HCG stopped doubling...

Hi mums. We're 6/7 weeks along, but the HCG seems to have really slowed down. I know that the time it takes to double slows as the weeks go by, but this is concerning.

8 days ago it was about 18k. 4 days ago 35k (just about doubling in 4 days... That's ok!). But today it's only 43k. Barely 20% higher after 4 days.

Feeling really down. Going for an ultrasound tomorrow, but not feeling confident about it at all. Has anyone experienced/seen this?

So so sorry, I had a miscarriage in June and it was heartbreaking. Just be there for you wife, give her time, space if she needs it and lots of cuddles and you will both get start to feel better with time.

So sorry to learn this OP. I had a D&C with my most recent loss and it was absolutely fine. I'd recommend it if it looks like you will be waiting sometime for things to happen naturally. I waited 2 weeks but in the end I was fed up of being nauseated all the time for no good reason. My other two losses were spontaneous.

No heartbeat today.

Looking into a D&C.

Trying to be strong for my wife, but I don't know how to even try to comfort her.

For the mums and mums-to-be who replied here - thank you very much. It meant so much to me to be able to reach out and feel your support.

Spoke with another doctor, who told us that they would have recommended tablets after the second ultrasound. That it’s probably not viable. Feeling very broken.

Going for another one tomorrow. Feeling pretty hopeless. At this point, I just want certainty.

Spoke to the doctor this morning. Mixed news.

There is a heartbeat! But only 86bpm, which is low. Google tells me it's quite low. :(

It's hard because our doctor has been so negative since the very start. I'm just hoping that the bpm gets up there... Scheduling another ultrasound in 2 weeks, but I'm reading 85% chance of MMC for bpm under 90.

Just feel sad. It's hard to stay hopeful.

Ugh, I'm so sorry they weren't able to tell you more. Did they say when the doctor would call?

Ultrasound technician saw... Something. Waiting on the doctor to get back to us with real results, but the tech was ambivalent.
That's growth from last week (where we saw yolk sac but no embryo). They weren't sure about the heartbeat.

Now the wait for the doctor to call... Uuuuugh.
