hello gilly! I was interested to see that your GP wants to just talk to you both first. If we have no luck this month then we will also be going to the GP to put the ball in motion. A friend has announced her pregnancy at work today after 2 cycles ttc, and while I'm thrilled for her, it brings it home that it just doesn't seem to be happening for me, after a LOT longer. Hope the accupunture helps x

Can you tell that my motivation isn't great at work today?

Fi - something to add to your site perhaps? Other cooking opportunities - ds has loved 'making' from an early age. I have lots of Pampered Chef things including the delux mini-muffin pan - he started with this at 14 months (sometimes with pastry, but more often with playdough (homemade)) - you put a small ball in the bottom of the 'cup' and squish it with a wooden tool. These are ideal for children - you can choose what to fill them with to suit your child and they are quite small and easy for children to eat. Great mincepies as they are adult one-bite size and even children manage them in a couple max so don't have collapsing pies allover the carpet.

I now regularly make pizza with him. He loves helping to squidge the dough out over the stone, spread the tomato topping out and put all the toppings over (sometimes needs a hand to get relatively even distribution) - any pizza made like this gets devoured.

Oh, and btw, there is a fantastic foodchopper - I wish I had had mine when ds weaning as it chops to the texture that you want very easily and quickly and is really easy to clean. This is also suitable for older children to use safely as the blades are enclosed

That sounds as though I don't love him to bits, and don't want to spend time with him - not meant to, its just when I'm with him we're doing things together, so I don't get a chance to do much of all the other things that I really need to do done...

Absolutely exhausted. Had training weekend, and found out that the person I was sharing a room with snored. VERY LOUDLY!!!!!!! So very disturbed sleep and quite an intensive weekend. Came back to find dh in strop as he'd had to look after ds who had had 4 accidents on Sat and 3 (so far) on Sun. Needless to say, no more accidents after I turned up (Do you want a wee? No? well, mummy wants a wee any way, so come with mummy...)(and, of course, I'm probably more used to looking for the signs and interpreting them than dh - ds hadn't had any accidents (well, accidents like that anyway - had a fair few of being slightly misplaced on potty or getting up too quickly etc)

Got lots to think about from weekend - feeling very positive. Anyone want a job that can fit around family and give good pay as well? (one of people running course is a sahm with 3 children under 6 inc a 1yo)

Just need 2 or 3 extra days a week now to sort myself out (only need me of course, if ds was around, that wouldn't achieve anything!)

hi Gilly, thanks for the congrats, I feel so excited, but also incredibly anxious. I am in frantic knicker checking mode today as I know it is early enough to easily be a chemical pregnancy postive on the test.

I guess as time goes on I will get more relaxed, but today I am in a right state, especially as Dh & I agreed last time that if this ever happened again we wouldn't tell anyone until 12 weeks - which means you guys are responsible for my sanity for the next eight weeks - sorry!

What good news for a Monday morning. How many tests have you done by now - come on, own up!

Ready - we run a dehumidifier in our bathroom - with this on and the bathroom door shut (we sometimes leave it ajar so that it helps to dry out all of the house) we were able to dry flat nappies overnight, and the shaped cotton ones were only slightly damp by the morning. The bamboo nappies do take longer than this though - which is why we had cotton for the daytime and bamboo (when you could do with the extra absorbtion (sometimes with added padding on top!) at night.

We used mixture - you will sometimes have to change a nappy when you know that you will want to change it again in a short time and there seems little point in using a shaped nappy which you might use later. DH was fine with washables, and was also capable of the very straight-forward fold we used for prefolds (which we found really easy to use in terms of flat nappies) - we just placed a rectangle of folded nappy into a wrap (you just need to get good wraps!)

Just remember, only you will know about what the nappy looks like on the inside, but the wrap might be much more in evidence - some of them are worth having in full view!
