@acaciabluebell I'm so sorry AF arrived. How are you feeling today? ❤️

@CEW19 I hope your appointment does ok - let us know? Are they doing tests or initial consultation?

@acaciabluebell it's so hard to switch off from it isn't it. Would be nice to not think about it, and just DTD, but I'm so hyper aware of what my body is doing, it's hard not to track.

@Daffodil21Ye hopefully a bit of r&r will do the trick, but also have my tests at the fertility clinic on Wednesday so that's keeping me more at ease too, knowing that I'm doing something.

BellaBella84 · 09/09/2020 07:50

Hey @acaciabluebell how long's it been now? PMT is bad enough with the gut wrenching disappointment. My heart goes out to you ❤️

acaciabluebell · 08/09/2020 10:23

AF is here a week early 😢 25 day cycle. I had no symptoms, no indication that AF was on her way, it totally surprised me this morning. I guess I did ovulate on CD12 like the OPK said. We DTD so many times around ovulation but again, another failed month. Starting to feel so tired of this whole process

Daffodil21 · 07/09/2020 19:35

@CEW19 oh yeah that's a tough milestone! I hope you have a nice relaxing weekend away! It's good your FW is while you're relaxing...
We're away this weekend too - I cannot wait!

How is everyone else?

I've had a little bit of brown when wiping and a little bit of spotting in my underwear today. AF has just finished and I'm on CD9. I've never had this before so I hope it's not a messed up cycle! Just dtd and afterwards it was red more than brown when I wiped but a little watery? Does anyone know what this could mean? Maybe it's just all these billions of supplements I've been taking...

Happy Monday all! How's everyone doing? I'm limbering up for another FW over here. O day should be falling on the weekend which is our 1st wedding anniversary which is a bit depressing. Had imagined we'd have a baby or be pregnant by now. But, we have a lovely weekend away booked so hopefully this will be the month it happens for us! x

Daffodil21 · 06/09/2020 09:43

@Svm89 the only thing you can do is wait it out... in my experience it's so easy to symptom spot and be convinced there are 'signs' and then AF just shows up after you've got your hopes up.

I hope this isn't the case for you and you get your bfp soon

🙄@Bramleyapples13 But it's a sad truth that the less you do the less you can do. It's like a messed up energy consumerism, you try to conserve it and you get rubbish interest rates, yet you spend spend spend your energy and you're rewarded with credit cards full of the stuff!

Svm89 · 05/09/2020 14:54

ey ladies I’m a first timer on here. Just looking for some advice, over the past week I’ve been feeling kinda funny like my lower stomach has butterflies constantly, I’m due my period next week but I’m having a really light bleed my cervix is way way back I can just feel it, it’s soft and I have no cramping apart from a slight sharp pain during the week. I don’t have any other symptoms.

Bramleyapples13 · 05/09/2020 13:56

@BellaBella84 I did think this. However, after my OH has come home from work (the only day he's actually been at work this week) and needs an hour long nap after getting up at 4.30, I'm genuinely wondering how he's going to cope with a baby??

BellaBella84 · 04/09/2020 19:57

Go @Bramleyapples13! You are winning at life! 🥳

Daffodil21 · 03/09/2020 22:17

@Tofu35 good luck. Please let us know how they go ❤️ enjoy your weekend away!
So sorry AF arrived.

@Bramleyapples13 good going!!

Just done another run of the couch to 5k and it's getting easier! Makes me feel much better about having another chocolate digestive to replen my energy when I get back! Hopefully being a bit healthier will help next week in my next FW (give the OH more energy too 🤣he's going to need it).

Tofu35 · 02/09/2020 21:09

AF arrived today, which means tomorrow I'll be making my appointment for more blood tests, just more hormone profile things. I have had them done at day 24 before and now they want to do them between day 1-4. Good luck anyone still in the TWW.

I'm off on holiday for a long weekend on Friday so hoping for no internet and enjoying a good book in the bath.

Daffodil21 · 02/09/2020 11:14

@Welliedays thank you very much for the Instagram suggestion. I have just watched the whole thing and I didn't even know about the monitoring service!! I'm definitely going to look into that if I get pregnant again.

@Tofu35 that's good!! Keep it up!! I also went for a walk last night and planning another today

OP posts:
Tofu35 · 01/09/2020 23:30

@Daffodil21 I don't trust anyone who can come out of 2020 lighter than they were at the beginning of the year 😂 although my fitness mission started today with a 30 mins walk around my neighborhood, need to try and keep this up!

Welliedays · 01/09/2020 19:44

@daffodil21 go and look at the account mylifewithcows on Instagram and in her story highlights she has one about infertility, obvs it's not all relevant, but did a gratitude thing too

Daffodil21 · 01/09/2020 16:10

@Tofu35 yes that's so true. I think I'm going to start it with the 'big' things I should be grateful for which are a constant and then daily put some little things in. Then I'll have something to refer to if I struggle to find much in a day if that makes sense!

So my scales have just arrived. I am mortified!! I thought I had a stone to lose, maybe a stone and a half, but I need to lose 2!! Oops... should have bought the scales sooner!!

OP posts:
Tofu35 · 01/09/2020 13:22

I love the idea of a gratitude jourmal @daffodil21, I think especially on a year like this, along with the stresses of TTC, it's a good way to remind ourselves that there is kindness and goodness happening around us. I keep a diary but it's once a week and at times reads like a prisoner journal, particularly in early lockdown where I obsess about times out the house and rationing food. I doubt I'll have any options to get it published later down the road 😂 maybe I should switch to your method!

Doing alright today, temp went up a bit after a few days of going down but that's maybe just par for the course. We're off on a mini-break up north this weekend, so I'm counting down the days!

Daffodil21 · 01/09/2020 08:50

Thanks @Bramleyapples13 and @Welliedays I'm ok now! I need to learn to get on with my life and stop dwelling. I'm going to start a gratitude journal which I've never done before because I feel I'm so focused on TTC that I forget all the good things, which other people would probably be desperate to have, and I'm just not appreciating because I'm so hung up on whether conceiving will happen or not.

@Welliedays I'm so so happy it happened early on for you! Enjoy the fact it did :) sounds like you have a busy couple of years ahead!!

My scales should arrive today so going to focus on improving my health and stop being in denial because I'm too scared to step on the scales!!

Also had a pregnancy dream last night - maybe I'll just go back to bed 😂

How is everyone doing?

OP posts:
Bramleyapples13 · 31/08/2020 22:16

@Daffodil21 I hope you're okay. I've thought about you a few times and what you've said about what you're going through. It is incredibly difficult but by the sound of it you have a good support network for whatever you decide to do. I think sometimes we can get a bit caught up in our thoughts rather than distancing ourselves from them and keeping busy. To want to be a mum is an unbelievably brave decision in my view and you will be one if you want to be, it just sometimes takes longer or has to be done differently for some people.

Welliedays · 31/08/2020 17:31

@daffodil21 sorry, I've actually had a productive afternoon (not sure what has happened to me). It sounds like you've had such a roller-coaster I'm not surprised you're feeling how you are. I honestly feel so guilty that we've seemingly managed so quickly when so many people struggle for so long, but I also live in fear it could all go wrong and be over - probably not helped by my chemical last month... But if that happens we're out of ttc for a while as we've got our wedding next summer!

Daffodil21 · 31/08/2020 17:23

@Tofu35 ooh good idea with the no internet thing.

Sorry for yet another meltdown! Have given myself a stern talking to and feeling better now!

Also bloods were clear :)

Happy to have a get fitter chat on this thread, would love to join in :)

@Daffodil21 I'm definitely a distracted worker, I've been trying to force a "no internet on my phone until after lunch" which means I have to get out of bed when I wake up (no browsing half asleep) but it means if my boss calls, I can still pick up.

While I definitely still check recipe websites on my computer (a new distraction) I don't lose nearly as much time as I do on Instagram. My phone is like a quick hit to ease distraction but then i start the social media loop 😅

Daffodil21 · 31/08/2020 13:51

@Welliedays I did consider just unplugging the WiFi and putting my phone upstairs, but my boss might call (I don't have a work phone). I think I'll do this after 5pm when he wouldn't call anyway (will need to work past 5 now)

I've had the prolactin test twice already. I had it last June/July and the results were high, they referred me to an endocrinologist but then I got pregnant and the tests were never picked up again (in England). Then I had it again in Scotland in feb and it was in normal range. I'm not even sure what they'd do if it was high again. I've had the progesterone one before as well (in England) and that was clear then, plus I've conceived twice, so even if that came back as having not ovulated I'm not sure they'd prescribe anything.

I'm just spending my time researching stuff I've already researched a million times and thinking about what we should do in the future.

Sorry to hear you didn't have a good week last week, I hope this week is better for youThanks
