Hi ladies,

First of all, I am so sorry for all of your losses. I hope you don't mind me joining... I had a MMC discovered at around 10 weeks after having seen a 'healthy' heartbeat at 7ish weeks (later, after a lot of fraught googling, I found out that the bpm of 110 was probably too slow). I had an ERPC on 17 July and AF (or what i assume was AF) arrived 3ish weeks later on 9 August, although I am now having some spotting so who knows what is going on really.

I was completely broken after the MMC - this was my first and very much wanted pregnancy. I conceived 5 months after coming off the pill and the first month of properly 'trying' (OPKs etc) and I sort of felt like I had jinxed things for being all pleased with my body for catching so quickly...I am 33 and had delayed trying for a year or so because I wanted to enjoy being married / travelling for a few years. Of course, now i feel like a selfish cow for putting it off and feel like it will never happen.

These threads have helped me feel so much less alone. I had never even heard of a MMC before. In fact, I only went in for the fateful scan because of a weird niggling feeling about the heartbeat being too slow and a general sense of something being wrong (I am in HK and private healthcare insurance covers this sort of thing).

Good luck to all of you ladies and fingers crossed that we get happier news soon x

HE88 · 18/08/2020 10:45

Thanks @Northernsoul90 xx

Rebecca1992 · 18/08/2020 10:43

@MichT4 How are you feeling today? Did you test this morning? X

Rebecca1992 · 18/08/2020 10:42

@ladysamee I think FRER are rare to give evap lines, I've used so many different tests over the past 2 months and honestly found CB the best to pick it up early and they have a terrible rep for evap lines! Does an inverted image pick up a second line?

I always inverted my pics early on...try not to panic and maybe try a CB x

SmileyT · 18/08/2020 10:41

@MichT4 @VP91x all good over here thanks just a really busy day at work 😴

@HappyVibes everything I read said that exercise is only really a positive but just not to increase exercise regime during the TWW/ early pregnancy and to not let HR go to mental keeping it below around 170. If I hadn't completely given up the gym over lockdown I'd definitely be in there now, in my gym most people train until about 8months, I think it's great for your body and birth, but as with everything I think it's personal choice x

@Bl0ndi3 I think they just say FMU is just so they can monitor an increase if you always use SMU it will all be fine x

@Pugprincess ahh hopefully a bit of brown is not a bad sign, we definitely couldn't go without sex - we had it on the dining room table last night 😂

@Lollol86 I know it's hard but try not to worry about symptoms, I'm definitely guilty of this, but symptoms don't indicate a healthy pregnancy and no symptoms don't indicate an unhealthy one, just remember every pregnancy is different. Also most people that aren't tracking probably wouldn't even suspect pregnancy this early, I'm sure they'll hit you soon x

Northernsoul90 · 18/08/2020 10:41

@Hayley19835 Good luck for you consult today I hope you get some answers xx

@kittycat581 Hello, so sorry for your loss ❤️ it's really hard going to the scans alone at the minute. I had a similar situation - mmc and found out via scan at 8 weeks. I hope you are okay and looking after yourself.

I think the general advice that doctors will give is to wait until you have your first period after mc to try again. This is usually for dating purposes though unless you have been given a specific medical reason. Some ladies on the thread have got pregnant before their first period and I started trying before my first period after mc as well. I didn't catch though and am now in my first 'proper' cycle since the mc. Have they told you to do a pregnancy test in a couple of weeks to check for a negative result? Xx

kittycat581 · 18/08/2020 10:34

Hi, I’m new to this so bear with me-this is my story.....

Got married in August 2019 (1st Anniversary next Monday) and we started trying to get pregnant as soon as we got back from honeymoon. I’m 38 so didn’t expect it to be quick! Got a positive test result in June and we were over the moon!! At the end of July I went along (on my own, stupid coronavirus 🤬) got the 12 week scan and was told I was only 6 weeks. I knew we hadn’t got the dates wrong as we’d been so careful. A week later I went back again for another scan to see if anything had changed - it hadn’t. I’d had a missed miscarriage. Home again for another week to see if my body would catch up and expel the ‘product’. It didn’t. So yesterday I had the medical intervention and this morning I am trying to get my head around it all been over.

I’m kinda done with the tears and all that and now I just want to move forward and start trying again! But it’s hard to work out when we can and what we should wait for etc!

Anyway, hoping to get some insight from this so thanks for the thread! x

Northernsoul90 · 18/08/2020 10:33

@Lollol86 It really is, I would be exactly the same even with my last experience. You just desperately want to be at that 12 week mark. It will come though and you will have your rainbow baby in your arms 🌈💖 pma all the way xx

Hayley19835 · 18/08/2020 10:23

Morning all hope everyone is well 😊

So today's the day we get OH further test results looking into his low count 😬 counting down the hours until we get our phone consult!

Lollol86 · 18/08/2020 10:23

@Northernsoul90 that's the other problem I can't remember when I started feeling and being sick with last pregnancies so it may well have been 6-8 weeks xx

Lollol86 · 18/08/2020 10:22

@Northernsoul90 I know you are right it's just so hard isn't it. Im trying to stay positive and I am still so early but I don't even have sore boobs which I have at this stage before. I just want to be at 12 weeks already 😂. I just need to think my rainbow baby is going to be here in 8 months time 🌈🤞🏻 xx

Northernsoul90 · 18/08/2020 10:21

@Lollol86 Just read your message about your other pregnancies, it is still very early yet as well you may start to develop sickness around the 6/7 week mark xx

@Pugprincess CM is quite milky, wet but no EWCM yet. This might be a really stupid question but how do you find your cervix, as in know what it feels like? I've never checked my cervix before xx

Northernsoul90 · 18/08/2020 10:17

@Pugprincess @Lollol86 Hope you are both getting on okay and looking after yourselves! Try not to worry about the sickness I know people says it's a good sign but everyone really is different. With my last pregnancy I was horrendously sick, I couldn't get out of bed or stomach pretty much anything. My mc was a blighted ovum so baby had stopped developing way before any of my pregnancy symptoms started - it was the placenta still developing that was creating the sickness. I know it's hard not to panic and symptom spot but no one symptom can be a marker of a healthy pregnancy. My friend is also 8 weeks pregnant through IVF and has no symptoms at all and baby is developing perfectly - she's had a few scans through her fertility clinic. It's such an anxious time isn't it, I bet you both can't wait for your scans. Try and be kind to yourselves and focus on the positives - there's no reason to think that baby isn't safely tucked up and developing nicely ❤️

ladysamee · 18/08/2020 10:14

Thanks ladies ☺️ I really do think that it may be an evap line though because I can't see any colour to the faint line xx

Pugprincess · 18/08/2020 10:12

@Northernsoul90 thanks 😊 I doubt you missed your peak yet, cause you get peak for a couple of days I think? Cause of the whole 12-36 hours egg released time. It’s probably mucking about. I’m not sure how reliable the temps are as I haven’t done them for a long time and didn’t stick with it cause I found it hard work. How’s your cm looking? X

Lollol86 · 18/08/2020 10:11

@Pugprincess I know every pregnancy can be different but from my 4 pregnancies they have been very similar in regards to sickness b no sickness so I think of sickness comes it will help ease my mind xx

Northernsoul90 · 18/08/2020 10:08

@HE88 This is the one we got - the coQ10 supplements are very expensive, somebody else on here told me they were using these ones so I did the same as they are a cheaper option! They are 100mg so he just takes 2 a day.

Pugprincess · 18/08/2020 10:07

@Lollol86 Yh I’m tired too. Dreading going back to school/work next week! I nap and laze around ALOT at the moment. I would like sickness too. I never got it last time either. I don’t think it’s full proof though, I googled and every preg diff and some women don’t get it. My friends sis in law has 2 girls and she didn’t get any symptoms throughout her pregnancies, just breezed on through. Girls are meant to make sickness worse too although that’s debated and some say it’s a myth. I swear I get brief moments of nausea but I feel like it’s cause I want it. I need to be throwing up a bit 😂

@MrsK21 😂 🍇 🍉 🍈🍆❌🚫
Glad you are feeling better too ❤️

Northernsoul90 · 18/08/2020 10:05

So I am cd13 today and 3rd flashy this morning. I am starting to think have I missed picking ovulation up on opks because my temp dropped down to 36.11 yesterday from 36.27 the previous day and is now at 36.30 🤔. It could just be due to temperature changes or restless sleep though and usually I would get ovulation twinges which I haven't felt. Normally I ovulate on cd19/20 so to ovulate on cd12 would be really early for me - who knows though what's going on after mc.

I've been using cb opks and the lines look to be getting fainter on the stick to me not darker - anyone any experience of this? I know you're not supposed to read the lines technically. It's just hard knowing when to dtd - really hope I don't get loads of flashys poor DH will be exhausted 🤣 I'm scared to not do it on a flashy day though in case we get peak the next morning.

HE88 · 18/08/2020 09:59

@Northernsoul90 ah that's not great you took a reaction. What one is hubby using? Xx

Northernsoul90 · 18/08/2020 09:58

@ladysamee definitely a faint line - could be late implantation 🤞🏼🤞🏼 retest in a day or two xx

@Pugprincess Yes I agree with the other ladies, it will just be a case of increased blood flow/irritation but nothing to worry about it's fine to dtd during pregnancy. It's all such a worry isn't it xx

Northernsoul90 · 18/08/2020 09:53

@HE88 Yes coQ10 is for egg and sperm quality, I got some but had a reaction to it but DH is taking 200mg a day. Xx

@Bl0ndi3 Sorry that this happened, something similar happened to me and quite a lot of other ladies on here it's so insensitive 😔.

I think the CB should be okay with smu - is there no way you could do the CB at 5? Or keep the fmu and dip it later? (Not sure how long you can leave it to stand for). I've always done FMU for CB but it does say once you get a flashy you can do them more regularly throughout the day I think. I never normally do because I drink loads and holding and doing opks starts to rule your life especially when ive had cycles with 10+ flashys. I do worry though in case I miss peak, why is it all so hard 😂🥴 xx

MrsK21 · 18/08/2020 09:46

@SmileyT @Northernsoul90 @VP91x @Pugprincess @MichT4 Thank you for reassurance and helping me feel better. Spotting seems to have lessened to "old blood" so I think it's just everything from the last 3 months working its way out. The cramps have died down too but still getting odd twinge so fingers crossed it's a proper new cycle.

@pugprincess sounds like maybe you've just irritated yourself down there after the fooling around and like someone else said, there's increased blood flow and it's more sensitive so set it off easier.
I shouldn't giggle but you had me giggling at "forbidden fruit" lol xxx

Lollol86 · 18/08/2020 09:45

@Pugprincess I'm really tired but other than that nothing. I'm 4 weeks 3 days and most stuff says 6 weeks is when it generally all starts. With my 2 healthy pregnancies I had sickness and with my 2 mc I didn't. So I literally need the sickness to start xx

Pugprincess · 18/08/2020 09:33

@Tink20058 Ooya ok, thanks for that, I think we will wait too now until we feel ready to try again, see how things go. I’d like to see that baby is there and growing ok as last one stopped around 6+4 and my scan this time is around 6+5. We just hoped that not doing the full penetration would avoid the cervix and therefore avoid this spotting but clearly it doesn’t matter what you do 😕😩 xx
