Hey all
I've been ttc for a long time, I had my lap and dye last week which removed all endo visible and unstuck my left ovary from my tube. My tubes are clear. The horrible bleeding that I had after is coming to an end. I'm very determined to try everything I can this month and the following months if I fail.
I have read about this SMEP and I've heard good things about it.
Today I am CD 5 so I am going to start dtd tonight instead of the recommendation of CD 8. I done an ovulation test today (just for fun) there's a second line but very much not positive so going to keep doing them twice a day until I get my surge. Also have some cb advance ones coming tomorrow.

My question is how many people have used this method and been successful on here? Would love to keep chatting to people through these next 6 months if possible as this is kind of the last hurdle before more fertility tests are taken for both me and my DP xx

A weekend away and a bfp sounds like a lovely way to take your minds off the court stuff. How did your sister react to the bfp?

I’m feeling absolutely fine. One of the reasons we have decided to book an early scan is because I don’t feel pregnant at all. No symptoms what so ever so I may just be super lucky but it’s making me worry a lot! At the moment I have checked and partners are allowed in 12 week and 20 week scans but I’m also concerned that this could change at any time and I would hate to have our first scan on my own. We have our 12 week scan booked 22nd October so fingers crossed there’s no change in partners being allowed to come then too.

Yes sister was here while i did the test, she is the only one dp doesnt even know yet as he was in court this morning trying to get the decree absolute with an ex that is trying every trick in the book to delay things. We are away this weekend so will do a test with him then and pretend it is the first but then we wont be telling anyone until xmas.

Oh wow 10 weeks already! How are you feeling? I bet your super excited for your scan, is dh allowed into your nhs dating scan?

That’s such happy news! Does your sis know? Have you told anyone else yet? I’m just over 10 weeks today and we’ve still not told anyone. We have booked in for an early private scan this Saturday so hope to tell our parents this weekend- I’m excited and so nervous!

Thank you both, in a bit of disbelief really, i knew i was before i tested yesterday, i just cant get my head around all the montha of checking opks and planning when to have sex to have the best possibilitly and then the month i think fuck it were not even together when im ovulating so whats the point it happens. I am absolutely exhausted, have sore boobs that feel bruised, and heartburn. I had period cramps when i was due on like it could turn up any minute but a couple of days before af was due i had a really sharp pulling sensation when i reached to get something.

Aww congratulations @Bbdm1984 what great news. I'm about 3dpo we also haven't dtd as much as we would have liked so fingers crossed that I may have the same outcome as you. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months xx

Hi all hope you are all well, how are you getting on? Just wanted to update that i got my BFP tonight very shocked as i literally thought i had no chance this month as dp was away working 2 days before ovulation and we just enjoyed without even trying.

@Mich2020 i am so sorry, you and me both on the millionth month mark. But it is better than being in limbo and not knowing. Ive given up until end of year/beginning of next year, FW does not tye in with dp working away till then so we are bringing the fun back into sex rather than having sex to concieve. I wish you all the luck in the world and hope you get your sticky bean soon xx

Just been to the loo. Pink spotting has started. Will expect full blown AF in the morning 😭☹️ at least I know now where I am. Onto month one millions of TTC xx

But some people say it didn't affect their cycle at all so I don't know 🤷🏻‍♀️ x

@Bbdm1984 yes I had a google this morning. It says it can effect cycles. I had a massive bleed 3-4 days after the op a day before my period was due so thought it was my period, so now I'm CD 35 and 4-6 days late for AF depending on what cycle length I go by it does vary sometimes x

Frer was negative yesterday, my easy @ home test wasn't negative this morning. Still no AF all the pain but nothing at all ☹️ xx

@Bbdm1984 I'm going to try a different brand over the weekend to see what happens. Yes they are definitely there irl. Even my DP agreed and he doesn't see anything usually hahaha. They are getting darker. Just wish I had a clear answer. Can't get to the drs until next week. Working until next Thursday now and there's just no time at all x

Aww im really sorry your going through this @Mich2020 (to be honest ive zoomed in and still cant see a second line on any of your pocs, however i am not doubting they are there irl) but you have been getting positives for over a week now and they dont seem to be getting any clearer (sorry again if rhey are irl) i would definitely be phoning my gp and asking for bloods to get a definitive answer as to what is going on. It could be that you are very much pregnant and stressing isnt going to help you at all. Good luck, keep us updated xx
