loads even though I know it’s pointless.

@MichT4 awww look at the little monkey- such a cute little one! Thanks you’re right we just put too much on hold with this TTC journey. I’m upset but nothing I can do about it. Also, FYI - have updated all my apps and have recorded cd17 as my peak and have marked today as ovulation - is that right?! Weirdly enough premom is still predicting next FW around cd31 in October / they always predict it so late just like this time round when it was off by two weeks! I think I will start testing cd12 again leading up ago cd17. But will do a combination of cheap OPKS and cbd- what do you ladies think? And @VP91x you really are the TTC guru Xxx

@Pugprincess and anyone else that asked, he is following us around. Mainly OH. He was so naughty with me this morning and as soon as he woke he was good as gold, sleeping by his feet. Little monkey xx

@Firevie definitely the right attitude lovely. We can't be putting everything on hold and adding to the anxiety for missing FW. Enjoy the last day or two in Austria

@HappyVibes @VP91x thank you ladies! Yep I’ve made semi peace with the fact that I’ve missed the window this time round but it will give me the time to get back to my healthy routine after all the drinks and food on holiday - not good!! It was just cos of the holiday now that OH and I weren’t together but we are usually together! So will catch next cycle :) I’ve had a lovely spa day with my friend but we have had to much to eat and drink so are sat in our room now feeling sick lol! Went for a lovely hike as well though and caught in a thunderstorm lol all very adventurous!! Only two more sleeps until I’m back with OH - I miss him now.
Will keep doing an OPKS for the next couple of days as you ladies have suggested

@BEESY90 hi lovely I am so sorry about what you're going through.

Yours sounds a lot like mine, it started as dark blood for me and then went red. I rang EPU they offered me a scan the following day or I could come in immediately for a check. I wanted to be seen ASAP so went in they did a check, took bloods and booked me in to come back two days later for further bloods and a scan. I do wish in hindsight that I'd opted to wait for the scan as I felt it dragged out a little
Waiting for bloods but I think they wanted the bloods as that's more conclusive than scan x

@HappyVibes personally the CM thing is not an indicator for me. I had CM right up until AF so heavy that I kept thinking my period was there! So sorry I don't have an answer about that. Trying my best not to do any symptom spotting or guessing because I've had myself convinced 2 cycles in a row. I was even vomiting last month and completely off some foods. Time will tell for me 😞 praying for itchy pits though like @MichT4😂

@Bl0ndi3 I'm so pleased for you that things are getting back on track and you are feeling more positive! You are definitely covered if you do that 😊 and always a bonus being able to have a few drinks - you deserve to celebrate! Xx

Yes you are obviously super fertile and everything seems to be lining up nicely for you - your body has had a reset with having a FW between and now you are ready! It must have been so hard having 3 losses in succession but I agree, our journeys only make us stronger. You also have the most positive attitude which is really contagious ✨ I am hopeful for you too lovely - sending baby dust your way 🌈 xx

Yeah mumsnet was just getting me down as I wasn't focusing on myself enough and seeing other people's BFPs etc... I'm still hurting emotionally but not as much or as often and physically I'm feeling really good been running and eating healthily and haven't been smoking or vaping since my BFP in July obviously and feeling the benefit of that too.

Hopefully we catch but if we don't I think that will be okay too I'm just so glad to be going back to normal so we can try again.

Ah thank you ladies for sharing. I feel like we go through tough journeys cos we are strong enough too. & it changes us in so many ways for the better...although it takes a while to realise that of course. Some things are worth the wait - our magical babies will be for sure worth the wait. I am sure you ladies will be positive, successful & inspirational stories very very soon 💓

We started TTC in November but we had no idea wth we were doing for the first 3months haha we look back now & giggle at how naive we were.

So we properly started TTC in January - caught that first month, but that was our first chemical. Then we caught again in March - had a private 8week scan, all was perfect. Sadly at the 12 week NHS scan there was no heartbeat. We started TTC straight away - caught in the window before AF -this was our second chemical. So we have had one cycle since. And now this is our second FW since so we are mega hopeful as we are clearly fertile. 💫

Well we DTD the day before peak (yesterday) and will aim to DTD tomorrow so should have covered it well. But last cycle was day of peak and day after and we caught xx

It's my 30th birthday next Sunday so I'm glad I will be able to drink as I'll only be like 5dpo by then 😇😇😇

@Bl0ndi3 amazing news! I fully feel why you are so excited! I was the exact same last month when we had a mega long stint of flashies too! Yipeee for you guys. @Bl0ndi3 Sorry you have been having a bit of hard time with things, being in limbo and not knowing what your body is doing is the worst! Having said that - yay for static and peak opk!! I bet you feel so much better knowing what's going on. Dtd on day of peak and day after is what I've done this cycle as well - fingers crossed ✨🤞🏼🌈 xx

@HappyVibes I came off the pill last August after our wedding but had to wait a couple of months to try in case of Zika (we had been to Jamaica). We started ttc baby number 1 in November/December and caught in April, missed miscarriage diagnosed at 8 weeks at the beginning of June which I had an mva procedure for. It took 6 weeks to get a negative pregnancy test after the procedure and then af arrived at almost 9 weeks after mc. I did ovulate between the mc and af but this is the first 'proper' cycle for me since the mc.

What is your story lovely? I know you said when you came on the thread but it's hard to remember everyone's different experiences as there are a lot of us!
