TTC after MC - August 2020 (Thread 9)

@chloedancer897 I hope it's a bfp. Sounds like you'll be testing around the same time as us all. I'm not feeling hopeful - no symptoms. But then I have no symptoms of AF either. I do have CM, in varying amounts, but I just don't think it's anything exciting.

@VP91x those bloody OPKs! What's going on?? Yeah just book your bloods anyway. I feel the same, I'm sure it's the heat 🥵

@SmileyT interesting about the nails. I'm a biter and they are normally so short because of training, and today I just noticed how long they are. I've never seen them like it.

@VP91x I really don’t know, hopefully I have ovulated later 🤞. Thought legoland was good but went on Thursday and it was really hot and didn’t think there was that much shade. There were quite big queues for the bigger rides (75 mins!) but as my son is 4 we just went on the smaller rides anyway and queued for about 20-30 mins. How did you find it? Hope you have a good time at chessington tomorrow. I haven’t been there in years! X

@Pugprincess we are only on episode 10 so we've still got about 20hours if this one to get through but nice to know there is another one on the horizon 👌🏾

@MichT4 my nails are looking much better than they have in ages but not sure if that's just because I'm not playing netball and cutting them every week 😂 MAFSA is just too funny but each episode is actually quite long it's taking me much longer than my normal binges x

@MichT4 AF due on 13th so trying to hold off until 12DPO. Dying to test now but I'll just get a BFN and then I'll be gutted!

Quick and random question - does anyone's nails grow stupid quick from hormones? One hand in particular, they've sprouted longer than ever out of nowhere! 💅🏼

@MichT4 @2020wish Yeah I think I'm just gonna class this as af it's been going on 3 days with pains as well now and it's not too dissimilar from some periods I've had in the past. It's the reading I've done about Ashermans that's made me more paranoid I think but that is supposed to be very rare.

@Firevie I'm so sorry that you're going through this. Try not to stress too much. I'd be absolutely livid too, I guess he just got carried away. I'm sure he didn't intend to hurt you or to ruin his chances at travelling. Men have a one track mind sometimes!!!

An update from me (Mrs I swore I wouldn't symptom spot!) and also TMI but my CM is quite thick and runny, there's a good bit of it too. I don't normally get that on the run up to my period but here, stranger things have happened! Anyone know if this is a sign? Humour me anyway, I'm going nuts! 9DPO today 😐

So went for that scan yesterday and today I have pains in my left hand side hoping its ovulation pains 🤞🏻 Not felt this twingy before but maybe post mmc x

Also to the ladies feeling low, I have been feeling the same on and off. Went to legoland in the week and there seemed to be so many pregnant women there! @VP91x think I remember reading you went there too? X

@Firevie my DH is the same, once he is out with friends he can’t say no and sometimes has got so drunk! Hope you manage to have a lovely time though.
@Pugprincess congratulations on the line progression, great news! Really hope this one sticks for you.

So I’m on cd36 and AF hasn’t shown yet but have been having cramping on and off the last few days so feel like it’s on its way. I tested this morning and thurs morning and BFN. Last cycle was 41 days but before that I was around the 31/32 day mark so don’t know what’s suddenly happening to my cycles. Had quite a few stabby/sharp twinges this cycle but know that could be anything. Haven’t been tracking this cycle but app on my phone thinks I’m 15dpo today so would’ve assumed I’d get something on a test by now. Used clear blue early detection. Just clinging to the fact I might’ve ovulated later. Hope you all have a lovely day in the sun today! X

@MichT4 so sorry I felt that way yesterday :( it’s totally normal. It good to allow urself to feel how u are feeling and vent it out on here. It will happen for u again, ur body can do it, it’s just working it’s way through the bad eggs—- that’s what I told myself anyway. Glad u are feeling a bit better this morning

Hope everyone else ok. Trying to read through but I’m so ill. Sickness came on full force last night and I’ve been up all night. Not complaining as this was the exact gestation day I woke up to bleeding with my loss in April. So I’m taking any and all symptoms even tho I feel so horrible... and it’s such a beautiful day outside. Wish I could go sit outside

@Pancakes7 I had a mc in 2016 before my daughter and it only took 3 cycles. Really hoping it's not long for me either but who knows xx

Also just to update I’ve never really had any suptoms either for af or pregnancy. I only noticed last pg that my boobs were in so much pain but that must have been 3weeks after ovulation so not sure what to expect now but as I listen to Bettina Rae I don’t Symptom Spot but I have noticed sharp pains in my left side this morning not sure what it means but I might make a note of it on my app anyway.

@MrsK21 @Northernsoul90 I have a pretty busy weekend. Training at the moment 🥵 and this afternoon we have lunch out for OHs Dads 60th. Then heading to my mums after that as having Sunday lunch there tomorrow. She lives by the coast so it'll be too busy to drive in the morning.

The puppy is definitely helping but it's weird, me and OH were both saying last night that we can't really get excited until we've got him. It feels like something will take him away. We think it's linked to the MCs and that feeling of not wanting to get excited just in case.

@Northernsoul90 my first AF after the first MC wa super light, and I was expecting something far worse. I think it just depends. And I think I said the other day, maybe because of how long it's been, a bit of blood has clotted and sat for a while. I think either you get a full flow or it stops and you know it was a light AF. Either way it's a clear out and a refresh.

@MichT4 I am with you with that feeling I've really had a down couple of days I need to snap out of it. I keep just thinking what if it never happens. I know I need to try and stay positive but you will know how hard that is at times. I hope you have something planned to try and keep your mind busy today!

@MichT4 @MrsK21 So the bleeding hasn't progressed as such, it's still there (day 3) and it's just light bleeding/spotting I would say with the same brown colour and stringy clots (sorry tmi). My periods have never been heavy - usually they would only last around 3 days sometimes 4 and have a couple of days of dark blood and maybe one day of red blood. I was just expecting more of a bleed as most people say the first period after mc is heavy and I haven't had any bleeding for 7 weeks, mc was 9 weeks ago but I had about 2 weeks of spotting/bleeding after that. I don't know what to think or whether to take it as af or not. The fact that it arrived on af due date makes me think it must be? I hope the nurse can reassure me when she rings

Sorry I've been a bit quiet, I was waiting out the recovery. But spotting has stopped and I'm feeling ready to try again. We DTD yesterday for the first time since the smm after mmc. So it's been a week since the smm yesterday. I'm really crossing my fingers that bring really fertile after an mc is true for me this time. When I had an mmc back in 2018, it took 3 months to conceive my son. But here's hoping!

@scrambledeggy how many dpo are you today?
I'm trying not to symptom spot, last night I had some cramping but I was only 5 dpo yesterday so unlikely to be anything xx

@MichT4 you've been through a lot recently so it's expected to have those "meh" lull days. It might just be a combination of things making you feel that way but at least you're aware and can try and pick yourself up. Puppy will defo help too! Any nice plans for the weekend?
