As soon as AF disappears, which will be soon 🤞 me & my partner will be ttc :)
I've been keeping an eye on my cycles for a little while using the flo app & have been taking pregnacare.
Is there anything else we should know or do to help prepare ourselves? :)
Exited to go on this roller coaster of a journey & as no one knows of our plans would be lovely to hear off people ttc too :) xx

This is our first month trying to conceive. My period was supposed to start today (23rd August) but on Wednesday 19th I had some dark brown spotting when I wiped. Early hours of Thursday I had what I think may have been my period, wasn’t very heavy but wasn’t light either, looked like it was mixed and a bit watery too. Friday I stopped bleeding around 11, changed my pad then and nothing else. Could I have just had a really short period or could this have been A heavier implantation bleeding? Think I’m clutching at straws and hoping for something that’s not there.

@rosiej95 I see you’ve been off the pill for a while and tracking cycles which is good.

I’m pregnant just now after about 18months ttc. We went to the drs and had been added to the IVF list and then tada! I’m much older than you though.

Tips I’ve picked up along the way. Definitely track cycles, the Ovia app is pretty good but don’t simply trust when it says you’ll ovulate. I did eventually try ovulation sticks but I was getting desperate so I wouldn’t say you need them yet.

Dr advised us to have sex every other day throughout the ovulation period so that you maximise chances that you don’t miss the ovulation day. He also said to make sure partner has an ahem deposit every other day up to and around ovulation (if we didn’t have chance to have sex) reason being apparently dead sperm can build up and so your bit getting his best swimmers!

Start taking a pre natal vitamin, although I’m sure you will be.

The biggest and hardest thing to do is relax and try and not make sex a chore.

Sorry @somanystars it sucks!

Girls I'm going mad.. AF due today had the teeniest bit of blood in CM earlier when I wiped (Soz) and now CM is quite yellow (again, sorry!) more than normal. Feeling very much internally like AF is en route but holding onto a tiny bit of hope!

somanystars · 21/08/2020 20:09

AF got me 😩😩 To be expected really as it's only cycle 1 but still feeling a little down. I was kind of hoping that even if AF had to come it could hold off just a little as I'm concerned about my 10 day LP and was hoping it might lengthen a bit as it's now been three months since I came off hormonal BC. Ah well. DH and I are going to watch a rubbish film and eat some sweets I think.

rosieb060 · 21/08/2020 18:22

Sorry @beckyBP

beckyBP · 21/08/2020 18:05

I tested this morning 10dpo BFN! 👎🏽

rosieb060 · 21/08/2020 16:29

@rosiej95 apparently, it's worth DTD in a quality way- high quality DTD = better sperm?

www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2009/mar/22/fertility-problems-relationships

'The better their quality of love-making, the greater their chances of conception, scientists say. What one fertility expert calls "gourmet sex" - where both partners take time to ensure the other has a satisfying experience - gives a couple the best chance of producing a baby.'

rosieb060 · 21/08/2020 16:27

@maudesid Yesterday I was desperate to find out and be pregnant, today I feel really calm and ready to take all the time in needs.

This whole thing messes with your head.

rosiej95 · 21/08/2020 16:26

@maudesid very! So easy to get sucked into it!
I've told my partner I want to start taking it a bit more seriously & DTD a lot more next cycle 😂
I don't think it helps cause every little thing your like ooo is that a symptom? 🙈

It's crap isn't it?! We all know it is unlikely to happen straight away and will probably take a little while but then you actually start ttc and you get sucked straight in. I keep thinking I really hope I'm pregnant by Christmas..

rosiej95 · 21/08/2020 12:16

@maudesid Sorry to hear AF arrived.

I tested yesturday using a clear blue 6 days early & thought I seen a line but then done the digital this morning & it said not pregnant so Ive assumed I'm out for this month as I'm due AF at the end of the weekend.

rosieb060 · 21/08/2020 11:05

@maudesid oh I'm sorry to hear.

I'm holding off til Sunday, or maybe even Monday.

I go in cycles of feeling like I need to test NOW, and feeling more like- everything in its time, if I leave it, my body will let me know either way!

somanystars · 21/08/2020 11:03

@maudesid BFN on a FRER at 11DPO over here so thinking I'm probably out :(

maudesid · 21/08/2020 10:10

Anyone tested yet? AF arrived yesterday so it's a no over here and was a 42 day cycle which is so frustrating. Feel like I don't know my body at all!

rosieb060 · 19/08/2020 20:52

Thank you @beckyBP Smile

beckyBP · 19/08/2020 19:48

That all sounds very positive @rosieb060 especially the bleed. 🤞🏽 for you x

rosieb060 · 19/08/2020 16:37

Trying. Terrified & excited. Hoping I might be pregnant- AF due Friday, and at latest Sunday.

I had three days of light bleeding about six days after I think I ovulated, so keeping my fingers crossed. I have also been exhausted, very sleepy slightly nauseous at times, and had some cramping on one side. All of this is really unusual for me.

I haven't tested yet, but just cried at the thought I might get a negative.

Brendon7 · 19/08/2020 15:16

Hi, something I haven’t seen mentioned is the use of a menstrual cup or disc which is what I like to do after dtd.

So after dtd I like to insert a menstrual cup of disc straight away this keeps a lot of the sperm inside and gives them only one way to travel, to the cervix .

rosiej95 · 19/08/2020 11:16

Hi
How are you all doing? :)

I'm 10dpo & getting a little impatient on testing now 😂
I've ordered a couple of tests tho now so will test when they come 😊

@maudesid I've actually told quite a few people 🙈 unintentionally but because our plans changed when our wedding postponed I felt like I had to talk it through.

5 of my closest friends know, my mum, sister in law.. oh.. and hairdresser 😂 and my fiancé of course 🤷🏼‍♀️

rosiej95 · 15/08/2020 14:16

@maudesid
We haven't because we want it to be a surprise 😊
Like you say they might ask you constantly & expect the announcement.
Sounds like your DH is exited 🥰
has he told them because it's a friend to talk to about it all? 😊 xx

OP posts:
maudesid · 15/08/2020 12:13

Have any of you told anyone that you are ttc? I don't really want to because I think people will be waiting for an announcement but DH has mentioned it to a couple of his close friends just wondered what other people do

rosiej95 · 14/08/2020 23:45

@beckyBP 😂😂 I've gotta be honest Ive been to busy using doctor google on tww symptoms to look at anything else.
Bet there's some really nice things tho! 🥰

@pickle2020 hi 👋
Its definitely an experience this whole ttc 😂.
Ahh that's good so You haven't got long to wait before you can test! how exiting :D
Good luck! 🍀 xx

Hey all! This is our first month of ttc.. I’m constantly googling every little twinge to see if it’s a sign, it’s so hard not to get obsessed! AF is due Wednesday so hoping she won’t come.. good luck everyone Smile

beckyBP · 14/08/2020 19:22

@rosiej95 Totally!

Anyone else obsessed with looking at baby clothes, prams, nursery furniture and decor?

Asking for a friend!
