Me - well I've been married 5 years, ttc for nearly 2 Am on 4th cycle on Clomid (a drug to make you ov) I have two moggies (who are currently running around the lounge getting spooked by things that aren't there) as substitute babies

3 months and see whats happening. as my bf wont be earning any money (he trades his own money on the stock markets), he is just setting up the arcade whereby he hopes to entice traders over from london to the sun and tax free lifestyle. He may start trading there himself, if so we'll stay.

Alot depends on how quickly I get preggers though :-)

And what about your good self?

nomoremagnolia · 09/10/2007 20:40

Your poor dad
Sunbathing queen? Well if you need a deputy I might be available Sounds fab!! Are you planning on coming back after 3 months or is it 3 months then see what's happening?
Definite re MN

shoesarefab · 09/10/2007 20:33

my other half is setting up a company out there. My official job title will be sunbathing queen

I have my blackberry and laptop so MN connection not a problem

shoesarefab · 09/10/2007 20:31

only 2 lived with me, my parents split up when i was a baby. to cut a long story short, my mum passed away, leaving her second daughter to live with on of her sisters. who is a jehovah's witness. as I went to be with my dad (Roman Catholic upbringing) I became the black sheep and dont see that side of the family anymore!

But yes, it was a very noisy household. My dad still whines about it to this day. lol

nomoremagnolia · 09/10/2007 20:28

and more importantly are you going to be able to get on MN from UAE?

OP posts:
nomoremagnolia · 09/10/2007 20:27

Why are you off to UAE? work?

OP posts:
nomoremagnolia · 09/10/2007 20:25

OP posts:
shoesarefab · 09/10/2007 20:24

Worrying about the fact that im not married, its illegal in the UAE to be knocked up and unmarried.....

shoesarefab · 09/10/2007 20:21

Three younger sisters, one of whom has a little boy who is 1 tomorrow!! She is 7yrs younger than me. She did everything first, bought a house, got engaged, baby etc. Cow!!

nomoremagnolia · 09/10/2007 20:09

oh it's miserable being greasy isn't it? I feel about 13 again
so tell me more about yourself then shoes...nice things, not spots! I'm guessing you like shoes for one...

OP posts:
shoesarefab · 09/10/2007 20:00

nomore - shoes is fine, i'm only using my email address name as my initals (ELH) are taken!

As for spots, since i stopped taking my pill my skin has been disgusting. really big spots on my chin/forehead/cheek(!) etc and then little pimples on my chest and back. It makes me feel really dirty and unclean - however much I wash

nomoremagnolia · 09/10/2007 19:14

hi shoes (are we ok calling you shoes?) and toomuch I get mega emotional (mostly weepy and very 'touchy' - I think everyone's having a go at me) on the clomid - mostly when I'm taking it/straight after rather than at af. Most of my pmt symptoms are physical - before pill I got awful stomach cramps, hot cold fever, after coming off pill - back ache, heavy boobs, on clomid - spotty skin/greasy hair

OP posts:
shoesarefab · 09/10/2007 18:52

yeah, I put it down to the pill though as for the first time last month I got them. I thought I was going to die. Lol.

I never get ratty though, a little tearful sometimes :-)

PiggyPenguin · 09/10/2007 18:44

No period pains, you lucky thing!! Mine are agony for the first day. I also get killer 'foul mood' pms when it starts. DH has been known to beg me to take long baths so that I'll go away and stop being awful to him. I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to not getting that for the next nine months (fingers crossed...)

shoesarefab · 09/10/2007 18:21

toomuch - mine tends to be 3 days and just regular flow. no period pains either and always arrives on the same day each month. I wonder if this has anything to do with my 12yrs on the pill?

toomuchtimeonline · 09/10/2007 14:38

Phew - thanks Gilly! Thought there was something new to worry about.. Sorry to hear about AF!

toomuch hiya
ready just put 'cod' as a word in scrabble thinking you'd be well impressed with my topical-ness but then it was a different game

Afternoon all

Welcome Shoes!! Looks like you've fitted in straight away - welcome to the gang!

Sorry to hear your AF arrived Nomore!

Hello everyone else!

All this talk about full flow for 4 days is scaring me!! I have very light flow for 1 day then full flow for 1 then light again for 1 - does this mean something might be amiss?

I've got pregnacare sitting on a shelf at home getting ignored. I suppose I really ought to be taking it, and if anything actually did happen, I'd be kicking myself. [talks sternly to self]

Friend 'in the business' recommended every 2 - 3 days from day 9 onwards. Shoes 2x a day! 2 x a week would be good! (dh not helping ttc very much)

Ready · 09/10/2007 11:40

Gilly - When I said spotting, that was my polite way of saying the dregs/discharge - Full flow for 4 days sounds about right to me, sounds like you don't need to worry about that then!!

Shoes - I would say just keep taking the pro-natal vits (I take pregnacare, but they are all the same I think) as they are good for you regardless of ttc. And at this early stage I wouldn't worry too much about doing anything different, just enjoy yourselves
