Possible early bfp?

Hi ladies. I'm new. Looking for some advice, thought I would ask those of you who have been doing this a while, hpt experts lol. I came off the pill 3 weeks ago, i had a bleed which lasted 5 days. We started trying straight away. I didn't use opks because I don't want to end up obsessed I just want to relax and let it happen. I don't know if or when I ovulated but I've been feeling exhausted for 2 days, I had some TMI brown blood yesterday and this morning. Just a little bit. I have been constantly peeing today so I done a test and there appears to be some kind of line.... Very very very faint. It came up straight away as the dye went over it and it got lighter. So it seemed to pick up something. I've got a picture. I don't know if it will show up but I just wondered if it could be the start of a bfp? I've used these tests a couple of years ago and I don't remember ever seeing this. Any opinions would be helpful. Damn I can't add a picture....why can't I add a picture?

Hi OP, I got a false positive on these tests recently. Not trying to be a downer at all but I had a line very similar to yours and I was not pregnant. If you read the amazon reviews of these tests they all say they give false positives. Here is my test for reference. I hope this isn’t the case for you and it all works out well x

Bleepers · 31/08/2020 14:47

Why do you keep opening them?

calimommy · 31/08/2020 14:31

I've just looked back and your first post was 6days ago. If you had a faint + at that point it should be a significant line by now. When is AF due? I'm going to err on the side of these are not positive.

FxBB2020 · 31/08/2020 14:09

Take a frer-much easier to interpret!

calimommy · 31/08/2020 13:51

I think there is a squinter but hard to tell with that test.

Stabal · 31/08/2020 13:25

@Mumster09 I see it. I'd expect it to be a bit more darker by now though.. When are you due on?

Mumster09 · 31/08/2020 10:56

I know what your all going to say... I opened the tests. But in my defence I couldn't get a damn picture to show what I'm seeing with my own eyes because the transparent film of plastic kept causing a glare on the pictures. So please don't have a go at me lol

When is A F due and when do you think you ovulated?

Mumster09 · 30/08/2020 11:17

Sooo.... I done a test first thing and it was almost non existant. Refused to believe it and done another one a couple of hours later and its the same as yesterday's... If not a teeny weeny bit darker. What's that all about??

Mumster09 · 29/08/2020 19:42

Your all getting my hopes up now 😂😂 I've had a horrible headache all day and with all the confusion I've been so disheartened. I really hope it gets darker tomorrow

OP posts:
calimommy · 29/08/2020 19:34

I would also say you are likely pregnant but very early. Use the tests as they are meant to be used and wait for FMU tomorrow or the next day x

Mooey89 · 29/08/2020 19:14

I think you are pregnant 🙈 try again in 48 hours x

Mumster09 · 29/08/2020 18:29

I never thought of that 🤔 if your very early and you get such faint lines is it possible for them to disappear after a while? Someone has also told me that those ebay one step tests almost always have faint lines aswell... So now I really don't know what to think. Maybe they're so faint because it's crappy cheap tests and I'm getting my hopes up for nothing 😢

OP posts:
calimommy · 29/08/2020 18:08

It might not have faded if you didn't open it though, the way the tests dry differ once they are opened.

Mumster09 · 29/08/2020 18:02

It's just so faint I can't get a good picture without opening it lol. I can't be the only woman to not be able to resist having a closer look 😂 sorry. It faded away after a while anyway, so I don't really know what to think. It looks negative now

OP posts:
calimommy · 29/08/2020 15:46

I think that looks good but you must stop snapping them open 😂 they are void once you do that. Use the IC if you want to have plain strip tests -they are just as good. Test again tomorrow and you should see a darker line 🤞

Mumster09 · 29/08/2020 09:37

This is today's..... At a guess I would say I'm super early and I started testing waaaaaaay too soon lol but I really have no idea what I'm doing. It's still really faint but this seems to be the darkest so far.... Yesterday's was barely there at all and I was so upset all day.

Not only is my back still sore but now I'm getting a sore hip, like an ache from my hip to my knee. I'm just falling apart lol

Mumster09 · 27/08/2020 18:33

I know it can take months, but I read it you can ovulate within 2 weeks, and I wouldn't of even tested if I wasn't feeling so weird. If I am I'm clearly very early, if the tests are very faint. I bought 25 of them so I'll be testing every day hoping it gets darker lol

OP posts:
Stabal · 27/08/2020 16:23

@Mumster09 don't worry, that's what us long term TTCers are for 😂 it is possible the brown spotting could also be ovulation in which case you're not completely out yet. But most times unfortunately it can take months for cycles to return to normal after the pill so it also could just be your body adjusting. I would wait a few more days and take another test and see if the line is darker and go from there! 🤞

Mumster09 · 27/08/2020 15:49

The first test I done was a test strip, but I couldn't put that pic up because it wouldn't let me. I just got these tests in the post today. I didn't know not to open them. Sorry 😞

OP posts:
Stabal · 27/08/2020 15:36

@Mumster09 I'm confused.. Those 3 pictures look like tests that have a cover on them? What tests were they? They have the little holes that would have the plastic cover held in place..

Curiosity101 · 27/08/2020 14:54

@Mumster09 it's true that if you take a test apart it can invalidate it because it can cause them to look like they're positive when they aren't.

If it's an internet cheapie dip test that doesn't come in a case then that's not a problem as that's how it's meant to be used.

Having said that... I do see a second line on your picture and it does seem pink so it looks very promising. 🙂

Good luck, are you planning to retest tomorrow?

Mumster09 · 27/08/2020 14:13

But the little thin one I done didn't have plastic on it? Hmm

OP posts:
Stabal · 27/08/2020 14:11

@Mumster09 tests are immediately invalid as soon as you open them as it causes them to react with the air and dry out and leave a line. Try again in a couple of days!
