As the title says really! 😆🙈
How long did it take you to fall pregnant after your implant removal?
I had mine out on 4th August and haven't had AF yet.. 🤔

I had my implant out after 6 years in June. It was 1 implant...I know, I know(!) but I had an awful experience with my previous implant removal previously, and then I kept forgetting and then avoiding getting it changed/removed.

I figured it had expired because I'd started having normal periods, and I was therefore not trying but not preventing.

Turns out it must have been doing something still because I got pregnant the following cycle in July. Sadly I had an early miscarriage in August so baby didn't stick, but I'm hopeful for future cycles.

I had my implant out in January, bled for 3 weeks straight so that was fun Hmm then tested positive in early March. My DC is now 2 Smile

I was worried as I had the implant for 12 years. Rarely any periods in that time but I got lucky. Good luck and happy trying Wink

@DNpink82 oh no how frustrating! Sounds exactly like how I felt with AF cramping but no sign of AF for several weeks 😭 hope she comes soon! X x

@gems05 I wouldn't mind if them cramps actually led to anything but still no AF 🙄 I just know she's gonna arrive while we're on holiday, I thought 5 weeks before would of been enough time to have AF out of the way 😞

ttc97 · 06/09/2020 21:25

I was in the implant for 6 years total with no break (had two) and had veryyyyyy irregular periods / bleeds whilst on it..
Has it removed on 4th Aug and had my AF on 31st August! So pleased xx

@DNpink82 I know what you mean. After so long with around one (poor excuse for a) period per year it's been very strange having them now after I stopped bf DS!

gems05 · 06/09/2020 19:14

@DNpink82 ohh your body will remember! 😳 judging from these cramps on Thursday/Friday

Typically the one thing I'd love to avoid altogether (period/cramps) that I actually need to have for TTC 🙄

DNpink82 · 06/09/2020 17:27

@Elmo230885 I've not had any periods at all for the last 10 years with it in and before that I'd been on the pill since I was 16/17. I can't even remember what a normal period is like 🙈 I just hope my ovaries still know how to work 😬

Elmo230885 · 06/09/2020 15:54

@DNpink82 when I initially had it out I had a very light period and then fell pregnant. I was 30 when I had it out.
When I had the implants in my periods pretty much stopped. Prior to having implants my periods had always been light and irregular so I'd not even thought about any kind of ovulation tracking!

Dollybird89 · 06/09/2020 07:56

I had mine out Nov 2018.. No af until Oct 19 mini pill until Feb this year and been ttc ever since but still no bfp

Moooms · 05/09/2020 23:51

I had mine out, had one period, and then fell pregnant the next cycle. I used OPK as I was so impatient! I was very lucky it seems.

I wish you all lots of luck in your TTC journeys! X

ttc97 · 05/09/2020 23:41

@ShalomToYouJackie firstly can I say.. I love your username SO much 🥰😍 I am a massive Friday night dinner fan 😂🙈

Secondly- how amazing is that?! I'm hoping I will fall quickly.. I'm anything like my mum, auntie etc they all fell pregnant on their first cycle TTC 🥳🎉

A month, didn't have a period first!

ttc97 · 05/09/2020 22:39

Amazing thank you all! I've just had my first AF after removal of the implant on 4th August. Af came on 31st August, so now waiting to see what happens ovulation wise. Hoping I fall fast! Xx

I had my nexplanon removed on 29th August after 15 years total, regular periods throughout though. I'm still waiting to see how my body adjusts but tracking based on what my cycle was before for the time being!

Hall84 · 05/09/2020 22:14

My implant was removed at the end of March last year. I'd had it for around 5 years. First AF around 6 weeks later and my little girl was born in February this year. Good luck!

Honey0611 · 05/09/2020 22:07

I had mine out after 9 years on the 13th August and still waiting. To be honest getting really impatient now as want to start tracking. Just got to remain motivated!

DNpink82 · 05/09/2020 21:36

@Elmo230885 did you have any normal periods between removal and conceiving? I had mine in for 10 years so expected things to take a while but now it's out I'm being impatient. I'm also 38 so I feel my clock is ticking 😬

Elmo230885 · 05/09/2020 20:40

I had an implant for 9 years (obvs replaced as needed). Got a positive test about 7 weeks after it was removed. My DH had spoken to friends of his and they had told him it took them around a year so his face was a picture when I told him. I had the implant put back in for a little over a year and when it was removed it was about 12 weeks until the positive test (mostly as having a 1 year old really hinders ttc). I appreciate we were very fortunate.
All the best to those of you ttc x

DNpink82 · 05/09/2020 20:27

Feeling a bit deflated, no AF arrived. 2 days of a pink tinge but nothing, I had awful cramps and now I'm exhausted constantly but still don't know where I'm up to 🤷‍♀️ I know it's not been long but I just want to get started on our ttc journey 😞

DNpink82 · 03/09/2020 13:29

@gems05 I've been spotting for 2 days, still bloated and cramps but no AF yet 🙄 we go on holiday in 11 days so hoping it hurries up 🙈

gems05 · 03/09/2020 13:15

@DNpink82 I had mine out on 11th too and the last few days have had cramps thinking AF on the way. Today I have some spotting so I'm guessing later today or tomoz should be full swing. Least I can start proper tracking now 😁

DNpink82 · 01/09/2020 19:48

@ttc97 I've got a job interview tomorrow morning so hope these cramps do one 🤣 I just want a period so we can move forward

ttc97 · 01/09/2020 19:43

@DNpink82 fab news, hope AF arrives tomorrow 💓
I thought the same Sunday night, was in agony with stomach cramping, although I actually have been each day since removal 😩🤦🏼‍♀️
'AF' came with a vengeance on Monday morning, I was doubled over in pain all day and in tears and then today it's completely fizzled out into nothing but a slight pink tinge when wiping.. sorry, TMI! 😅 so gutted. I think this was my 'withdrawal bleed' so to speak. Not sure if you still ovulate after a withdrawal / breakthrough bleed or not. Feel a bit cheated haha! 😩 xx

DNpink82 · 01/09/2020 18:55

So looks like AF is coming today/tomorrow, massive cramps, bloated and a pink tinge (tmi 🤣). It's exactly 3 weeks since I had my implant out, hopefully we can start trying properly now and I'm happy it's come now and not when I'm on holiday in 2 weeks 🙈🤣
