Right SMEP.. determined. Anyone else?

Hey all
I've been ttc for a long time, I had my lap and dye last week which removed all endo visible and unstuck my left ovary from my tube. My tubes are clear. The horrible bleeding that I had after is coming to an end. I'm very determined to try everything I can this month and the following months if I fail.
I have read about this SMEP and I've heard good things about it.
Today I am CD 5 so I am going to start dtd tonight instead of the recommendation of CD 8. I done an ovulation test today (just for fun) there's a second line but very much not positive so going to keep doing them twice a day until I get my surge. Also have some cb advance ones coming tomorrow.

My question is how many people have used this method and been successful on here? Would love to keep chatting to people through these next 6 months if possible as this is kind of the last hurdle before more fertility tests are taken for both me and my DP xx

@1940s i was nervous but decided on dtd this morning may try again tonight for good measure... i have explained to dp now about the smep and he seemed very happy with it after i read him all the success stories online he obviously understands it could take a couple of cycles though. Although if it doesnt happen this month i may skip next month as taking him away for his 40th at the beginning of october so would be good to have a drink.

I had my positive OPK on Friday. According to SMEP we DTD Friday, Saturday and Sunday. And today should be a day off with our final DTD Tuesday.

Anyone feel nervous by missing this day? We're pretty worn out so physically could do with the break but today was my first day of raised temperature. Shall we try for one more day?!

Morning all, well thats it smep followed, we have done everything we can, i still dont think that it will be our month but at least i know we have followed the plan exactly and there is nothing more that could be done.

Sorry just got back from the parents and thoroughly enjoyed my shower feels so much better than just washing in the sink 🙈

OMG glad you have it sorted for her, must have been stressful @Bbdm1984 hope it all gets sorted in time for her to start with the rest 🤞🏻

We did have a couple days at the beginningof last week where we spent a lot of time in bed 😜 but it was way before I had my peak so I don't think those days will result in anything. So now the other DC are home we only have time at night times or morning before anyone in the household is up 😂

I'm feeling quite positive that one of us maybe even all of us will have our bfp this month 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
I'm only 1dpo and already can wait for the next two weeks to fly by. Back to work tomorrow after 2.5 weeks off so hoping it'll go fast x

A friend of mine with three children insists she conceived every time she had sex in the morning. She puts it down to her body being rested and relaxed! I hope that mixing it up a bit helps!

Hi all sorry was mia yesterday dd got a very unexpected call to say the application to be an apprentice welder (which was unsuccessful, after a very promising interview where he basivally said she had got it.. lots of tears especially as all her friends got in for their apprenticeships she was the only one that didnt) had been reviewed and she has now been successful so been running round filling out form and uploading documents to try and get her security clearance through ready to start at the same time as everyone who submitted theirs nearly a month ago. Still managed to dtd last night although didnt have time to use preseed as i wasnt the instigator for once ha, but finally a night off tonight and then one last shot in the morning for good luck.

@Mich2020 i definitely think you have covered yourself with all the bd'ing you have been doing, hope you have a lovely day at your parent and a nice shower ha

@1940s i would love to try different times of the day when i had my bfp in november we concieved in tenerife and only dtd in the afternoon when we went back to our room after our walk, so i have everything crossed that mixing it up works for you

I am really hoping that one if not all of us get our bfp this month xx

Morning ladies. Done another cheap opk this morning, not positive so I will record my ovulation day as yesterday I think I am now officially in the tww.. we dtd this morning again 🙈 think we may have to have a break now though. We've definitely covered ourselves in that way. Off to the parents today for a nice roast and a shower (ours has leaked through to the living room) not being fixed until Wednesday, showering after one end of the bath isn't fun especially with hair to wash!! Hope your all doing okay xx

@1940s we also tried to mix it up with times during the day for dtd this month as we’ve used preseed too

I'm also trying an odd thing this month. I'm trying not to DTD last thing at night just before bed. My first baby was conceived when we DTD in the afternoon... this TTC is making me crazy and I'm willing to try anything!

Think tomorrow will be my day too @1940s got my peak this morning but I am almost sure if I had tested last night it would have been peak too. Very weird cramps too, hoping for a bfp in a couple weeks 🤞🏻🤞🏻 xx

That peak was CD13 for me and I'm very crampy today so I think ov today or tomorrow cd14/15

@Bbdm1984 I know i was so surprised when it came up this morning. Yes we've done it for 6 days now and will do it again tomorrow hopefully.
I don't actually know properly because I haven't followed it at all 🙈 but I think that's right lol x

Hi @Mich2020, @Muda hope you are both well. Woohoo for your solid smiley @Mich2020 at least you know you have had a peak this month and all the bd you have been doing should definitely have you covered.

So with smep do you bd the day you get your peak, the 2 days after then the 5 day? Is that right? So if i got my peak thursday i bd thurs fri sat and monday? Sorry i keep asking just trying to follow exactly x

Good morning. Had my solid smiley face this morning on CB done a cheapie and it's not positive. I am wondering if my CB would have been positive last night because I had a bit of a achy pain in my stomach, I didn't test though. My cheapie still isn't quite positive so I will test with another one this evening. Dtd today anyway and will do it again tomorrow 🤞🏻

@Mich2020 i have read that the first 4 months after you have had the dye you are super fertile so 🤞 you just missed your peak, in regards to opks, the cb are so expensive i would just use ic unless you see it getting darker but obviously you do what you want thats just what i would do in your situation, your opk yesterday was definitely darker and you have definitely covered yourself with all the bd you have been doing. Yes we are both the same time, i am super excited for you, i tend to get all sorts of pregnancy symptoms during the tww and convince myself that i am pregnant and then af arrives and i am gutted so will try not to symptom spot this month but who am i kidding i already know i will, ive even looked last night to see when my due date would be ha (ever the optimists)

@1940s that test line is the same colour as control on that pic so i would definitely say that is a peak

@Bbdm1984 do you think I should carry on with CB opks too? I've used a whole box already and not had a peak 🙈 yes had a lap and dye. Haven't been on contraception for nearly two years now, but actually been ttc about 18 months I think. I have endo, they have removed that and I had dye put through my tubes to make sure there were no blockages. Which there wasn't thankfully 😅 should be extra fertile after the procedure so was hoping so much for that peak.

Eeek keeping my fingers crossed for you, we should be around the same time then, we can keep ourselves going through this tww!!

@Mich2020 sorry i didnt realise that you have had an op. I would say count today as 1dpo but i would maybe keep checking for the next week or so with ic as your body may have tried to ovulate but not done so and may try again to ovulate in a few days. There is every posibility that you have though as your tests were getting darker werent they, it is such a small gap to actually catch it with tests and it may be that your sample was too dilute to confirm your actual peak.

I have been trying for too long now to let myself get too excited, i know that i have /will have done everything i can this month though. Pains ended this morning with 2 sharp stabbing sensations so i am hoping dtd tonight is less painful.

@Bbdm1984 no there isn't any more we could have done, just upsetting to not see a peak just hoping I did actually ovulate and my cycles haven't been messed up by my op 🤞🏻 do you think I should count today as 1dpo or just carry on testing hoping I'll see a peak on cb sticks soon?

Oh how are you feeling.. positive about this month I hope 🤞🏻 x

@Mich2020 i understand that it can be deflating but you have done all you can anyway with dtd for the last 5 days, surely there isnt anymore that you could have done is there?

My opks have gone back to blank circle now so i am hoping i have managed to catch although i still have to bd 3 more times

I've tested again with a cheap opk just now and it's very very negative, this is depressing. If I have missed my surge then we have dtd for the last 5 days in a row which my app predicted was my fertile window anyway. I will continue with opks to see what happens anyway. Feeling a bit deflated though 😧 x
