Hey all
I've been ttc for a long time, I had my lap and dye last week which removed all endo visible and unstuck my left ovary from my tube. My tubes are clear. The horrible bleeding that I had after is coming to an end. I'm very determined to try everything I can this month and the following months if I fail.
I have read about this SMEP and I've heard good things about it.
Today I am CD 5 so I am going to start dtd tonight instead of the recommendation of CD 8. I done an ovulation test today (just for fun) there's a second line but very much not positive so going to keep doing them twice a day until I get my surge. Also have some cb advance ones coming tomorrow.

My question is how many people have used this method and been successful on here? Would love to keep chatting to people through these next 6 months if possible as this is kind of the last hurdle before more fertility tests are taken for both me and my DP xx

I got itchy POAS and tried an OPK today at 7dpo and it's very negative. Looks the sand colour as what I get when I test from cd8.

Mich2020 · 06/09/2020 17:31

I hope so 🤞🏻🤞🏻 umm not very many. Possibly 7 or 8 at most. I know it's too early but I like to poas 😂😂 thats it now it's dried. Pretty sure I am imagining lines anyway but this has been a long old journey. It's in the bin now 🙈 no more testing until Tuesday at least haha. How are you doing? Xx

@Mich2020 those symptoms do sound promising! Although I agree I can't see anything on that test. How many DPO are you?

Mich2020 · 06/09/2020 17:07

I keep staring at it hoping the line will just appear 😂😂😂

How are you all? Quick question, I know this maybe tmi but I have loads of white thick creamy discharge. Is this a good sign? Achy stomach and lower back too .. ahh I'm symptom spotting so much haha. I've done a IC this afternoon and pretty sure it's very much negative 👎🏼😩 still way to early though so bigger fool me lol xx

Muda · 06/09/2020 09:41

@Mich2020 I have had positive opk stickswhen pregnant this time and earlier this year so it's a good sign 🤞🤞

Sleepyhead81 · 05/09/2020 15:31

Hi everyone how ru all? I haven't been on all week as was away on holiday.
@Muda congratulations that's lovely news!
I also got my bfp this morning so the SMEP has worked for us. I'm a little apprehensive too after a miscarriage at 9 1/2 weeks in June but hoping all goes well this time!

Morning all, hope everyone is well and has some good plans this weekend. Had that weird stabbing pain the left side of womb are yesterday again? But did an opk and stark white. Also man my tiredness is uncontrollable at the moment but think that has more to do with my autoimmune disorder than anything else. AF boobs have arrived this morning so think im deffo out this month; bit gutted, but means i get to have a good time away for dp 40th at the beginning of october. . How are you all doing?

Mich2020 · 04/09/2020 09:12

@1940s only 5-6dpo I think going by my peak opk. Have had proper lower cramps last night and this morning and still super tired. My eldest had gone to school and my youngest is at her dads and the DP is at work for a couple hours so I'm back in bed lol x

Oooh @Mich2020 that is a good sign! How many DPO are you?

Mich2020 · 04/09/2020 08:49

The line was very close to being as dark as the control line when I threw it away.. I will not read to much into it though. Hope your doing okay @Muda x

Muda · 04/09/2020 08:43

@Mich2020 I got a high opk on my cd29 and it turned out to be a bfp a few days later! But I did also read you can get an LH surge before AF. Again fingers crossed this is a positive sign for you! X

Mich2020 · 04/09/2020 08:13

Just realised that picture didn't look dark at all.. this one is better

I had to pee on something.. this is my opk from this morning, not positive I know but quite a dark line for CD20.. read some success stories on this before about opks detecting hcg. Going to keep doing them now every morning just to see 😂😂🙈

@1940s keeping my fingers crossed for you. Hormones are funny things.
@itsgood2talk it's such a shame about partners not being able to come in.
@Muda let's hope so 🤞🏻 although I'm not getting my hopes up just yet.

When will everyone be testing? I'm so impatient.. I want to know now 🙈 very achy and crampy this morning xx

@Mich2020 I hope the tiredness is a good sign for you!
@1940s @Bbdm1984 is right you still have a week to go so don’t lose hope just yet.
@itsgood2talk that’s such a shame partners still aren’t allowed in the scan, is this your first child? I think I will do the same if my OH can’t come to the scan we will book a private one as I want him to be able to join in the magic and see it

itsgood2talk · 03/09/2020 23:04

@Bbdm1984 thanks! I'm due 8th March. Had 12 week scan last week and everything was fine. Partners aren't allowed to come in though so had to go alone. I've booked a private scan just before the 20 week one as they are allowing partners into those and that way DH can be there to find out what we are having 😊

Bbdm1984 · 03/09/2020 21:40

@1940s dont lose hope just yet it is still over a week until you test x

1940s · 03/09/2020 21:18

I feel like I've got my pre AF grumps today. Even DH breathing was driving me mad. Not a good sign as I always feel like this mid way through Luteal phase before AF arrives. I really wanted this to be our month

Mich2020 · 03/09/2020 20:37

So tired this evening. Even had a nap on the sofa. Not sure if it's just work catching up with me. Feels like I could sleep for a week x
