TTC after MC - July/August 2020 (Thread 8)

@Runnergirl1 that’s sad I wonder what happens to the baby, I know they are so small though I think ours would have been orange pip size. I know when people pass them straight away they still have amniotic fluid and can see the baby. Unfortunately I will never know what was in my sac because they didn’t pick it up on the scan 😔 I know there was a baby though cause I had a scan a few days before the mc and saw heartbeat 💓 Even if mine wasn’t there though least I buried the home it was in and the closest thing to it. Someone said to me that maybe they don’t pass so quick cause they are holding onto their mummy and that made me cry but it’s a nice thought and gives some comfort with it taking so long? How are you in yourself? I was ever so pale and not right. Once I passed the sac though I felt a lot better and my colour came back. Bleeding stopped after that day and was just bits of brown for a few more days then back to normal discharge. I felt like hospital told me bugger all to be honest. Even when we called the epau a couple of days into mc to say I was in worse pain than when I was in hospital they didn’t question it they just said oh maybe your uterus is contracting back to size?!

I tried my best to not wee but was no more than an hour or 2! The more I think about not being allowed to go the more I want to go! I had been testing a few days before and the line was there but faint. This is my my 3rd round but a different drug as nothing moved last 2 cycles. I will be happy just to be in with a shot each month! X

@Renna sorry AF came. I imagine it's a bit of a relief also though?
Do you think acupuncture triggered it? I wanted to try that this cycle but the lady I contacted wasn't taking anyone new. I might try another. Do you recommend?

@2020wish no not really taking it yet - was waiting for a bfp then was going to start. I did take some today though as my joints feel so inflamed I needed painkillers and it was all I had in the house!
How are you feeling?

@Renna sorry to hear AF has come XX how is the acupuncture working for you? I’ve tried it this cycle and found it pretty relaxing

Of course you can join, and welcome to the group. How long have you been taking medicine for ovulation?
These look really high - did you take them after a few hours without weeing or drinking? Was yesterday the first day?

I'd say if you hadn't held your pee, your peak could have been yesterday as those are really high. If today's were lighter it suggests you might have already had your surge.

Have you been DTD for the past few days? xx

@Pugprincess - everyone has different ways of dealing with it don’t they. Glad you had closure by having a burial. I passed the first lot on my own too as partner was at work. I can imagine same will happen with the rest. They don’t tell you much do they and what to look out for. Last Friday I didn’t really get anything from them about what to expect other than you might bleed - I think they knew it was on its way but just didn’t tell me. I would rather talk about it and what to expect as that helps me mentally. Not looking forward to expelling this bit but she said it did look empty x

Hi Everyone I was hoping I could join? I have been trying to conceive since February. I have PCOS so am taking meds to make me ovulate. These were OPKs (One step) from yesterday (I am very new to these- as well as ovulating!) are these positive? The lines aren’t as dark today. I took them at different points yesterday. It so nice to read I am not alone in this x

@MrsK21 I'm in the US so I get it on Amazon here or CVS. In the UK it's called Inofolic and you can get it on Amazon too and not sure where else. I'm like full on bleeding now after 70 something days, and it's very satisfying haha 😂🤣

@Runnergirl1 aww bless you, mine was measuring 6 weeks too, seems like a common time for them to go wrong. I passed mostly blood and clots. By night 4 I passed something that looked like placenta too me. Then the next morning I went for a wee and something plopped in toilet so I got it out and showed my mum and called a friend and sent her pics and they all agreed it was the sac. It was kind of long and meaty. I don’t know if you can send things directly to one person on this site, I have a photo of mine but you might not want to see it anyway. My DH was at work when I passed it and luckily the night before I read to put it in water if you want to preserve it for any reason. I put it in water in a Tupperware tub and put in fridge till husband finished work. I wanted him to have a chance to say bye before it looked any worse. Sorry this probably all sounds crazy but it just felt right for me and helped me to get through it. Pain wise I had bad pain every day until I passed the baby, it lasted a good 5-6 hours then would settle down and then returned. I think hospital should have warned me really but I think they thought it had left me. Don’t know why they didn’t see on scan x

@Pugprincess - is that after other things. I thought I passed it all on Wednesday but that must have been everything put the sac. Wednesday was tough as I too contracted as I lost something but guess I have to go through it all again for this part. They have given me codine for the pain if it gets to that point again. Not looking forward to going through all that again but I guess I’m going to have to. Thanks for the heads up. I should have been 11weeks on Wednesday just gone. But i believe it didn’t make it past 6 weeks x

@calimommy have you ever gotten pregnant by trying lots?

My one and only pregnancy was from just two consecutive nights of passion during lockdown lol. I knew I was mid cycle so in my head we was trying but I hadn’t tested. And it wasn’t just like quickies to get it done. But now I’m potentially ovulating we want to get lots in but I hope I’m not putting too much pressure on it. I don’t feel stressed about it though but I’m just keen and determined to get lots up there to give us the best chance as I hear fertility can be higher after mc? And this is straight after mc for me not even a period after yet.

I worry that quickies where I haven’t climaxed reduces our chances of success. Does that sound mad lol. I’m sure I read once that it helps 🙈

@Stayinghopeful92x AF arrived for me today 8 days late ... no idea why . So strange never happened before . I've been to acupuncture today and going next Thursday hopefully some treatment will help make sure my cycles regulate back to normal 🤞 gonna try throw everything at it this cycle and give everything a go supplements etc . I kinda gave up this last month thinking relaxing may hell but obvs hasnt 🙄 my due date would have been sept so would be nice to fall before this 😓😓 but losing hope .... although this is something I also need to work on this month. Thinking positive and that it will happen xx

Evening ladies just caught up on last two pages so hopefully I’ve got this right,

@Runnergirl1 so sorry this is so dragged out for you. My sac took about 5 days to come out and I’d had a scan and hospital told me I’d ‘passed the worst of it’. I’ve found the pain got worse for me so make sure you have pain killers, not to scare you might be fine but I needed co-codamol as ibu with paras wasn’t helping, hot water bottles too. Think I was literally contracting. How far gone did you get? I was 8 weeks. I hope it passes quickly for you. We buried our sac. I thought the baby was inside somewhere but I couldn’t see it. I guess it all deteriorates 😔 It helped me to give the baby a burial though.

@VP91x I’m glad you’re doing better and sounds like you have learnt lots in a short space of time. Like everyone else says you are well prepared for Monday.

@Diorissimo1985 sorry to hear you’re struggling. It is bloody horrible. I’ve been trying for 5 years with no success until lockdown and then mc so I know the pain and frustration all too well. You are not alone with us lot 💕

@MichT4 it was actually a fluke month. We only DTD once in what I guess was the fertile week. Thinking about all those times we ploughed away trying so hard...TTC sex is pretty soulless at times 😂 And I had gotten fed up with the whole thing. Only thing I did differently was taking EPM as well as the Agnus Castus. But I never know if these things help or if it's just a coincidence. This is pregnancy 7# for me. So far I have a 50/50 track record... will just try to be zen as there's nothing I can do now anyway. 🤞

@MrsK21 ooh lovely, where have you been? I'm sure I know what sausage you're thinking about if you've had some time away from OH 🍆😂

@micht4 thanks so much for sharing the uk breaks site. I've always talked about doing this with OH and now is the perfect time to try. I've always had a holiday or something booked to look forward to but Covid took care of that and you're right. The mc was so much worse happening during lockdown with no distractions xx

@SmileyT @VP91x you bad influences you! I might float the idea, not that I need to convince OH to get Chinese!

The good thing with them @SmileyT is that if you pick one not too far, or you don't mind, you could go Friday and come back Sunday. That's what we do, then it's one day max. Sometimes just half day or you could go in the evening - still 2 nights and days away.

Brunch sounds lovely. I need more brunches in my life xx
