Okay a TMI one Blush

I have to pee after DTD every time because I am prone to UTIs otherwise. But when I do that, I can’t lie down so nothing “falls out” for a bit Blush

Anyone else have this problem?! How long should you lie down for after DTD?

Loladoodle · 03/08/2020 12:54

Huge congratulations @Wavesandsmilesagain and @EmeraldLily18 🥳 fab news!!!! 💕

Muda · 03/08/2020 12:42

@Happyhappy37 wow are you moving to the Caribbean?

@Hayleywoody82 I’m good- I always feel fine at the end of AF as it’s like you have a new chance at it all and feel full of hope!
I’m not sure whether to track my ovulation as we are planning on dtd At least 4 times a week so should hopefully cover it all. I have got a couple of smiley sticks left so could always test around the time I think I’m ovulating.

LT103 · 03/08/2020 12:30

So my spotting is definitely heavier today so I’m calling this cd1 cycle 4! Let’s hope it’s a good one!!

Got my d21 progesterone back and it was 25 which I think is good so no worries there causing the spotting. Guess I just need to live with it. At least it was all fine

Tiletiletile1 · 03/08/2020 12:10

Congratulations @EmeraldLily18 and @Wavesandsmilesagain! Your stories give me hope - I have my fingers crossed for the rest of us still TTC!

I can’t even get DH to DTD two days in a row, let alone x2 plus a day for two weeks! We manage about four times a cycle - ahh. Maybe that’s where we’d going wrong! Grin

Homassy · 03/08/2020 10:34

Congratulations @EmeraldLily18 and @Wavesandsmilesagain. This is a lucky thread! Come and join us on old ovaries new lines if and when you you’d like xxx
Hugs @SnowWhite1985 and anyone else struggling. I remember all those feelings so one for TTC #1 and the even when the BFP arrives worrying it won’t stay. I don’t have any answers but exercise and distraction and old fashioned fresh air walks helped me
When the feelings got too much xx

Happyhappy37 · 03/08/2020 10:30

Good morning all, welcome to the new ladies. I know I haven't posted much. I am really busy trying to sort out a lot of things. My partner will be migrating next summer and we will follow after ( probably the following year or when ds finish college).

My eldest son will be moving to Canada once he finishes college, but wants to migrate with us first to Caribbean before he goes to Canada. It all came crashing down couple of weeks ago. Suddenly felt like we were running out of time as we actually haven't started doing much. I feel like I don't know where to start with planning. So I have started a to-do list. Most times I completely forget we are TTC. Also it's my partner's birthday next Tuesday, I actually forgot about it 🙈🙈

Sorry for the long post.

LT103 · 03/08/2020 10:22

Wow the golden ovaries are doing well this month!! Congrats @Wavesandsmilesagain @EmeraldLily18!!!!

Happyhappy37 · 03/08/2020 10:11

@EmeraldLily18 congratulations to you. That's amazing.👏🏾🤰😁

Semele5069 · 03/08/2020 10:10

Congratulations @Wavesandsmilesagain and @EmeraldLily18!!!

CD30/11DPO here and I don't know what's going on! After a BFN yesterday I went to the toilet and saw a bit more pinkish spotting than before, so resigned myself to the face I was out this month. However (and sorry for TMI!) I left my mooncup in overnight and when I took it out this morning there was nothing in it...so my period hadn't actually started.

Trying not to get my hopes up again too much. The first time I got pregnant I didn't even test till my period was a week late, so trying to get into the same headspace again!

M4v3r1ck · 03/08/2020 09:30

@EmeraldLily18 wooo hoooooo amazing news!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍 Fab seeing these BFPs coming in! Keep up the good work golden ovaries!!! 🤪🤣

I think I saw some new names, so welcome! 😃😃😃

@SnowWhite1985 sorry you're having a rough time! The whole TTC business is overwhelming and there is so much information and noise out there! However, all these ladies here are wonderful and this group is here for you for advice, offloading, etc! 😘😘😘

@FridaKFangirl fellow cyclet I'm a few days behind you! Hoping AF won't turn up mid-late next week, then will test! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Happy Monday everyone!

Hayleywoody82 · 03/08/2020 09:27

@Muda morning.
Yes I've started tracking im cd8 today. No smiley face yet but dtd last night. Last month I ovulated day 11 so hopefully soon.

How are you doing? Xx

FridaKFangirl · 03/08/2020 09:10

Hi All,

Anyone else testing on Thursday this week? I think I might...It will be 13DPO by then and CD22.

My Tracker suggests AF is due next Monday CD26, but given I was a day early last month and had a static on CD9, I'm thinking more likely due Friday/Saturday...

Sounds silly, esp as I'd said I'd only POAS if AF was late, but I feel like I'm making more progress if I test...As if it makes me more 'almost' pregnant... Grin

Sleeeeeepy · 03/08/2020 09:09

Congratulations @EmeraldLily18 !! That's brilliant news 😊x

@Hayleywoody82 How you doing- Have you started dtd yet? Are you going to track your ovulation this month or just dtd a lot?!

Muda · 03/08/2020 08:58

@EmeraldLily18 congratulations!

FridaKFangirl · 03/08/2020 08:53

Oooh congrats @EmeraldLily18!

@SnowWhite1985

Good luck to everyone! Nice to see some positives in the group. Feels like a day that will never come for us so it’s nice to try and stay hopeful. Ttc isn’t at all how I imagined it would be. I’ve found it incredibly lonely and I have major lows after the negative tests each month. It took me more than a year to persuade my partner we were running out of time, so now that we’ve gone 8 cycles with no success I also feel quite resentful of him sometimes. He went on the assumption that we’d conceive quickly so was unwilling to try until we were completely ready. But now he got a transfer with his work and I hardly see him during the week. It makes ttc really difficult and exhausting and it’s hard not to regret not trying earlier because we’ve been together a long time. He managed to convince me it would happen quickly because we’re both fit and healthy but of course it didn’t. I’ve spent months doing opks, but now I don’t even understand my cycles now I’ve started temping. And feel like I’ve got it all wrong and we’re DTD at completely the wrong time or perhaps I’m not even ovulating properly at all. Sorry for the long posts, feeling a bit over emotional tonight as we were supposed to spent tonight together but he had to go back to work early and then we couldn’t. Anyway...best of luck to everyone, nice to see so much positivity and solidarity in this group xx
Morning @SnowWhite1985. How are you feeling this morning?

I'm sorry to hear you're having a tough, emotional time. I think TTC can be very lonely for women with male partners, a lot of the 'emotional labour' of tracking, timing and testing sits with us.

I don't really have any advice, but didn't want to read & run Flowers

Wavesandsmilesagain · 03/08/2020 08:33

Congratulations @EmeraldLily18, but sorry you missed out on cocktails. Fingers tightly crossed for you

kwastell · 03/08/2020 07:58

Congratulations @EmeraldLily18 and @Wavesandsmilesagain

I do wonder if there is some link with getting pregnant when you start fertility investigations. I started having tests with the NHS back in November and got pregnant. (Unfortunately had a miscarriage.) Then started private fertility investigations in July and got pregnant.

The 3 other times I've been pregnant I haven't been having investigations, so it could be a coincidence.

EmeraldLily18 · 03/08/2020 07:42

Hey! Just wanted to add another wee boost onto this thread for those TTC for a while without much success, I finally got my BFP on Friday on what I thought was cycle 14 but it is actually cycle 15!

Congrats @Wavesandsmilesagain on yours too, I think we managed to DTD 6 times during FW so we were clearly slacking compared to your efforts! DH was complaining at 3 days in a row Grin

What we did differently this time, although may be coincidence; ‘followed’ SMEP(ish!), used Boots own brand conception supplements (I never got along with Pregncare), used a preseed type lube bought from Boots reduced section for £1!

I’m still in a wee bit of shock as we were beginning fertility investigations and DH had his SA on Thursday! We were heading out for anniversary on Friday so I did an early response test to make sure I could have cocktails! 🍹

Please don’t give up hope ladies, we were at the stage we really didn’t think it would happen!
Fingers crossed for a sticky one for us, and good luck to all about to test 🤞🏼

selina37 · 03/08/2020 07:27

I don't think I'd have any reproductive organs left after 52 times 😂 They'd have friction burned away 😂

Congratulations again though Waves!

@Wavesandsmilesagain

How is everyone this morning? I’m a bit deflated after DP’s monumentally underwhelming reaction... conversation was in french as he doesn’t speak English, but basically went “oh, that’s a bit of a surprise” , I pointed out that in total in the month of July he had been very proud that we’d DTD 52 times and he said, oh yes I suppose this would make a baby 🤦‍♀️ I suspect it’s the usual shock and hopefully in a few days he’ll be used to the concept (despite him being the one that had been most keen in the first place 😂).

Other than DTD, I was taking pregnacare and this time we used the conceive plus lubricant for about a week. I was trying to keep very active as well and walking average 7km a day. No other special tips from me but fingers crossed to all in FW or TWW

52 times 😮😮😮😮 52??!!! Bloody hell 😮😮😮 how are you not sore lol

Maybe he is worn out and has no energy for enthusiasm lol

Bloody hell woman that's made me worn out just thinking about 52 times 😂😂
