TTC after MC - Aug/Sept 2020 (Thread 12)

Hello - I disappeared for most of August as it was a tough month, we lost 2 pets and I struggled with the thiught if going back to work when I should have been starting maternity. I’m trying to go back and catch up, but I have missed a few threads lol!

I’m currently 12dpo (cd26) but cracked for the first time in months and did a test that was bfn - so although I haven’t had my normal pre-af spotting this month that started post mc - I think I’m out this month :( which will make it cycle 9 since mc. On a plus if it’s that my hormones are finally back to normal and my af goes back to what it did before mc, it might mean I’m a step closer to being a mummy!!

@MichT4 I have tried to catch up as much as possible, but may have missed some bits - I’m sorry to see things have been pretty tough recently! I have always admired you positivity and that will always be there even on the days you might not feel it, and I really believe our time will come (although I hate it when people say stay positive and it will happen when it happens - we all know that, but I swear people who aren’t on the ttc journey should be banned from saying it to those that are!!) Is your little collie boy keeping you busy? xx

@VP91x How are you getting on with the scans etc - have they been happening quite quickly for you? I’ve been putting off ringing the Dr’s, but if af arrives in the next couple of days then I will, I know I fell pregnant in Jan, but to have then had 9cycles at my age I think they might let me start the process of investigating 🤞🏻Xx

@RichmondLady1981 Yes I'm teaching, this week has been really chaotic and I'm not happy in my current school (soooo much pressure from SLT) so feeling a little stressed 😰. How have you found it? I really hope you get your static soon!! I just use clear blue opks and have always just used them once a day with fmu and got a static that way - you can use them more than once a day though I think once they are flashing. I am the same during FW I feel that DH gets a bit sulky as he knows I only really want to dtd for ttc purposes 🙈 needs must! Xx

@chloedancer897 yeah I think temps aren't great for trying to confirm pregnancy etc, unless you have a picture perfect cycle. What does your chart look like? Sounds like it's still nice and high though which is good

Temp is down today but it's still high? So still higher than my pre ovulation temps by loads, I haven't a clue what to make. I did sit for hours last night and read all about BBT for predicting pregnancy and apparently it's awful for that so I'm not reading much into it 😂

@Rb486 I'm in a similar boat with waiting for AF. The GP wasn't keen at all to give me anything to bring on a bleed, but because I haven't bled since a MC I am at least possibly going to get some help from EPU if it doesn't arrive in a week. I'm just worried they'll suggest a procedure to clear everything out when all I want is some Provera to bring on a bleed. It's so tough, and definitely adds to already high anxiety!

And thank you for your lovely message. I'm being kept busy with the pup and have distanced myself a bit from family who I used to talk to about it all more. But I actually feel better just dealing with it in my own way, rather than have people think they can judge how I feel

@Tink20058 keeping on our toes is an understatement. He's so naughty sometimes. But he's good more than he's naughty, just counting the days until we can take him out because I think he's just bored and needs stimulation/exercise.
How are you getting on? Must be getting bigger now?

@MinnieMouse4 I'm glad you're feeling ok about it. I'm totally with you though - once you know it's probably not your month, you just want AF to show. Hopefully won't be long, especially with some possible cramps. Sometimes I wonder if it's the power of the mind with us willing it to stay away. Once you know and accept it, AF kicks in. The same happened with me and both MC bleeding, where it was light until I had the MC confirmed, and that night it was full flow both times. Not sure why the same hasn't happened this time.

To be honest, after some advice from some of the ladies here, I am wondering whether this last one was still the previous pregnancy that hadn't stopped producing a tiny amount of hcg. I can't believe I wouldn't have bled when it was pretty much a chemical. Who knows.

@MrsK21 yay! For your static 😊 yeah I know, I just feel like they won’t do much? They’ll probably just say wait it out. Just feel like it’s so cruel... our bodies doing this after all we’ve been through. Why can’t it just be straight forward? Lol!

@MinnieMouse4 sorry it was a BFN this morning but glad to hear you're not too down about it. Next month is our month!

@RichmondLady1981 I used the CB digi sticks in the morning and supplemented with cheapies at 2pm and 6pm to catch my surge. I got a peak on my evening cheapie the morning I got my static smiley on CB. I think some use the CB twice a day in case they get lots of flashies every morning but you may be ok using once a day.

@Rb486 and @MichT4 hoping AF turns up for you sooner or later. @Rb486 definitely worthwhile getting your GP in the loop sooner rather than later

@Northernsoul90 thanks hun. I'm feeling fine about AF, I think this cycle would've been a long shot anyways with the Provera bleeding at the beginning as well and spotting through the whole of it. It must've affected my lining so I would have been really worried if a bean did implant with all that spotting. How are you feeling? Are your temps still high? Back to school sounds really tough but hoping you settle into the swing of things soon. Does make the thread harder to catch up with though when working in the day!!

@HappyVibes are you testing again this morning or waiting till Sunday? I'm dying to know how you got on! Xxx

@MichT4 I feel ok about it although I was a bit gutted as I had dreamt I had a BFP. According to normal cycle length, AF was due Thursday/Friday but having had some information from @VP91x about luteal phase, it could be that AF isn’t actually due until tomorrow at the earliest. I do think I’m having AF pains now thinking about it. I won’t be too disheartened about AF arriving this time but I just don’t want to have an extra long cycle xx

@Sully84 I’m in the same position. According to CB ovulation tests I ovulated on CD11, I’m now CD35, no AF and negative tests. It feels like it’s on its way at times and doesn’t come. May ring dr at the end of next week if it hasn’t arrived. Just adds to our anxiety doesn’t it? Hopefully they both come soon or we get delayed BFP.

@RichmondLady1981 I used cb in a morning then bought cheap tests for the afternoon/evening to keep an eye on levels it was my lucky last cb stick I got my static after 11 days of flashes xx

@RichmondLady1981 hello! Lovely to hear from you, and thank you - still no sign! Exciting you are close to ovulation now, and good luck for some spiced up DTD later 🍆.
I think some do use the CB OPK twice a day at this stage as your surge could come later. Do you have any cheapies you can do alongside? If it was dark you could test again maybe using the CB?

Sorry I’ve been rubbish this week at writing. I’ve been reading every day on the tube and excited to see some possible BFP!!! Good luck to those who are still to test and sorry to those been visited by dreaded AF. I’m so overwhelmed by how positive you guys are. I totally agree about starting a fresh cycle and being grateful that our bodies are finally getting back into sync.

Sorry if I’ve missed anyone’s comments. Frantically trying to get back into the loop! So a bit of an update from me. CD 18 of a 32/33 day cycle. Close to ovulating now so in FW. DTD but like a few other suggested it’s not easy when DH knows it’s because of TTC and not for fun. I understand but still, needs must! Wish me luck for later 🤦🏼‍♀️ Might have to spice things Up a bit. 😂 💃 Flashing face on CB so waiting with bated breath for the static so can properly go for it this month. I’ve always ovulate slightly later into my cycle and then fell into the trap of googling short LH phase. What a minefield. Mine usually 10/11 days which isn’t great but I’ve been told it’s enough. Any knowledge or experience on this?

CM playing tricks on me. One day it’s clear. Then goes creamy again then back to clear. Good job I’m using OPK otherwise I’d be super confused. I’m temping too so i think it’s a good way to pinpoint.

Quick question, at this stage I’ve read it’s good to test twice a day for LH? In case you miss the surge? What are your experiences?

@HappyVibes no I'm going to hold off until Monday, I'm out with my daughter tomorrow and working Sunday so Monday is the only day I could do it. AF due Tuesday for me. I went overkill with tests the last two months and started getting line eyes so if I get the BFN on Monday then I'll know AF is coming as pla. SD

We will probably test daily now just because I know what we are like haha. Even though I know we should leave it till Sunday...We will see. One app says AF Sunday & one says Monday 🤷‍♀️ but I can’t call it nowadays post MC. Have you decided on tomorrow? What test have you got? Xxx

@HappyVibes nothing wrong with being optimistic! The digital ones are unreliable before AF is due. When are you testing again? When is AF due?

I've never temped before so I don't know what to make of it. I'm just waiting for the big drop to be honest

Thanks @VP91x I did want FRER but I couldn’t blooming find any in Asda or Tesco this evening - I need to nip to town tomorrow so I’ll pick some up from boots or Superdrug. At least it’ll stop me testing tomorrow. Xxxx

Hahah I’ve had my moment of madness now....crazy woman let loose for a while this evening wow haha. My emotions were all over place. But I’ve researched into it and I know not to take anything from it...lesson learnt not to be a freak and just follow instructions lmao. Although it was a nice pick me up & reminder for my optimism and glimmer of hope. We will test again either Sunday or Monday 😘
