As soon as AF disappears, which will be soon 🤞 me & my partner will be ttc :)
I've been keeping an eye on my cycles for a little while using the flo app & have been taking pregnacare.
Is there anything else we should know or do to help prepare ourselves? :)
Exited to go on this roller coaster of a journey & as no one knows of our plans would be lovely to hear off people ttc too :) xx

@beckyBP how are you doing this morning? I'm hoping AF has stayed away for you 🤞

😂 @maudesid well at lease your consistent eh!

I'm pretty sure AF is coming.. early and any second now 😩

maudesid · 16/10/2020 18:03

@beckyBP @Amy259 I mean I've never been a go with the flow type so at least DH is used to it!

beckyBP · 15/10/2020 21:12

🙌🏽🙌🏽 @Amy259 isn't it THE WORST as well when your other half says.. 'ahh I get why you're so moody, you're due on' 😑
I mean does he not get how that just winds me up a treat?!

I get super anxious now at different stages of the month. I used to be the most chilled, laid back, go with the flow type of girl but the older I get the more anxious I get! X

Amy259 · 15/10/2020 20:46

@maudesid, @beckyBP I’m like a rollercoaster all month! Fine just after af, pretty relaxed, then stressed on the run up to ov about dtd, then content and happy for about a week, then symptom spotting - then finally a witch in the 2-3 days before af or anxious about every little twinge!

beckyBP · 15/10/2020 20:38

@Amy259 & @maudesid AF due for me on Monday. She's not welcome though so hopefully she stays away and there's something better going on in there 🤞🏽 PMA!!

I know what you mean @maudesid my emotions are ALLLL over the shop throughout the month! The joys of being a woman though eh!

maudesid · 15/10/2020 20:31

@beckyBP not long to wait then hopefully what day are you expecting (hopefully not!) AF?
@Amy259 I think mine is due next Thurs/Fri, I have to say I cannot believe the comparison in my mental state to pre-ovulation! The almost 2 weeks leading up to fertile week I was miserable, stressed and convinced it will never happen, manically googling and now I feel weirdly calm about it all and like if it's not this month then onto the next..I can't believe the change but at least I'm not panicking at least for now!

Amy259 · 15/10/2020 17:23

Hi everyone!

@maudesid I haven’t really thought about the school year weirdly but I did say the other day I wouldn’t choose a December baby. I remember growing up (and even now at 30!) friends who have birthdays around Christmas/NY always feeling forgotten about. But I suppose if it happens it happens!

@rosiej95 delighted af has gone for you! Here’s to this cycle 🤞🏻

@beckyBP that’s great that you haven’t had a bad tww! So when is af due now? I’m 7dpo with af due on Tuesday and not much to report!

beckyBP · 15/10/2020 16:19

How are we all doing?

I'm 11dpo today.. tbh I haven't had a lot of time to think about it this month so the TWW hasn't been so excruciating (silver lining).

I've got some weird pulling cramps but they are probably the same cramps I get pre AF every month.

Other than that totally symptomless (coming from queen 👸🏼 of symptom spotting/googling)

I don't plan on testing.. but I've said that every month and tested 😂 we shall see!

beckyBP · 15/10/2020 16:12

It's funny how we try to plan around our lives when in reality it just doesn't work like that does it.

I plan on taking a year maternity leave and I literally can't wait 😂.

rosiej95 · 15/10/2020 15:51

@maudesid Ive always said I would try avoid a November/December baby because it's my busiest time at work, but now I'm like 🤷🏼‍♀️ if it happens it happens, cause now i don't think I could put it on hold 😂
Would be lovely to have maternity leave in the summer tho 😍😂

OP posts:
beckyBP · 15/10/2020 15:09

@maudesid wow I've never thought of it like that! I just always wanted a summer baby 😂

maudesid · 15/10/2020 14:56

@beckyBP just because the child will be the youngest in the year, as I say this is very related to my job and there is a huge difference in our little ones that go to school having just turned 4 in July/August and those that are almost 5. I know plenty of people born in August who have never struggled it is just something I am wary of being in my area of work. But as I say I haven't stopped trying it is just a though that if I could have magical control over my body and you could just pick the due date out of thin air I'd not choose it haha. On the flip side you do have to sort an extra year of childcare for an autumn baby than a summer baby haha
(I am very aware that a baby at any time is a huge privilege just to clarify)

lilacflower12 · 15/10/2020 14:37

My apps are saying I'll ovulate today or tomorrow, no positive OPK yet though so we'll see. I'm stressing that I won't ovulate but as long as it happens this week I'll be happy Smile

lilacflower12 · 15/10/2020 14:36

@maudesid I wouldn't avoid it but I did have the chat earlier with my DP about how our baby would be the youngest in its year! He was one of the eldest and I was middle so I don't know how I feel about possibly having a young one!

beckyBP · 15/10/2020 14:26

Why do people avoid it @maudesid ? Clearly I'm not in education 😂

Back when I was naive and thought you could pick the month your child would be born (LOL) I always wanted an August baby!

Hope we're all ok today. Super sunny here which is giving me life 🙌🏽

maudesid · 15/10/2020 10:25

Thanks @rosiej95, glad you're free of AF sending lot's of luck for this month!

This may be controversial but has anyone thought about this/next month giving a July/August due date. The only reason I probably consider it is because I work in education and I wonder how many people try to avoid it (lot's if you read mumsnet haha). Obviously I haven't avoided it but I do consider it..

rosiej95 · 14/10/2020 19:23

@maudesid I hope your feeling better soon ❤️

Af has finally gone 🎉 now for a fresh month!
Told my boyfriend to be prepared,we're going to be giving it the best shot we can this month 😂

Dr has put me on antibiotics but she said they are safe for pregnancy just in case, bloody typical I knew sex was bad for me haha! How are you feeling @RLou3?

RLou3 · 14/10/2020 15:34

@maudesid oh no!!! I had one a few months ago and thankfully didn’t need antibiotics. I drank SO much water and cranberry juice!!! Keep drinking!!!!! Xxxx

maudesid · 14/10/2020 15:08

Girls I'm 2dpo and think I have my first water infection in 10 years :( it's so painful I've come home from work but really worried about going on antibiotics in the tww!! Currently drinking cranberry juice and waiting for the doctor to call me back, could cry!

Amy259 · 13/10/2020 17:36

Hi @xoriea I’m going to potentially be a little controversial here!

I asked my gynae this when my coil was removed (had to get it taken out in hosp as they couldn’t find it!) and she said that I could drink until a positive test, given I’d be testing around when my next period was due. Basically because I’m TTC, I would know at/around 4weeks (2 weeks post ov) and the likelihood of any harm done at that point is slim to none.

That being said, there’s lots of benefits to not drinking to excess when ttc anyway! But if I had a celebration fall near the beginning of my tww, I’d probably still have a glass of wine or two. But everyone is different so I wouldn’t have a drink if it’ll just worry you - just do whatever you’re most comfortable with until you see that bfp 🥰

xoriea · 13/10/2020 17:11

Great, thank you!

beckyBP · 13/10/2020 17:06

Hey @xoriea it stands for two week wait so the two weeks post ovulation.

Personal I tend not to drink in the TWW either. Just personal preference! X

xoriea · 13/10/2020 16:49

What does tww stand for? Thanks ☺️
