@Sleeeeeepy

Welcome *@Onehotmess* I don't think you're crazy at all, I'm also 38 and TTC #3, I hope you get your BFP really soon

@Maddie020 No it shouldn't make any difference, otherwise no one in the Midlands (where I am) would have kids 😂

Excellent! How old are your 2 @Sleeeeeepy ?

Just a question ladies... we went to have Indian tonight and since coming back, my stomach is burning, I bet it's that hot curry ... would it impact implantation if I have conceived? I am on 8 dpiui

LT103 · 12/09/2020 17:27

Wow @mouldygrapes what lovely news and perfect day to get that line 🥰

Onehotmess · 12/09/2020 15:06

Hi all, sorry if I’m jumping on your thread 😬 I’m 38 TTC #3 after 6 year gap. Crazy?! Probably! We only DTD once and I think on actual o day so not liking my chances but will see how it goes. I had awful indigestion 2/3& 4 dpo which I know is too early for symptoms but the only time I’ve had it before is when pregnant. 7 dpo now (all rough estimates!) when does everyone test?! Go to all and congrats for the BFPS X

Highlandmama · 12/09/2020 14:17

So I got to Thursday and realised it was CD13 and not only had we not DTD but I hadn’t done any OPKs either! It’s been a hectic week. DH too tired on Thursday which was a bit frustrating but DTD last night... CD14 so maybe within the right timeframe? 🤷‍♀️ those saying they are frustrated with their OH I hear you! Those with sub-optimal results that’s so tough but don’t give up hope. It’s amazing what they can do via IVF and even with low sperm count, at the end of the day, it only takes one! So many highs and lows with this whole TTC thing.

Highlandmama · 12/09/2020 14:06

Awesome news @mouldygrapes so pleased for you. Understand there will be some nervousness too. x

Maddie020 · 12/09/2020 11:50

@mouldygrapes congratulations 🥳

Loll35 · 12/09/2020 10:47

@mouldygrapes fab news, congratulations!!

mouldygrapes · 12/09/2020 10:28

Thank you all! Still not sunk in, I keep looking at the test.

@Sleeeeeepy ah, sorry about AF. Hope the next cycle evens out a bit

@CC81 no I don’t mind at all. I’m 37 in November and had my coil out in May.
Hopefully a sticky bean, it’s so early that I can’t help be a bit anxious

CC81 · 12/09/2020 10:17

@mouldygrapes - Lovely news, hurrah! So pleased for you. xxx

How long have you been trying? Do you mind me asking your age? (Just interested/nosy Smile)

CurlyNo2 · 12/09/2020 09:27

Congratulations @mouldygrapes! Fantastic news x

Sleeeeeepy · 12/09/2020 09:24

@lucieloos

I was 36-37 but the chances of getting pregnant at 41 with ivf are quite a bit higher than getting pregnant naturally even with no issues so you have every chance. Have you had your amh tested?
I did it privately in January and it was crazy high (like 92. Something suggesting I have pcos but I don't) so who knows
claireb707 · 12/09/2020 08:19
@Sleeeeeepy I’m no expert but sounds like it could be implantation bleeding 🤞🏼

So here is the FRER I’ve been saving to do today especially as it was meant to be our wedding day.
I think I’m in shock...
What I thought was the start of AF has now stopped. Sorry if TMI but it was brown and more like a light flow on one pad but none after that. Somewhere between 6 and 9dpo if in fact I did ovulate, looked more like period but could it be implantation? Still a bit crampy so will see what the morning brings Confused

We should find out on 22 Sep whether or not our clinic thinks we should try IVF. Confused

@selina37 - Think we're in a similar place, as I'm nearly 39 and my recent ultrasound scan revealed that my egg supply is probably low (only 5 antral follicles detected - supported by elevated FSH). Not a surprise, but discouraging.

But I do apparently ovulate monthly, so I have similar chances to everyone else, for natural conception. It's just that I wouldn't necessarily make a good IVF candidate (as it requires a good egg supply).

Those with weird periods - I had a month earlier this year where my cycle was DEFINITELY influenced by stress. It changed all my timings and massively confused me. That's the problem with the TTC process - it's a bloody vicious circle!

DNpink82 · 11/09/2020 23:05

@CurlyNo2 I'm sick of hearing my husband saying he's got supersperm 🙄 I've not even had a period yet since implant removal yet he thinks he's amazing. He seems to think it'll be a wham bam thank you mam and it's starting to get on my nerves seeing as I've had nothing but pain and bloating for the last 3 weeks x

Does anybody else feel really frustrated with their partner over the whole TTC.

It feels as though we are totally out of sync. He is raring to go on my non fertile days but not interested on my fertile days. To be fair, he doesn't know when they are and I don't tell him as I don't want to put pressure on him but I get so frustrated.

He hasn't a clue how the female body works and that their is only a very short window of opportunity. We were very lucky conceiving our son so I think he thinks its 'wham bam thank you mam' and you're pregnant!

Sorry, I'm just so deflated. I know I am ovulating as I have the tell tale signs i get (significant one being pain ovary pain) but he is too tired. Another cycle missed as we last DTD on Tues so there is no chance.

Sorry, I just needed to moan Sad

claireb707 · 11/09/2020 22:12

@lucieloos

Sorry to hear about the results *@claireb707* we have dealt with poor sperm too. We did ivf with icsi though and we now have 2 lovely children so it can happen even though I know it's not the path you probably want to take. We got into the mindset that once a baby was here it wouldn't matter at all how they got here and it really didn't 💛
Thanks for that ☺️ can I be cheeky and ask what age you were when you first had ivf? Only I'm 41 now so we may be limited in our options because of that as well as the sperm issue 😢

The doctor I spoke to 2 weeks ago said that as soon as she gets the results of his bloods early - mid next week she will check everything then send off the referral to the sub fertility clinic. After that I'm.not sure what happens and no idea what the wait is either.
