An alert system would be good. I brought a Basal temperature thermometer which is going to arrive tomorrow. CD42 today... Still no sign of AF and BFN on FMP test....

Bramleyapples13 · 20/08/2020 21:57

@Tofu35 yes they could be! I think there's a few of us in the TWW at the minute. I'm due AF at the end of next week but I stock piled cheapie tests 🙄

Tofu35 · 20/08/2020 20:34

@Bramleyapples13 last month I was going on holiday so bought those 'early detection' tests (one of those 'first pee of the day' ) but during the night AF arrived so I never got to use them! An investment for this month I hope?

Bramleyapples13 · 20/08/2020 19:31

@Tofu35 we should! Surely that would help everyone? And on the expensive pregnancy tests!

Tofu35 · 20/08/2020 12:36

@Bramleyapples13 we should have an alert system here when they're on offer! It's an expensive business ttc

Bramleyapples13 · 19/08/2020 23:08

I use the cheapies on the run up to when I think my FW is, then use the CB ones. Unfortunately because hindsight is a wonderful thing, I should have got more of the CB ones when they were on offer! Grrr.

Aokbaby · 19/08/2020 22:27

@Intrigued2020 yea I was the same, I got internet cheapies but they never worked well for me and I was always guessing if the line was there or not. Clearblue are very easy to use and read with smiley faces. Good luck x

Intrigued2020 · 19/08/2020 21:16

@Aokbaby - thanks for the tip! That’s why I wanted to use the cheap ones because you get 5 in a packet for £1 and if you use them a lot then it’s not expensive at all. If they don’t work properly that’s a different problem though. It’s hard when you first come off of the pill because I have no idea when my ovulation will be but hopefully my next cycle will be easier to estimate so that I won’t have to use so many :)

Aokbaby · 19/08/2020 20:45

@Intrigued2020 keep an eye out for deals on Amazon as the clearblue can be a bit pricey. I got them for £16 on Amazon and I think they're over £50 to purchase elsewhere ☺️

Intrigued2020 · 19/08/2020 20:11

@Dogscanlookup - I think I might need to get the CB ones as it looks like most people use them! I currently use the cheap sticks from pound land and it says on the packaging that unless you have a dark line, darker than the control line then it’s negative but it’s so strange how some days there is a faint line and some days there is nothing. I guess I just need to wait until I have a dark day 👌 I think for my next cycle I will purchase the CB because hopefully I will have a better idea about my cycle and they might be easier to use! xx

Daffodil21 · 19/08/2020 20:02

@Tofu35 my DH knows about this group too. I haven't specifically said it's MN but it wouldn't be hard to work out. I always have it in the back of my mind that he could search for it and see all the intimate stuff I've posted though 😂

@Tofu35 aw that’s sweet of you to say! I really want to see you guys get your much deserved BFPs! And yes, definitely talked to my DP about stuff on here, he loved that I had a supportive group 😊
@Intrigued2020 I used the CB OPKs with smileys and generally tried to ignore the lines as instructed but I don’t know about which ones you’re using? X

Intrigued2020 · 19/08/2020 13:58

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if you can help me with my question. I have been using OPKs everyday since I have came off the pill so that I can find out when I am ovulating however I have had the odd day where there is a faint line and then the next day when I have re-tested it has disappeared. Did anyone else experience this? It has happened twice now. Many thanks :)

Tofu35 · 19/08/2020 12:46

Aww will be sad to lose you from our wee corner of MN @Dogscanlookup so good that you're sticking around for a wee bit longer.

Does anyone talk to their other half about what they see on MN? I was about to say to DH about all the good news from this thread but realised that might be weird? Is it? Confused

Dogscanlookup · 18/08/2020 21:58

Thank you everyone 😊 @Tofu35 I know right 😂 I can still smell them just thinking about it 🤢 my boobs are also so hard and having the weirdest shooting pains in my tummy. All new stuff to get used to I guess!

I’m gonna stick around on here a little longer and have my fingers crossed for everyone!

Welliedays · 18/08/2020 16:11

@cew19 shl we swap other halves.. I'm the one wanting to test early and he's the one saying to wait ahah

Tofu35 · 18/08/2020 14:13

@dogscanlookup !!! Congratulations, so chuffed for you. Who knew being suspicious of strawberries was a symptom, will have to put that on my list Grin

In the FW right now, glad we are both working at home so it's our timing during the day is a bit more flexible than if we were both office based. Hoping I get a positive before my work calls me back- haha.

CEW19 · 18/08/2020 10:41

@Daffodil21 I'll try and wait until I'm late. DH gets excited and wants to test early though so every month it's a battle between the two of us lol. With the ads: go to settings & privacy > settings > scroll down to ad preferences > hide ad topics

I find I still get some ads that slip through the net, but hopefully above will help

StephiW · 18/08/2020 10:32

@Daffodil21 I'm usually regular. It's just the last couple of months have been off... I took one yesterday BFN though...

Daffodil21 · 18/08/2020 08:19

@StephiW are your cycles normally regular? Have you taken a test?

@CEW19 ah I don't window shop now. Because of my history I don't think I'll look at things unless I have to - that's kind of why I'm encouraging others to because they should enjoy this time. It should be very exciting! I also don't gets ads because my DH changed my settings as I was fed up of seeing them. That reminds me - I was supposed to ask him how he did it and report back to this thread! Must do that later! AF due 31st but I've been getting spotting from 9dpo for the last couple of months so I expect this one will be the same. Are you planning on testing early or waiting if AF is late?

Aokbaby · 18/08/2020 08:16

@Dogscanlookup congratulations, lovely news 💕

CEW19 · 18/08/2020 08:02

@Welliedays this is month 8 now, which I know isn't super long but I'm an impatient control freak so hate not knowing what's going on!

@Daffodil21I'm the same with the window shopping. I blame the ads! When is AF due with you? I should be around the 29th.

@Dogscanlookup massive congrats! hopefully this is a lucky month for us all Smile

StephiW · 18/08/2020 07:04

@Welliedays @Daffodil21. AF is around 4 days late currently, but not a single pregnancy symptom. Plus we weren't trying so... Keep getting twinges like AF is about to start then nothing. So frustrating because all I want to do is start Wink

Dogscanlookup · 17/08/2020 23:16

Thanks guys! I thought I had no symptoms because everything was coinciding with my first week back at work! Extreme tiredness, headaches every morning etc... today strawberries smelt sooo bad and made me feel sick and that’s when I was super suspicious!

@Welliedays aw try not to worry and be positive! Although I know what you mean, it’s very surreal... I don’t think I’ll believe it until I have my first scan!

Daffodil21 · 17/08/2020 22:39

Oh my gosh @Dogscanlookup !! Congratulations!!!!

@Welliedays keep googling those maternity clothes and enjoy it!!
