@RichmondLady1981 welcome to the thread, sorry for what you've gone through but we're all hopeful that we will get our BFPs and 🌈 babies soon ☺️ you're absolutely right that this group is so knowledgeable and I've learnt so much from the fab ladies on here!

In answer to your questions I noticed EWCM the day prior and day of ovulation.
In terms of apps I really like Glow (paid for premium to get rid of the ads) and Fertility Friend was recommended by a few ladies on here. It's quite basic looking but it's really great for if you're temping.
Are you using Clearblue digital ovulation tests at all? Myself and a few of the others have found it's quite useful to do alongside the cheapie OPKs to help pinpoint peak days xxx

LAcain · 31/08/2020 22:33

Hi ladies, sorry I was AWOL this last week. Despite trying to be positive my first AF hit us so hard. Me and the OH have had a fair few tears coming to terms with it not happening despite being “extra fertile”. He was sure we were on for a winner and convinced it was going to be twins with all the positive post mc stories so we’ve been struggling with being officially back In the ttc club.
Anyone else had the crazy optimistic hopes first cycle post mmc?

Anyway, quick update, we’re about to start FW (based on pre mmc cycles) so here we go again!

Going to have a good read of all the missed posts now but hope everyone is doing okay.

KatiePlus3 · 31/08/2020 22:24

@RichmondLady1981 i got my EWCM the day before my LH surge, EWCM was cycle day 12 and Surge was cycle day 13 xx

Lollol86 · 31/08/2020 22:04

@RichmondLady1981 I've just checked Ovia and I recorded ewcm 2 days before I got a positive test on my last cycle which was the one I caught on xx

HappyVibes · 31/08/2020 21:48

@Sully84 bless you. Sometimes we need a good cry, we are all humans & we do need that release and to feel all the emotions is healthy. Your cramp like feelings could be PG, not AF?

@RichmondLady1981 sorry lovely I’m not the best with LH strips, I need the CBD just to ensure I’m on the right track. But with CM, it sounds like you are very much in your FW now? Are you DTD? Xxx

RichmondLady1981 · 31/08/2020 21:24

@Sully84

By the way, I had sensations similar to period cramps before both of my BFP!! So hang in there!

RichmondLady1981 · 31/08/2020 21:22

@HappyVibes @Northernsoul90
Thank you both- am just currently on CD13. Im on cycle 3 and temping. Just started testing for ov as I don’t usually ovulate until day 19. Did LH test today and is a very faint line so I guess I just keep on testing until I suspect close to peak? I’ll do twice a day as things change quickly.

I’m using natural cycles app... anyone use this or recommend a better app?

Can I ask you all a question please? I’ve noticed EWCM today (I think!) but according to LH strips and previous cycles, am a few days off ovulation. How close do you all notice EWCM before getting your LH peak? Is it normal to get EWCM approx a week before predicted ovulation? Would be very interested to know your thoughts. You’re a very knowledgable bunch!

@MichT4
Thank you! Agreed it is much easier with ladies who have experienced the same and understand how I feel. Unless you’ve been through it, it’s impossible to understand.

@MinnieMouse4 I would always say to wait as long as possible (easier said than done I know! ) But I’d rather have the excitement and anticipation of a possible pregnancy than the disappointment of a test taken too soon. Smile

@2020wish
I agree clear blue ultra early are a good choice. Got mine at 9DPO and was a good line.

So nice to chat to you. If anyone has any advise for a newbie (anything at all) I’d be very grateful. Smile

Ps there are nowhere near enough emojis on here for my liking! X

Sully84 · 31/08/2020 21:02

Just catching up on PST day of thread. @HappyVibes loving your positivity...hopefully some will rub off on me!

I woke up with period cramps this morning and had a good cry...some months I can just feel not so bad and pick myself up, other months it feels worse. Period hasn’t arrived yet but feeling it is inevitable now (whilst also holding on to that tiny hope until AF actually arrives).

I will WILL WILL finally get my act together to start losing weight and be the healthiest I can.

Reading what some of you have gone through feels me with awe at all your strength....can’t wait to hear of some BFP for you all x

MinnieMouse4 · 31/08/2020 18:51

@2020wish I don’t think I’ve ever used one of those but it’s good to keep an eye out for them. I usually use the supermarkets own brands or the dip ones and then confirm with a CB xx

2020wish · 31/08/2020 18:48

@MinnieMouse4 sorry, first response early response that many people recommend but they don’t show early for a few people myself included x

MinnieMouse4 · 31/08/2020 18:45

@2020wish what is a frer? Xx

2020wish · 31/08/2020 18:43

@MinnieMouse4 I got my BFP at 7dpo on a clear blue ultra early. And positive digital 10dpo. Frer never work for me always stark white like @chloedancer897 said x

MinnieMouse4 · 31/08/2020 18:37

AF is due on Thursday and I’m expecting a longer cycle than usual so I may just wait and if AF hasn’t arrived by Saturday morning then I will test then xx

chloedancer897 · 31/08/2020 18:22

@MinnieMouse4 I keep getting UTI symptoms too. (I keep thinking it's because of all the DTD 😂). It's up to you. An early response test can show at 10-11DPO but then sometimes they don't work for some people like @2020wish and @MichT4 Also depends whether you want to test or just wait for AF. It's hard to know what's the best thing to do.

@MichT4 let yourself be sad sometimes. You need to process the grief too. It's worse to hold it all in. I had a moment too buying baby clothes for my friend. I had a sinking feeling I'd never be buying them for myself. It was such a horrible feeling. We will get those BFPs. I know you will! Xo

MinnieMouse4 · 31/08/2020 17:52

@MichT4 I really don’t know what to do. I think I ovulated towards the end of dtd (which was 9 days ago now and 10 days dpo according to Flo) so I’m not sure a BFP would even show up now? I’m trying my best to keep it out of my mind and test when AF is late but the days are feeling so much longer when I do that!

I’m also confused about symptoms. I’m having lower back and side pains due to UTI which could be masking AF pains.

When would you ladies recommend I test? Xxxx

MichT4 · 31/08/2020 17:39

@chloedancer897 I am just as guilty of the same thoughts, every now and again I just think it's not going to happen. I went out today and couldn't resist bathroom toys for the puppy. I came home and said to OH that they probably aren't great for him but I feel like I'm never going to buy these things for our baby. He just came and sat next to me and I had a moment of real sadness. So you're not alone. I'm terrified of being hopeful and positive at times.
But I just try and tell myself that it can happen, and there's no reason next time it won't stick like glue. I think I'd struggle with a lot of things if I let myself think otherwise

@susiebluebell it sounds dreamy! I think living somewhere like that will do wonders for your mind and soul! When is your place ready?

@Firevie how are you feeling? Don't worry about those numbers. Again it will vary depending on dilution etc. That's why FF is good with the basic positive or negative

@RichmondLady1981 welcome to the group, and so sorry for your loss. Certainly is a rollercoaster but is a much more bearable one with these ladies

@MinnieMouse4 ooh not long at all. Will you wait to test? Sorry if I asked that already, or you've told me already

xx

susiebluebell · 31/08/2020 17:38

@HappyVibes @Firevie @MinnieMouse4 You ladies are right. POSITIVITY! AND SEA SWIMMING!

HappyVibes · 31/08/2020 16:29

@chloedancer897 I fully fell ya girl! We were the same with baby names & with planning the announcement. Just try and remind yourself that you absolutely are both fertile & have the exact same chance as you did have the month where you did get your BFP, so you are well and truly in the game lovely. Bless you. Sending you lots of chilled & relaxed positive vibes girl 💓

chloedancer897 · 31/08/2020 16:19

@HappyVibes @MichT4 thank you guys. Oh, to have your positivity! I do yoga and Accupuncture so I'm hoping that'll help me work on being such a negative nancy! I suppose it's because I really went overboard the last time I got a BFP (ordering baby clothes, planning our baby reveal post, picking names), I just can't let myself be hopeful. I've lost a lot of that hope. But you guys are so right. I need to be a bit kinder to myself. I wouldn't even tell DH when AF is due because I can't cope with him being quietly hopeful as the time draws nearer.

MinnieMouse4 · 31/08/2020 16:14

@MichT4 AF is due on Thursday according to Flo app which are usually pretty bang on but this is first AF post MC so expecting for it to be a little late. The crazy dreams continue (although I’m not symptom spotting ... honest!) 😁

@RichmondLady1981 welcome and sorry to hear of your loss 💖

@susiebluebell I can totally relate to what you said. I had stopped TTC last year and then all of a sudden I was pregnant and all I keep thinking now is that it was a fluke and won’t happen again but we have to stay positive. If it is one thing I have learned from this group is the mindset that we absolutely are fertile and it will happen again for us 🤞🏻

@chloedancer897 I fell pregnant after only dtd once in that cycle and it was what I thought was after my FW so if you have dtd then there is always a chance. I have everything crossed for you.

Xx

Bl0ndi3 · 31/08/2020 15:46

@Northernsoul90 @MichT4 @susiebluebell @Lollol86
Thanks ladies I intend on having a few won't go crazy tho, won't be able to resist the cocktails at the place I'm going for dinner haha!
♥️ I've been really careful since my first BFP and cut out everything like caffeine diet fizzy drinks etc and continued with it after the MC so I think I can allow myself a drink on my 30th

Firevie · 31/08/2020 14:23

@VP91x just seen your message! Sorry to hear you have a terrible cold but glad no Covid! Stay in bed and drink lots of tea ! Xxx

Northernsoul90 · 31/08/2020 14:19

@Bl0ndi3 I totally agree with @MichT4 celebrate and enjoy!! Life gets pretty drab otherwise and ttc can be all consuming at the best of times xx

@VP91x Hope you're feeling better soon! And glad the test was negative xx

@RichmondLady1981 Hello and welcome! So sorry for your loss 💖 - I also had a mmc in June. Whereabouts are you in your cycle? Sending lots of baby dust your way! Xx

HappyVibes · 31/08/2020 13:05

@RichmondLady1981 of course lovely - welcome. Sorry to hear of your MMC - these journeys we are all on are so sad, but so inspiring to see how strong we can be and how much we can overcome as couples, and as individuals.

Do you know where you’re up to in your cycle at the moment if you have had a couple of months off? We too had our MMC in June. What a very surreal experience with the Covid situation etc. Sending you lots of baby dust. Sounds like you know yourself and OH well and looked after yourselves well by taking a bit of a break if you needed it. 💓

RichmondLady1981 · 31/08/2020 12:56

Hi lovely ladies.

I’ve read through every single thread on my journey back from Cornwall to London! Learnt so much from you all and loved reading the success stories.

Ready to try again after my mmc in June. Had two regular(ish) cycles since and fancy getting back on the bike.

Mind if I join you on the rollercoaster? X Smile
