As soon as AF disappears, which will be soon 🤞 me & my partner will be ttc :)
I've been keeping an eye on my cycles for a little while using the flo app & have been taking pregnacare.
Is there anything else we should know or do to help prepare ourselves? :)
Exited to go on this roller coaster of a journey & as no one knows of our plans would be lovely to hear off people ttc too :) xx

Hi girls xx omg well the tiredness is like nothing I've ever experienced - I'm falling asleep on the sofa every night by 7:30!!! Then husband wakes me up about 9 and I go up to bed and sleep solidly through to 7:30!! It's crazy! I just feel shattered! Also the horrible vivid dreams have been happening for about a week and a half now! I'm having such horrible dreams and they seem so real. Dreaming about people that I haven't seen or thought about for years.. and usually they end up dead!!! Honestly it's mental! Other than that. I'm good. Totally forget about being pregnant sometimes! Really wonder when it will feel real!!! Also boobs KILL in the morning, walking from bed to bathroom. How are you getting on @maudesid ?? Any updates?

@rosiej95 not to get your hopes up even more but that sounds so promising!!! When will you test? I got my BFP on 8DPO!

@beckyBP & @Amy259 how are you 2 girls feeling about it all? Xxxx

Xxxxxxx

beckyBP · 27/10/2020 10:07

@rosiej95 you don't normally get these pains do you? Hopefully this is a good sign 🤞🏽🤞🏽

All good thanks doll. I'm CD 9, DTD last night and will hopefully do it every other day. Not tracking my cycle so far but might start again. It's so hard to no how best to manage it isn't it?

I did put my legs up for 10 mins last night after for the first time ever 😂

rosiej95 · 26/10/2020 22:36

@beckyBP haven't had any more spotting but having a few cramps. Still googling like mad too 😂 it's so hard to not get my hopes up this month now 😂🙈
How are you getting on? 😊

@rosieb060 hope it goes away soon for you, there not the nicest 😔

rosieb060 · 26/10/2020 21:22

@beckyBP Confusedit's so unbelievably painful!

beckyBP · 26/10/2020 20:56

How you doing @rosiej95

@rosieb060 I haven't! Bless you that sounds horrendous!

How is everyone doing? And our two BFPs @maudesid & @RLou3

Xx

rosieb060 · 26/10/2020 18:55

Has anyone else been getting crazy painful UTIs since TTC? I never had them before and this is my fourth in six months...

maudesid · 26/10/2020 18:05

@rosiej95 I had no spotting but had pain 6dpo which was my only symptom other than sore boobs

rosiej95 · 25/10/2020 19:09

App says I'm not due AF for another 10 days I've got really bad period cramps. I thought 5dpo would be to soon for implantation from what I've googled 🤔
Will keep an eye now then and continue googling 😂🙈

OP posts:
beckyBP · 25/10/2020 18:42

5dpo would be an early period wouldn't it? It very well could be implantation! 🤞🏽 for your xxx

maudesid · 25/10/2020 15:36

@rosiej95 that could be implantation try not to panic just yet, crossing everything for you! I'm in worcstershire so also not far from Birmingham!

Happythoughts91 · 25/10/2020 14:12

@rosiej95 I believe you can spot due to implantation and the cramps may be due to that too? Don’t give up hope just yet. Your only 5 days past ovulation. Xxx

rosiej95 · 25/10/2020 13:12

I've started spotting with what i would class as start of AF & I'm having cramps I'm 5dpo according to my app & it feels like AF is coming 😔

Thank you @maudesid @beckyBP @rosiej95 for your replies! ☺️

I am hoping this is just a big anomaly and I will return to my regular cycles in the next month or so. I have no idea at what point your dr decides you can have hormone tests etc after coming off pill... 🤷🏻‍♀️

Interesting you ask re: vitamins, I was taking Elevit (sorry, I’m living in Australia now and I don’t think the brands are the same - but it’s a prenatal vit with an extreme amount of iron). I stopped taking it approx 2 weeks ago as I struggle with IBS and it wasn’t helping at all; after researching a bit I found it did not agree with a lot of women. Now I’m on a 500mcg folic acid/ 150mcg iodine supplement.

rosiej95 · 24/10/2020 10:42

@CardioQueen hey 👋 😊
are you taking any vitamins? I took seven seas last month & it delayed AF
Not been on the pill for a good few years now so can't remember how long it took to settle them?

@Happythoughts91 so hard not to symptom spot 🙈 Sounds good tho!

@maudesid how lovely is he!! 🥰 So exiting for you! 😁
I'm not far from Birmingham wbu? 😊

beckyBP · 24/10/2020 09:29

Welcome @CardioQueen I haven't been on the pill for years so not much help I'm afraid! I think it's normal to take a few months for your cycle to get to normal though. 51 days is such a pain though. Hopefully after this cycle you'll be back to normal.

@maudesid how wonderful for your DH to say that!! Bless him. It will all sink in soon and you'll be feeling all excited

beckyBP · 24/10/2020 09:26

@Happythoughts91 we were the 13th we did rebook first September but it would have had to of been a tiny wedding which we didn't want!

Ah great to hear you're rebooked! I think we're just going to wait until 2022.

🤞🏽 the next 7 days go quickly for you. I'm on CD 6 so just finished AF and ready to go again. We're Wales so in a two week lockdown again now so hopefully lots of time to DTD 😂

maudesid · 24/10/2020 09:19

Thank you @beckyBP I'm in complete shock!

@rosiej95 no way, whereabouts? (DM if you don't want to post?) I'm feeling an anxious mess to be honest, but when DH finally got home I told him and he said he felt like he'd won the lottery so at least one of us is not panicking haha!

@CardioQueen thank you! I was on the pill from 16 - 27 (came off last February) and my periods didn't really settle, I had my withdrawal bleed and then my cycles ranged from 32 - 45 I only started tracking ovulation in September so not sure what was happening before that but September I ovulated around day 23 and this cycle was around 18. No point me telling you to relax because I got into a state every cycle wondering where AF was! Wishing you all the luck in the world with your journey

CardioQueen · 24/10/2020 02:46

Hi all Smile

I am new here. I haven’t read the whole thread but congratulations to @maudesid !!

Not sure if I’m on the right thread but just seeing if anyone else was super slow to get back into regular cycles after coming off the pill? I have always been like clockwork when I’ve not been on the pill or implant - been on and off since I was 17, now 33.

I came off 3 months ago, had standard withdrawal bleed, had a normal period after 37 days, started tracking my cycle, doing OPKs etc - lots of flashing smileys (10 days worth) but no static. And then...no period. Did a test and got BFN. This cycle has now been 51 days long.

I am a notorious stresshead and get far too worked up about things. This inevitably does not help! Probably scared AF off. Anyway was just seeing if anyone had any experience of this. Hope everyone is keeping safe and well.

Thank you Smile

Happythoughts91 · 23/10/2020 23:13

@beckyBP oh wow!! What date was you? We was the 6th. At the moment we rebooked for next June, the 5th. And we’re just going to see how it goes, giving it until February time. If we fall pregnant then we will postpone if not we will still get married.

I’m 7 days past peak ovulation so I’m guessing next Friday? Although I really want to do a test before but I’m going to hold off and try not to be emotional excited being the first month etc.

How are you getting on? Xx

beckyBP · 23/10/2020 22:16

@Happythoughts91 ah how crazy! We were also meant to get married in June after 12 years together!! And also.. aren't prepared to put our lives on hold!

Sounds like you've definitely covered your fertile window! Well done. And on the symptom spotting.. I think we'd all love to not but it's just so so hard not to! How much longer have you got left to wait?

Xxx

Happythoughts91 · 23/10/2020 21:25

Thank you everyone!

It’s been lovely reading everyone stories and knowing we’re all going through the same thing. As it’s certainly over whelming!

This is our first month of TTC for baby #1. We was due to get married in June after 12 years together but obviously that didn’t happen and we didn’t want to put our lives on hold any more.

I came off the pill and had my withdrawal bleed. I’ve got the app Ovia, and thought it wouldn’t be accurate and my cycle would be all over the okay to start with. But I used the clear blue OPK When the app said my fertile week. Had one morning of nothing. Then 3 days of a flashing face and then had the peak. We DTD every day in the fertile week lol I guess we was both eager being the first month.

I’m now in my TWW and definitely symptoms spotting. I guess it’s hard not too. I don’t expect it to happen straight away, I’ve already told myself that I’m going to struggle. I’m literally a worrier and believe everything bass happens to me. Strange I know but I’ve always been the same lol.

I’m also noticing so many baby announcements everywhere. My Instagram is flooded with all things babies. Probably I’m just noticing it more than ever now though.

Anyway I’m rambling. I hope your all doing okay xxx

beckyBP · 23/10/2020 20:41

@rosiej95 sorry love. I agree though, they don't fully get it!

@maudesid omg!!!!! Amazing news! Congratulations doll ❤️❤️ so so happy for you!!!

welcome @Happythoughts91 of course you're welcome to join us!! How's your journey going?
@rosiej95 is right, this is the best thread!! Xxx

rosiej95 · 23/10/2020 20:28

@maudesid this is absolutely amazing! Congratulations on your bfp!! 😁
How are you feeling? 🥰
I'm in West Midlands too 😊

@Happythoughts91 hey 👋
It's actually pretty lonely not having anyone to speak to about ttc isn't it. none of our friends and family know so I love this little thread.

OP posts:
maudesid · 23/10/2020 19:23

@Amy259 I'm in the west midlands, I think at the moment it's still on your own for scans and appointments. I would definitely consider a private scan if it meant I wasn't alone but also don't want to think that far..

maudesid · 23/10/2020 19:21

Thank you @Happythoughts91!

@RLou3 Honestly I have imagined the moment for years and yet I reacted so differently to how I expected! DH train gets in at 8.30 I can't eat stomachs churning really hope he's pleased! I think I was so utterly convinced this would be at least 6 months I'm not ready for it mentally but I'm sure I just need to breathe and it will sink it. Already nervous about every negative scenario! How are you now? Have you rung the GP ect?
