Chemical pregnancy? Help!

Hi everyone I'm currently having what I suspect is a chemical pregnancy - started spotting brown on Monday after BFP and being one day late for period. Had pregnancy symptoms such as nausea, light headedness etc up to Tuesday mid day and then it all stopped. My lines were getting darker up to Tuesday on a frer (negative clear blue digi later ok tuesday) then from Wednesday the tests were a bit fainter and then stayed the same. Yesterday I started red/dark red bleeding with terrible cramps. The cruel thing aS that just before the bleeding I had took a frer and it was getting fainter ever so slightly but for the first time I got a pregnant 1-2 weeks on the clear blue Sad. I just want to know anyone else experience with this and does this sound like a typical chemical pregnancy? Has anyone had one and went on to quickly have another successful preganncy ? Did anyone take anything such as progesterone to help? What bloods should I be asking the Dr to run ? I also have an under active thyroid. Any help would be really appreciated!

@Welliedays that gives hope!!

Welliedays · 24/08/2020 18:56

Hello! I tested again yesterday and got a much stronger positive on a Frer and a faint line on a normal supermarket cheapy. Really hoping this little bean sticks.. But I'm further on than I got last time so I'm hoping it's a good sign!

Morgane777 · 24/08/2020 18:01

Hi! I think I'm ovulating today. I'm on a medicated cycle and I took an Ovidrel shot on Saturday. So I'll be beginning my two week wait tomorrow!
Wishing a lot of good news for us on this thread!

Littlebee1990 · 24/08/2020 12:00

Hey! Fingers crossed for your BFP! Did you manage to DTD much?

CD18 for me and predicted day of ovulation on both apps I use was yesterday.. I’ve been testing twice a day with an OPK since CD9 and all I have had is a constant faint second line so it’s still negative.. looking at my temps they’re also still low..I’ve always ovulated on CD14-16 and had 28-30 day cycles and had a big dip on ovulation day however in June I had the chemical pregnancy and my cycle after that there was no big drop on ovulation day and I also didn’t get a peak until CD25 and the cycle was 39 days. It’s really making me worried that something is wrong since I had the chemical pregnancy 😢

How's everyone doing? 6dpo over here, started the asprin, tried the pomagrante juice and just can't stomach it. Going today to get some raspberry leaf tea.

No symptoms but too early yet.

Hope everyone doing well?

@indecisivewoman81 if you're concerned speak to the midwives or call the doctors back and demand a phone consultation at least

indecisivewoman81 · 21/08/2020 10:19

@Mamainmaking1 thank you but I don't think the doctor even wants to see me! I phoned this morning and they told me to use online referral only. I very much doubt I will even see anyone until 10 weeks (if I get that far). No spotting for 4 days now x

Littlebee1990 · 21/08/2020 09:51

Thank you all so much!
Just took my folic acid and vitamin D and munching on some pineapple!
I’m CD15 and not got my peak yet.. hoping it comes soon!

Mamainmaking1 · 21/08/2020 09:42

@Littlebee1990 I used concieve plus, I really think it helped towards my BFP last month as I used loads of it, every month before I only used a tiny amount. I have read good things about pressed too so fingers crossed for good luck with it!!!

Mamainmaking1 · 21/08/2020 09:40

@Littlebee1990 thinking of you today, it is so hard but I hope that soon we will be able to celebrate again. The fact we already have a BFP from @Welliedays in this group really gives me hope!!

@Morgane777 and @Boc86 I am going to start the asprin today - mine is 75mg not 81mg but I'm sure it's ok? I really need to get myself some pineapple and pom juice too I have been so disorganised this time. Does anyone here know if it's ok to keep taking primrose oil? It's included in my omega tablet that came with a prior wellwomen vitamin pack.

We stopped DTD the day before ovulation, we did it every day for three days including the peak day but I then developed what I think is a slight BV infection from DTD so much - cry! Do you think I'm still in with a good chance? I also don't want to take antibiotics as I'm afraid they will harm the possibly of implantation. Any one any tips? Can I just leave it? Symptoms are alot less now, just wonder could it also be something to do with the chemical last month.

@indecisivewoman81 so pleased for you!!!! That's great news, to even put your mind at ease further ask the GP to run two sets of bloods to ensure your numbers are doubling every two days. They do say all over the internet that spotting early on is very normal - I had myself convinced it was fine as I had read it over and over until It was too late. So you are likely just settling into pregnancy :)

@Littlebee1990 thinking of you today x

indecisivewoman81 · 21/08/2020 09:00

@Boc86 and @welliedays thank you both! Just phoned the doctors and they told me to self refer to the midwife. All so different from the last time I did it!

Boc86 · 21/08/2020 08:07

Amazing @indecisivewoman81 yay
Aww thinking of you @Littlebee1990
@Mamainmaking1 the aspirin you take all the time so definitely start it, I’ll have to have a look at my vitamin doses

Littlebee1990 · 21/08/2020 08:04

Lovely news @indecisivewoman81, good luck @Welliedays

Supposed to be my 12 week scan today so I’m feeling a little fragile x

Welliedays · 21/08/2020 08:03

You make me so happy @indecisivewoman81 I still need to do another test!

indecisivewoman81 · 21/08/2020 06:49

Just an update.

Once again woke up super early so did the CB digital and the weeks have progressed! Last Saturday I tested it was 1-2 and today it's 2-3.

Morgane777 · 20/08/2020 21:58

@Mamainmaking1 Yes you should start right away. I read that aspirin helps a lot even before. So you can start and continue taking it non-stop. As it's low dose, it should be OK, at least for the first few months of pregnancy. I think one should stop it before the third trimester.
I had a chance to ask a quick question to a doctor today about having two chemical pregnancies in a row... and he told me it was my age (39) Sad. So well, at my age it seems like pretty normal.
A lot of baby dust to as all who are beginning a new cycle of hope! Flowers

Littlebee1990 · 20/08/2020 21:38

Lovely to see some BFP, good luck all!
I’m CD14 and according to apps in my fertile week, no peak OPK yet or increase in temp so don’t think I’ve ovulated yet. Used preseed for the first time tonight so hoping that helps us get a BFP! So far we’ve DTD on CD7, CD9, CD11, CD12 and CD14, the apps guess I’ll ovulate around CD17 so we’re going to DTD on CD16 & CD17 but of course if the OPKS don’t peak we will continue to do every other day until they do!

Hope everyone else is ok xx

indecisivewoman81 · 20/08/2020 20:10

@Mamainmaking1 I hadn't realised that so thank you. I haven't been spotting for two days now so I'm hoping that's a good sign. Going to test tomorrow am and am hoping for an increase in dates on my digital clear blue (last week said 1-2).
I will keep you posted.
I hope you are doing okay?

Welliedays · 20/08/2020 19:27

@Mamainmaking1 ahh thank you, I'll remember that! I was just taking folic acid before and I started taking vit d and vit C this time.. But literally no other changes at all

Mamainmaking1 · 20/08/2020 19:00

Ps, @Welliedays did you take anything different this time?

OP posts:
Mamainmaking1 · 20/08/2020 18:59

@Welliedays fingers crossed for you!! Ans remember if any bleeding starts you can request progesterone! I know I will definatly be keeping that in mind when I get my next BFP and first sign of anything I will be in the gps lol. So exciting for you!!

OP posts:
Welliedays · 20/08/2020 18:57

Ahh thank you @Mamainmaking1, AF was due yesterday, but I give her until probably Sunday or Monday to show her ugly face. Havent tested since Sunday so I might test again this Sunday to check what's happening! It was my first cycle since my chemical, so there is hope for everyone... As long as it sticks this time!!

Mamainmaking1 · 20/08/2020 18:52

Hi everyone sorry I have been busy last few days.

@Welliedays congratulations so pleased for you!!! How are you feeling now? Was this your first cycle after chemical? Giving us all hope over here!

@Boc86 sorry to hear about AF but the chances are higher for a BFP for a few months (I think 6) after chemical from what I read online so fingers crossed , I know it's crappy but keep positive!!

@indecisivewoman81 how has everything worked out for you? I read online today that if you are experiencing spottint early pregnancy you can request progesterone from the GP. Tommy's website has a info sheet you can actually bring with you so just a thought for you if it's still ongoing.
I really wish I had of known that and I would of atleast tried it to see if I could of saved the last pregnancy.

@Morgane777 I am around 3dpo, should I start the asprin now? I have 75mg asprin is that ok to take daily?

@Boc86 I have just bought the procieve vitamins as they are apparently packed full of stuff and I have upped my dose of levothyroxine myself as gp reported my under active thyroid was out of whack a bit last test and reflexology said it was out too but gp said to repeat test in three months? 🙈 What level of vitamin d are you guys taking? I have read good things about b6 and vitamin e for preventing miscarriage, what dosage do you take boc86?

@Boc86 my progesterone came back at 31.9n/mol, as far as I am aware that's just 10.5ml and I think it has to be 10 to be normal ovulation. Makes me think mine is also pretty low and I could possibly benefit also from progesterone. So rubbish when does it end for us!!

How's everything with you @Littlebee1990 ? Have you reached fertile week yet? Fingers crossed for BFP!!!

@Spinksy9 hope you aren't too sick, but its all good in terms of strong pregannccy symptoms :)

@Welliedays between 6 and 7 weeks! I have never run so fast in my life. Just abandoned my trolley at the till and made it to the disabled toilet !
