Hey @RoxyMcRoxFace you're spot on.. it's totally overwhelming! Welcome to the TWW 😅 fingers crossed you get your BFP!! Xx

HollyWell · 14/08/2020 22:04

Hello everyone! Could I join please? This is our second month TTC and we haven’t told a soul so I find these groups so helpful and comforting, I love reading about everyone’s stories!
I promised myself that I wouldn’t obsess over TTC and stress myself out so we are not using OPKs etc - but I suspect I will end up on that wagon if we haven’t been successful after a couple of months!
Good luck everyone, keeping everything crossed for you all x

BabyH88 · 14/08/2020 22:03

@RoxyMcRoxFace welcome to the group everyone is lovely here, good luck on your TTC journey 💕

RoxyMcRoxFace · 14/08/2020 21:36

Hi ladies :-) this sounds like just the group for me! I'm in my first ever cycle ttc no.1 eek! I'm so new to this it's a bit overwhelming. I stopped taking the pill 27th July having been on contraception for 11 years without a break. I've been using OPKs with the femometer app and ovulated yesterday so I guess I've officially started my first ever 2ww! I wasnt expecting to ovulate for sometime so surprised it happened so quickly. Not idea when af is due but assume weeks ish

EmmaAM · 14/08/2020 21:01

So today I've caved and bought some CB early response tests 🙈 I've been bloated and crampy and incredibly weepy the past couple of days and I think I just need to try and put my mind to rest! Hope everyone is doing ok 😊

Pinkiii · 13/08/2020 15:03

@somanystars not at all. Like we’ve said, there is never a perfect time. Best of luck on your studies

My husband wanted to try begining of the year and I kept putting putting it off, wanted to save more money and lose baby weight ( which is so silly now) if we had started in jan, we could have potentially been there now and i would be going on Maternity instead of redundancy.

Everything happens for a reason though.

somanystars · 13/08/2020 13:21

@Pinkiii This is probably going to sound mad but I'm actually a student (age 25).... I know mid-university isn't really an ideal time to be TTC but I just feel so ready and like I can worry about everything else later 😅

I'm sorry you were made redundant, that must have been tough. We're in the fortunate position of being able to get by on my husband's income, and also I plan to stay at uni as long as possible (and then defer a year once baby is born) so will be receiving my student loan. I'm also in Scotland as I think I mentioned, so I don't have to worry about actually funding my studies. We're just sort of of the opinion that there'll never be a perfect time, sort of thing, like you could wait forever for the ideal set of circumstances. But I also recognise that we're privileged in that DH's job hasn't been affected by the pandemic and that we're in a financial position to think that way.

Definitely jealous of you generous-bosomed ladies! But you always kinda want what you don't have I suppose 🤣

Pinkiii · 13/08/2020 12:47

@somanystars can i ask a personal question- please don’t answer if you don’t wish to, but its a concern I have so would like other opinions.

Are you worried about being unemployed? And do you plan on finding work during pregnancy?

I’ve just been made redundant and it was a thought that held me back from trying earlier as I knew it was coming but we decided we can manage on my husbands money but I will miss having my own income and certain luxuries

Also really worried about my boobs, they were huge already, firsg baby made them bigger. Can’t imagine what 2nd would do Confused

EmmaAM · 13/08/2020 12:16

I'm completely the opposite and don't think I will be able to stand up straight if mine get much bigger 🙈🙈

Kg87 · 13/08/2020 11:53

@somanystars I’m not blessed in that region either so I am looking forward to the increase in size whenever that comes 😂

somanystars · 13/08/2020 11:30

@EmmaAM @Kg87 Yeah I'm unemployed at the moment so home all the time and definitely focusing on it more because of that! In fact as I type this I'm staring at my boobs in the mirror trying to work out if they're bigger or not 🤣 I'm not particularly blessed in that area so hoping that'll be a noticeable symptom for me?? It really is maddening haha.

Kg87 · 13/08/2020 11:25

@somanystars @EmmaAM
Yeah being on furlough makes it so much harder! I read some threads this morning that made me want to test today 😂 obviously no point but the wait is excruciating! A friend of mine got a faint positive on a cheap strip preg test when she was 7DPO so it’s going to take all my willpower not to test sooner than 10DPO lol

EmmaAM · 13/08/2020 11:09

I'm not doing too badly but I really wish I wasn't furloughed during the TWW. Makes it so much harder when there isn't much else to focus on! The past couple of months I tested early (obviously BFN) and so I'm determined to not test until AF is due. Fortunately I have no tests in the house right now so that does make it a little easier 😂

somanystars · 13/08/2020 10:57

@Kg87 Yeah think I'll be joining you in testing at 10DPO - another week is about as long as I can wait I think!

Kg87 · 13/08/2020 10:50

Hi everyone! All good here as well at 3DPO, had cramps yesterday evening and woke up in the middle of the night desperate for the toilet but putting that down to excessive water intake as it’s been so hot! A few twinges this morning and feeling quite tired and dizzy but again most likely down to the heat! I think I might test next Thursday (20th) which will be 10DPO, I’m so impatient!

BabyH88 · 13/08/2020 10:43

Hey everyone,

Keeping my 🤞🏻 for everyone and feeling for you guys doing the 2ww.

TMI: I have got EWCM so looking hopeful that I will ovulate over the next day or 2.

Anyone near to testing this weekend? 💕

somanystars · 13/08/2020 10:27

@EmmaAM Hi, all good here too! Feeling crampy on and off as well, but just keep trying to tell myself that you can't have symptoms at 3DPO! 🤣 Don't remember feeling so crampy at this stage in other cycles though and - a lil tmi perhaps - I noticed yesterday that my cervix is more tightly closed than I've felt it before (which I know because I've never really been able to tell if it was closed or not but this was quite distinct) so I'm taking that as a good sign.

How is everyone feeling today? After all my complaining about the weather yesterday it turned out to be a beautiful hot day and it's looking quite sunny this morning too 😊

beckyBP · 13/08/2020 10:22

Hey @EmmaAM all good thanks! How are you? (Other than cramps).

AF due around the fact or me too. Feel very very slight cramping but I think I did last month too.

Here goes the loooooong TWW

EmmaAM · 13/08/2020 10:15

Hi guys, how is everyone doing? I'm currently suffering from cramps and hoping against hope that it is because of implantation 🤞🤞 AF is due on 21st so still a while before I can test!

Kg87 · 12/08/2020 12:05

@BabyH88 haha don’t worry I didn’t even notice!

Yes it’s all so strange at the moment isn’t it, hopefully the kids will be back to normal quite quickly.

I know it’s lovely isn’t it! I think it we’ll all be quite excited in the next week or so as we’re all in the same position date wise. Now just got to get through the next few days without going mad!

BabyH88 · 12/08/2020 11:55

@Kg87 how embarrassing I say I am a teacher then write District not distract I blame the phone tbh.

It is going to be strange going back in September not sure how the kids will be.

I love seeing ppl get their BFP gives me more and more hope. 💕

Kg87 · 12/08/2020 11:44

@BabyH88 oh that’ll be a good distraction, something to keep you busy! I’m on furlough in the afternoons for all of August so as soon as I’m home I’m twiddling my thumbs 🙈 hope we get to see some BFPs from everyone at the end of next week/week after 💕

BabyH88 · 12/08/2020 11:21

@Kg87 I'm in the same position as AF came earlier than I thought last month, apps are saying AF is due on the 29th. I will be getting ready to go back to work (I am a teacher) so hopefully that will District me from testing (doubtful) tho.

Kg87 · 12/08/2020 11:12

@somanystars how strange! My sister came round on Sunday when I had my positive OPK, I was waiting for her to leave so we could DTD 😂 ah that’s good you’ve had some time to process it, yes I do wonder what I will crave too, I’m interested to see what it feels like to crave a particular food 😂 I went on the combined pill for 1/2 years when I was 16 and switched to the mini pill, now I’m 29 and just starting to understand my body which is quite shocking but it’s so interesting seeing and feeling the process each month, when you finally ovulate you’re like ‘yes I did it!’ 😂😂

@BabyH88
yeah it is really hard to not symptom spot, I hope it happens this cycle I’m just so impatient as a person in general so I don’t know how I’ll be if it takes months 🙈 Well I’m not entirely sure when AF is really due, I had 25 day cycles up until this cycle so AF was originally due on 17th but late ovulation has pushed it to 22nd/23rd I think so maybe I’ll just do a cheapie late next week maybe 21st or something. What about you?

BabyH88 · 12/08/2020 10:56

@Pinkiii I think that is the best way to look at it, I defo put pressure on the first month as you think it will happen so quickly but now I am feeling a bit more chilled about it (until my 2ww) 😂
