Im hoping he'll get bored of the novelty soon, lol.

What supplements are people taking? I bought Sanatogen Pro-Natal? Is there anything eles I should be doing/taking?

I read a book called Planning A Baby by Dr Sarah Brewer but it scared the beejaysus out of me. My friend made me throw the book away

Ready · 09/10/2007 11:04

Shoes - I like the thinking, the more shots on target the more chance of a goal Finger crossed for you. I have to say I don't think either DH or I could go twice a day every day, but hey ho

shoesarefab · 09/10/2007 10:57

Ready - its a bit of a drain to be honest with you!! But surely, doing it that much must speed up the process?!

shoesarefab · 09/10/2007 10:55

gillydaffodil - I think we'll find come sunday that a dream is all it was :9

Thank god for being regular as clockwork, that way my hopes dont get dashed when i am late

Ready · 09/10/2007 10:55

Spooky nomore , Well it would have been had we not been talking about it the other day

Gilly - YES! Seen the Gap baby stuff

Sybil - Thanks for saying we are fab

Ready · 09/10/2007 10:53

Gilly - Thanks for bigging me up about my temping dedication. Truth is, I have not been doing it properly for a couple of cycles, and I am not temping at all this cycle - It was beginning to get tiresome. Right now I am just using CM as a guide
Do you have full flow for 6 days? Or is it lighter and spotting at the end? Because I have 5-6 days of what I call my period, but the last 2-3 days are light then spotting. I would still look into the herbs just as an accompaniment (sp?) to the acu. Please don't fret about your cycle length, so long as your LP is 10 days that is long enough for a baby to implant. Big hugs, hate the thought of you worrying.

Shoes... - Twice daily - impressive.

nomoremagnolia · 09/10/2007 10:52

nearly bought steel magnolias in hmv the other day - it was £3 in the sale but didn't (don't remember why - think the q was long and i ws fed up and couln't be arsed to wait...)

pmsl - Do you think Cod will come and tell us off for talking about her

Ready · 09/10/2007 10:36

Nomore - Hahahahahaha. I have seen cod yes, I just didn't twig that's what you meant - chuckle - when it is quiet on my usual threads I go for a lurk out in the big bad world of MN. It gets quite brutal sometimes doesn't it

MT - DH is going to take some convincing with the real nappies. And I had intended to go with disposables for the first 8 weeks, just to getused to having a baby, then introduce the real nappies once we were starting to get into a routine. You make it sound very manageable, which is pleasing
What you said about the letter, sorry to hear that you will be monitored forever. You really made me think with your ultra philosophical point about not knowing what else is carried with your post. Very sobering thought when I next complain about a bill or whatever

Shoesarefab - I hope that you don't take very long either - I was just introducing myself Is this your first month actively trying? Or did you start trying as soon as you stopped the pill?

Hope everyone else is brill

nomoremagnolia · 09/10/2007 10:31

thanks mistlethrush, I hope i'm not too!!

Incidentally, I woke at 4:45 this morning absolutely convinced that i'm with child. Couldnt get back to sleep for ages.

I have a feeling it was just wind though

mistlethrush · 09/10/2007 10:13

Gilly - feeling can be different each time. I don't feel euphoric after normally, although I often feel as though a large weight has been taken off - very calm and stress free (whcih is fantastic and makes me wonder whether I'm really safe to drive the car sometimes) - so don't worry if you didn't get a euphoric feeling this time, particularly as it was your first. Last but one time I actually fell asleep. I didn't last time as I had ds with me which was rather taxing!

Ready - No real problem - bucket in bathroom (dry). Every 2 days load of pale washing goes on - put just nappies on rinse cycle to start with, then add rest of load and put on for normal wash (40 degrees normally sufficient) and normal washing powder plus a 'nappy sanitiser'. Great thing about washables is that you don't mind how many you use as you're going to be putting the washing on anyway - so not trying to 'eek' disposable out until you go out (have been there, done that!). You do probably change slightly more often, but that's not a big deal. We didn't get any washables until about 8wks when we got a variety pack to hire to see which sort would fit ds and suit us best. We were surprised about using the prefolds as we had intended getting all shaped, but it must have saved us quite a bit of money. Also look out for packs at NCT sales etc.

Hi Kensgirl - hows it going. How long will you be likely to be checked-up for? Rest of life for me I think (envelope from Sheffield last week ) I wonder how many people realise what sort of things that their letters share the post box/bag with!

Hi Shoesarefab - good luck, hope you're not around for as long as some of us!

Ready · 09/10/2007 10:10

Are cod not good typists?? I have an image of a cod typing pool

Nomore - I am so sorry babe. Big huge hugs. Deep breaths, onwards and upwards flower!! I know it's bloody hard to keep that stiff upper lip. Eat plenty of choc, drink plenty of vino and go rent Steel Magnolias

nomoremagnolia · 09/10/2007 10:01

Ready · 08/10/2007 23:17

shoesarefab - welcome to the thread may I be the first to say you are in good company! We are an awesome bunch of girls
Good luck with the ttc
I have been ttc for a long ol' time now, this is my 14th cycle , so a bit of stalwart (there must be a nicer word I can use there??) .

shoesarefab · 08/10/2007 22:35

Hi all, I am new to mumsnet and threw out my pill mid-august to start trying for a bubba. This after 28yrs of swearing I would never have children!!

I hope I havent jinxed myself....

Ready · 08/10/2007 22:14

I am stuffed, and I didn't even sample the dolcis

Kensgirl - I know what you mean about hearing of other pregnancies. Whilst thrilled, it hammers it home that it isn't happening for us. Hang in there sweets

I just realised that I completely missed a post from Gilly and MT - how on earth did I do that!!

MT - That sounds really good about the nappies drying out times. I really don't want to have to get a tumble dryer if I don't have to. Do you find that it is easy with disposables, just important to get into a routine?? Sorry for all the questions

SMUG! My choice of gift has been chosen

Gilly So pleased that the acupuncture went well. Do you think you might start temping because of what she said? I am sorry you didn't get the euphoric feeling. Have you got to take any herbs? Or is it just the sessions?
It's good that your GP wants to see the both of you together. Your DH is like mine, in saying these things take time. However, there is no harm in getting the preliminary set of tests done. Progesterone and sperm etc, it doesn't mean you have to get referred straight away. If it will help to relax you feeling like you are doing something, then I am sure your DH will indulge.
MIL is in East Anglia, so about an hour from Bluewater, we used to go there alot! Love it. And yes, it does seem to be Bug country
I have never been to Newcastle, shockingly. I have heard that it is amazing for shopping and nights out though Do you miss being there?

Crumbs, what a lot of waffle

Hope everyone is ok?
