Merry Christmas to you all too - I hope you all managed to have a nice time still. I'm so sorry to read about those bfns, but you've still got time - you're not out until you're out!

My bleeding has so far eased up... I'm by no means counting my chickens but I'm glad it's stopped for now at least...

Merry christmas back at ya @tofu35.

I tested yesterday at 12dpo hoping to gift DH with a Christmas BFP, but it was negative Sad
Had so many symptoms too...

Ah well, AF is due tomorrow so we'll see

acaciabluebell · 26/12/2020 14:32

@Tofu35, right back at you lovely!

I had a nice day with my DH yesterday but he's gone back to work today so I'm home alone with my emotions and hormones (bad mix). I'm 10dpo today and I got a BFN as always :( Sigh. AF is due on Monday. I have strong lower back aches and my boobs have been incredibly sore for a week and a half now. Same thing every month. I dunno if I can hack this any longer tbh

Tofu35 · 26/12/2020 09:21

Merry Christmas, gang! Hope whatever you managed to do yesterday, you had a lovely time 🎅

Daffodil21 · 23/12/2020 12:17

@Bramleyapples13 I'm just going to wait it out. I'm not going to bother with a scan as I've never had any answers from one. If it's going to happen it'll happen soonish so for now I'll just wait.

@Tabbycat92 hope it turns into a bfp for you

Ya know what, I've realised there's nothing there haha ignore that

Tabbycat92 · 23/12/2020 07:39

Ladies, have I got line eyes? Am I going mad? 10dpo (I know I said id wait...) on a clear blue (frers don't arrive until later)

Oh god @Daffodil21 I hope it isn't. I really can't find the right words. What are the next steps?

Christmas is just another day. I've always happily worked Christmas day, being off is a novelty. And a different Christmas to normal for everyone won't hurt and may be something they do again!

Daffodil21 · 22/12/2020 17:34

@Tofu35 thank you ❤️ yeah my MN break hasn't quite worked out! I was hoping to sail through the danger zone but here we are again.

@acaciabluebell thanks ❤️ we've firmly decided against a scan. Time will tell but I'm pretty sure this is going the same way as the others. The bleeding has stopped for today, but it always starts then stops for a bit just to fuck with me some more.

The second I got my bfp I knew this was likely to happen over Christmas, so we'll just have to make the best of it.

Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas, even though as you say it's a little different this year 🎄

Oh daffodil, I won't tag you in case you're taking a break from MN. If you do see this, I hope you and your partner are doing okay and, while this will be a different Christmas to normal, I hope the two of you have a lovely time and you can recover from this unwelcome news xx

Here's to next year, 2020 has been a pile of shite!

acaciabluebell · 21/12/2020 18:51

I'm so sorry @Daffodil21. I can't imagine how you must feel. Be kind to yourself ❤️️ Maybe see how you feel tomorrow r.e getting any scans? So the hospital know at least. They have to start testing this properly! Gosh. I'm so upset and angry on your behalf.

Daffodil21 · 21/12/2020 18:43

@acaciabluebell I think it's exactly what I think it is. I've been avoiding looking at the loo roll since I had my promising blood results back, but I've had a feeling that there has been some there. It was bright red in my underwear this evening. Usually it starts brown then goes red, but nope gone straight to red. I intentionally haven't been keeping an eye though so I could have just missed the brown.

Yeah I could almost definitely get a scan, but to be honest I just can't be bothered. If there's no heartbeat they'll say I've got my dates wrong, and if there is then in past experience that doesn't mean anything either so I'm just going to wait for it to happen at home. They didn't end up doing proper testing for the last pregnancy either so I'm not even going to waste my time taking this one to the hospital

acaciabluebell · 21/12/2020 18:36

Noooo @Daffodil21 I'm so so sorry. Hopefully it won't be what you think it is? Are you able to get any scans or tests?

Daffodil21 · 21/12/2020 18:05

I've just started to bleed 🤬🤬🤬

@Daffodil21 Merry Christmas! Have a good one!

Tofu35 · 20/12/2020 17:56

Merry Christmas @daffodil21 Xmas Smile

Daffodil21 · 20/12/2020 13:23

Thanks ladies. I'm just about to enter 'the danger zone' so I'm going to take a break from MN and try and keep myself distracted.

Hope you all have a lovely Christmas - catch up soon xx

I have to say I don't know. It might be worth ringing, that's something that's never occurred to me and probably should have! 😂 I would always advocate having smears, having one pretty much saved my life.

acaciabluebell · 18/12/2020 22:05

@Bramleyapples13 yeah, I just turned 25 which is why I've not had one before. I've seen pictures and it looks so freaky! Is it okay to have one in the two week wait?

Bramleyapples13 · 18/12/2020 21:53

Just nipped in for a quick read to catch up and seeing fantastic news @Daffodil21! And also for @Tofu35 for getting some news. @acaciabluebell your first smear? It's the oddest thing ever but it's over very fast (I have one once a year), are you okay about it? @CEW19, how will you go about booking the HSG test?

I suppose little steps for all of us are good things 🤗

Tofu35 · 18/12/2020 21:02

@acaciabluebell I believe the difference is a HSG uses xray and the hycosy is an ultrasound. Both use a dye/solution to see if there are any issues/blockages in falopian tubes.

I found out on the day- they showed me the screen and I could see the dye travel through. So it was nice to be able to leave the clinic with some semblance of answers (even if it is 'everything is okay, it's just taking a bit longer for you')

acaciabluebell · 18/12/2020 19:36

@Tofu35 glad to hear your test went well. When do you find out the results? Also, is a hycosy and HSG the same thing?

acaciabluebell · 18/12/2020 19:33

@Daffodil21 so happy to hear about your numbers doubling!! Great news to start your weekend.

@CEW19 I'm so sorry that AF got you. I feel your pain. A 2 year waiting list is ridiculous! I was told that I'm facing a 1 year wait (London). Are there no other tests you can do on the NHS between now and then?

I'm doing my 21 day bloods next week as well as my first ever smear test (eek!!)

Tofu35 · 18/12/2020 13:07

Yay @daffodil21! Glad things are still looking positive for you :) some nice news for your weekend!xx

CEW19 · 18/12/2020 11:43

@Daffodil21 we had some tests done at a private clinic back in September (all fine). The doctor called me just now and she said since it looks like I ovulate fine and my cycles are relatively regular, I should conceive normally, it's just taking some time. She's booked me in for another set of 21-day bloods anyway, and referred me to a fertility specialist but she said the wait list is at least 2 years. We're about to go into another lockdown in Wales so everything on hold again. She did say that it might be an idea to go private for the HSG dye test thing to check if my tubes are blocked, rather than wait for the referral, so will book that in the new year if nothing happens. Sorry, life story or what!

So relieved that your results came back with good news. Hope you are able to relax slightly over Christmas now X
