As soon as AF disappears, which will be soon 🤞 me & my partner will be ttc :)
I've been keeping an eye on my cycles for a little while using the flo app & have been taking pregnacare.
Is there anything else we should know or do to help prepare ourselves? :)
Exited to go on this roller coaster of a journey & as no one knows of our plans would be lovely to hear off people ttc too :) xx

@heybabes every day ☺️ I should’ve been taking them anyway really, whether or not we were ttc, I didn’t even consider they’d affect my cycle never mind in a good way!

heybabes · 13/01/2021 09:32

@Amy259 oooh interesting! Did you take it every day or just up until ovulation? I’d be interested in adding it anyway as I don’t eat fish so miss a lot of fatty acids etc.

meganlea · 13/01/2021 09:26

@Amy259 What a good approach though to be feeling completely zen about it all at this stage. So you should though, you've done everything you needed to do it's just such an inconvenience this waiting around malarkey. The no symptoms is always a good sign I've heard that from so many people. Only time will tell!! (I'm so sick of hearing that saying but it's so true)

Amy259 · 13/01/2021 09:04

@heybabes it could be complete coincidence but I’ve had 33-35 day cycles all my life (well at least since 14 anyway!) and have been tracking etc since July last year, tried a fair few supplements etc. Then two months ago I added omega 3 to my supplements - not even just for ttc, I’m veggie and figured I’d be deficient which isn’t good in general but also for ttc. Aaaanyway, those two cycles I’ve ovulated 5/6 days earlier, on day 14/15, meaning my cycle last month was 6 days shorter and this month should be the same. Just thought I’d mention, it could be totally unrelated but it’s all I’ve changed.

@meganlea I’m sure that’s totally normal, they say it’s around 6 weeks it all hits you so try not to stress too much. Glad you’ve found that group though, what a great help!

Yeah 8dpo, well remembered! Zero symptoms, not even pre-af symptoms yet - normally by now I’m starting to get super bloated and my boobs slightly tender, but that could arrive any day now. Also have two small chin spots which is really unlike me, but could be unrelated - quite a stressy time just now. I’m weirdly not feeling that crazy about it yet... like I was saying, this cycle I feel oddly accepting of the fact I won’t be pregnant. Don’t even have tests in the house! Which is unheard of, normally I’d start testing at 8/9dpo 😂

Katelyn99 · 13/01/2021 08:58

Thank you @heybabes, sending lots of baby dust your way!

Katelyn99 · 13/01/2021 08:55

@beckyBP @Amy259 @meganlea I can't quite believe it yet but I'm absolutely over the moon and feeling so lucky!

Thank you @meganlea for the link 😊

heybabes · 13/01/2021 08:51

Congrats @Katelyn99 - so nice to see all these pregnancies coming through. Encouraging for a newbie joining this thread 😊

I’m on CD6 so getting into the full swing of my second cycle. Going all out this time - temping every morning when I wake up, taking Evening Primrose Oil & Starflower oil to increase CM, SO is also taking Wellman conception vitamins and I said to myself I’d wait until after this cycle to start, but I caved so I’ve also taken Soy Isoflavones. I’ve heard a lot of success stories for these and I’ve only had 2 cycles under 35 days (with no diagnosed problems like PCOS or anything) for the last 2 years so hoping these will help 😊

meganlea · 13/01/2021 08:47

@rosiej95 @beckyBP I put it in me, but only a small amount, no more than 1g as it looked like too much lol.

@Amy259 I'm okay thank you, joined a lot of FB support groups so I don't feel alone and that's helping massively. Still not really any proper symptoms at all! Boobs still feel pre AF, frequently urinating but I'm drinking more water now and that's it really. I should be around 16/17DPO right now and nothing ...I'm grateful but worried too.

How are you doing, you'll be around 8DPO now won't you? Bet the weekend can't come quick enough just so you know what's what! xx

A link to a small FB group I found the other day, 112 members atm mostly UK lot, with September 2021 due dates if you want to join, I've found it's a lovely little supportive group so far. xx

meganlea · 13/01/2021 08:36

@Katelyn99 omg congratulations!! I can see that line from a mile off! How are you feeling?

Amy259 · 13/01/2021 08:35

Ahhh @Katelyn99 congratulations! This is a great thread this month!!

@beckyBP @meganlea how are you pair doing? Xxx

beckyBP · 13/01/2021 08:33

@rosiej95 I honestly think that's what did it for us and also, I didn't put it inside.. we put it on him. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Katelyn99 yaaaaay! Congratulations doll 🥳🥳🥳 how do you feel? X

Katelyn99 · 13/01/2021 08:26

@beckyBP Congratulations!

I'm 11/12dpo today and yesterday I thought I saw a vvfl on an IC so I bought a clearblue early detection test to see if I just had line eyes
But today I got my BFP!

Our first month ttc our first
rosiej95 · 11/01/2021 21:22

@beckyBP @meganlea
Ooo well that's me sold on it ha I've just ordered some 😂

AF was a couple of days late (very cruel of her) so I'm day 3 she usually sticks around for a week so hopefully she'll go soon 🤞🏻

It's my birthday at the beginning of feb so hopefully I'll get a nice little birthday present 😂😍

Thank you @heybabes and @rosiej95!!

I second that @beckyBP was my first cycle using preseed! Xx

beckyBP · 11/01/2021 20:08

Thanks @rosiej95 it doesn't feel real and I feel super anxious but hopefully that'll go!

Oh Noo! How long until AF finishes? Yes!! Brilliant attitude. Looking forward to lots more BFPs!

I haven't tracked ov for a few months but I think it was preseed that did it for us! Xx

rosiej95 · 11/01/2021 18:21

this is just the best news ever guys!

Congratulations to you both! 😍😍
There lovely strong lines!

AF is causing me havoc right now. She needs to hurry up and disappear because I'm so exited to get cracking this month 😂 you guys have given me some right motivation with your bfp! 😍
I think I'm going to give it this one month of going with the flow. Then if it still doesn't happen I will be getting some ovulation sticks.

@meganlea ah thanks doll. it didn't work for me! England only! I'll work it out later.

@heybabes thanks hun! Sending you lots of positive vibes! You've got this 💪🏽

heybabes · 11/01/2021 11:34

Congrats to both pregnancies this week! Amazing news! My AF had just finished - CD4 - so keeping everything crossed for my second cycle and better luck this time! X

meganlea · 11/01/2021 11:05

@beckyBP I found out this morning that we don't actually have to go through our GP, so you might just be able to avoid that friend! You can refer yourself at your local hospital, it's on the NHS website, just type pregnant NHS and it'll be on one of the first pages, I think you just put your postcode in and it will tell you who/where to ring. xx

beckyBP · 11/01/2021 10:34

@meganlea I was wondering when to call the GP but my friend works there so I don't want to do it too soon 😂

That is crazy though that we're just left to it. I don't know what to bloody do?!

beckyBP · 11/01/2021 08:40

@Amy259 I have got everything crossed for you! You bloody deserve it.

Totally! I think I'll do a few more tests and take it from there.

Thank you again doll. Honestly you've been bloody amazing xxx

meganlea · 11/01/2021 08:40

@beckyBP and you us, girl! Don't know how I'd have stayed sane without this thread. So thank you!! Can't believe you've just got your BFP! That's 2 this week alone! ....... Lets hope it comes in 3s @Amy259 I've got all of my fingers and toes crossed we need you in this!!!!

Also, do not expect much from you GP appointment, just called them thinking that's what you do and they might prescribe me with some folic acid tablets and give me some advice on how to look after my mind and body for the next 8 months, but no?! The receptionist said 'You only ring the GP if you're ill, I'll give your name and address to the midwife who'll either ring you or send you a letter for your 12 week scan'. Like ....WHAT!!! I need a Dr to hold my hand, I wanted to tell them how bloody petrified I am, I wanted some advice/resources, I wanted the bloody tablets you have to take for the first 12 weeks lol. Looks like I'll be spending the morning researching all of this and getting my own tabs. So confused lol

Amy259 · 11/01/2021 08:27

@beckyBP I need to up my game - you pair are leaving me behind!! 😂😂 fingers crossed some of your good fortune rubs off on me too.

I bet, but I’m sure feeling anxious is totally normally and sadly just part of this wee start bit. So happy for you xx

beckyBP · 11/01/2021 08:11

@Amy259 @meganlea Thanks you girls! I'm
Really happy, super anxious though! I've ordered a load more tests.

You girls have bloody got me through this process. Thank you so so much x

meganlea · 11/01/2021 08:08

@beckyBP Wow!! That is one solid line!! Congratulations girl!! I'm so happy for you :) How do you feel?? xxx
